Good Morning
43 and supposed to make it to the low 70’s today, another smokey day.
Here’s the sun coming up.
Doesn’t look much different than the afternoon sun yesterday.
Yesterday ended up being constantly busy. After breakfast did some computer work for the FAA, they issued a mandate that all pilot records for air carriers had to be entered into their “Pilot Records Database” by June 15. However their system isn’t robust enough to service everyone. So far about 80% of the times I have tried to make entries it’s been unusable.
So when it slowed to a crawl, we headed off to Costco.
The roof on the shop is 27 years old, it’s time to tear it off and replace it. This time I used an amazing powerful tool which I very rarely pull out. My wallet.
The material was delivered yesterday, as well as the dumpster for the old roofing.
They say it will be done today, I’m not sure how big of a crew they are bringing, but it’s a 10/12 pitch with dormers, so not the easiest job.
Costco had Brisket for $3.59 a pound for full packers. So I decided to get one and some pork shoulders to feed the roofers. Loaded the smoker up late yesterday afternoon, and it was ready this morning. Pork is pulled, and is in the Cambro along with the wrapped brisket.
Neighbor came over with the stainless top for their pool filter with some pinholes in it. Sealed them up with silver solder, and told them to come for lunch today.
