58F and "Fair" @ 22:00, heading down to around 47F overnight ...

High hit 73.8F here today, was rather breezy again.

Bunch more loads of screened compost hauled down to the garden. Leveled it out with the box blade some:

Really starting to make quite a dent in the screened pile:

More contemplative cud chewing and solving The World's problems:

Refilled hopper feeder late this afternoon, also refilled tube feeders and put those out.

More trimming around the base of that big Japanese yew, exposed the second entry hole to the burrow:

Three more bucketloads of trimmings hauled to the brush pile in the back:

Amazon dropped off the 5" exhaust adapter while I out picking up dinner.

Ended up watching "Woodpeckers: The Hole Story" on Nature on PBS after dinner, just kind of having a relaxing evening.

May go throw a load of wash in and do a little kitchen cleaning before I hit the rack.

Hope everyone had a great Wednesday ... (y)

had a very nice dinner, friends have left, dishes done, now I need to take my night pills and hopefully get rid of a very sore neck.
that's mostly from today's driving. Need to put my soft collar back on.

seems to be cooling off a bit, wish I could open windows but sure don't want the airborne junk inside rv. always feel like I need to wash my face, to get the airborne pollen and who knows what now off of me.

went for nice drive in golf cart, but waiting until tomorrow to cross over the public road and go see Masseys Landing. Boat ramp there, that can always be entertaining. I'll have the morning to myself, then friends come back for lunch and rest of day. We have dinner reservations nearby along with another couple, the couple who went kite flying with us last year. I brought them another kite.
after dinner coming back here for apple pie and wine.

been a long day, bed is calling.
Boat ramps are some of the best free entertainment there is!

Good report from Sophie’s ophthalmologist, continued progress.
Errands done, nice lunch at Panda Express.
Although I called a non painting day I did get my last 3 columns and main living room beam painted. Got some clean up as well.

Coffee has finished brewing. 48° clear skies this morning. Heading to 73° with mix of sun and clouds. Smell of wood burning is in the air. Helped neighbor put up some metal shelving in his garage yesterday. Grocery shopping this morning. Then stay in out of the smoke filled air.

55 and some haze, but feels good outside. Going up to 78.

The heaviest band of smoke is supposed to get here today. We always look forward to cold fronts bringing down colder Canadian air, like now. Too bad this nice week-long one has the smoke from these unfortunate fires. We've seen many news/weather reports talking about the smoke and air quality but not a word about any actions underway to fight the fires. Anyone know if anything is being done? I feel sorry for the folks living nearby.

Mostly stayed inside yesterday, roasted 3 batches of coffee, so guess I didn't help matters.

Great flower pix.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly. . . ).

54.5F, going into 80’s supposedly sunny all day.

Mrs and I went up to the woodlot and spent couple hours picking up/pulling our/cutting out roots and other debris from the planting plot. 15 plastic keg bucket loads later, we were hot and sweaty, so no post charring got done.

today starts off with chiro visits, then taking mom shopping, which is usually followed by lunch.

Something got shifted in the freezer and the door didn’t completely seal, so it is a winter wonderland in there this morning. So I need to do some rearranging.

time to get it in gear!

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe productive blessed day!
