Good morning! 66˚F heading to the 80s chance of rain like the last few days that were missing us. Looks like Spike and Kyle, south of me, got some rain though.

Chain saw would not start yesterday, it's becoming more and more unreliable, may have to get a new one or a battery (EGO)one. When I was putting fuel in it the gas was running out the other side and I couldn't see where it was coming out.
I just used a sawzall.

Today we will be doing FireWise closer to the homes to reduce the fire load by taking out the cedars damaged by the ice storm.

Kilroy, When my tractor did not fit in the barn I raised the header board and added a window on the top that opened and gave me more clearance. Have fun working the new toy, and don't flip it, it looks good all nice and shinny.

Good Morning
54 going to the high 60’s under partly cloudy skies with a slight chance of a passing shower.

Yesterday’s weather was quite nice, especially in FL and the Bahamas.

A bit cloudy and a thunderstorm just off the airport at Wilmington, NC where we cleared back into the US.

Interesting experience as I was almost detained here though. Because I couldn’t find my passport for the officer. My copilot had it by mistake, apparently we have identical fight bags and keep our passports in the same place. It sorted out when the one he presented had my picture!!!

Zoe’s class last night was canceled because the teacher was sick, so I did not have to race home or miss it. Had a smoked Hawaiian ribeye at Mission BBQ with copilot. If it seems like I go there a lot, it’s because it’s close to the airport and has relatively fast service. Most of the copilots go in a different direction home than me, so it’s convenient. There are a few that will meet me at my house and commute with me, giving us more options.

Today will likely start with breakfast with the professor followed by some clean up and hopefully today we will try the drone air to air video with the RC planes.
Can’t believe it’s almost time to mow again, but it’s that time of year. The good news is I don’t have to go anywhere for the next couple of weeks.

Kilroy, When my tractor did not fit in the barn I cut the header board and added a door on the top. Have fun working the new toy, and don't flip it, it looks good all nice and shinny.
My plan is to sister up two boards on the beam over the door and remove the header board completely, then build up the top of the doors to fill the gap.

Morning all, grey day today 57 to 69.
Got a lot more of the driveway cleaned up, me on the gas hedge trimmer, son on the M18 pole saw. Both on the chipper. Son's first time using a chipper. 700 feet done, still need to do around the trench and brushcut the roadage.

He gets inducted into the National English honors society today and told us he is bringing his new girlfriend over on Saturday, we have never met this one.

KC - Congrats on the new ride!

Drew - Borax for sugar and small ants always works for me. My old house used to get big infestations. Put down borax by where they were marching along the wall and a day or two later, no ants:

Jay - Mass Moca? Been there, was not too far from my Uncles house. I remember when that building was Sprague and it was textiles before that.

10 hours of heavy yard work, today might take it easy. Might be pool opening today.

Be well,

I understand - I did 25 years in law enforcement in NJ.
Thank you for your service. As an admission psychologist I "joined the party" on numerous occasions helping police officers wrestle a less than cooperative pending new admission through the front door. ;)

Coffee is brewing. 47° with mostly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 70° with sunny skies. Got tire on JD yesterday. Did get some grass trimming around buildings. Did not get any weed killer down because of wind. Neighbor sold some paver bricks that were on 7 pallets. I loaded 4 of them on buyers trailer with tractor. 3 more pallets to load later this week. More trimming today.
First Oriole this year.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.
Ron- Nice picture. Thanks for sharing. I started putting oranges out last week to welcome the returning B.O.'s.... Maybe today.

Agree and we as parents have used police to transport and admit. Police was always very helpful and understanding and escorted ambulance to the hospital. Like I said we have experience just not professional but from a user of health care perspective

Good morning, the low temperature was 40 and going to a high of 62°F. Wind NNW 5 to 10 mph. Zero precipitation.

Nice hoe. Now the fun begins!

I plan to retire in a couple of years. I don't think my retirement plan can afford an $80,000.oo machine, unfortunately. I don't know if I can float a life insured loan at 77.

I have caught up with my get up and go, so I WILL be doing at least some of the tin work today. At a minimum cutting it away from the plastic on the fridge doors. Right now I have the V-plow sitting on top of my M416CDN2 army trailer. I want to get that finished so the plow can sit back down on its' skid. Then the trailer will be usable again.

I just looked at the back yard again yesterday, and I have about 4 to 6 hours worth of trimming and cutting to shove the bush back where it was when I bought this place.

I did get both sides of the driveway cleaned up and cut back about 6'. More room to put snow. There is one tree that I am leery (call that scared) of taking down with my hoe on the Kioti. It is higher than the hydro lines and about 10' from them. I don't want to be 'that' guy.

Breakfast time, have a safe day all

Just remember:

The purpose of the Police Psychological Examination for Employment for the Police Academy is NOT to determine whether or not the applicant is crazy.

you have to be crazy to be a cop.

The purpose of the Police Psychological Examination for Employment for the Police Academy is to determine whether you are the right kind of crazy.

🤣😂

Kilroy- Congratulations, yes I agree that bribery works with nursing “frontliners”, and good luck learning how to operate the mini.

Drew- Good luck with the dermatologist and dentist. I cannot relate to the dermatologist (yet), but I can definitely relate to the crowns due to my nocturnal teeth grinding. Working with the mentally ill did take its toll on me, but if given the opportunity “the next time around” I would definitely jump at another opportunity to serve them.

Dennis- It’s awesome that your Dad can still get around and enjoy an active lifestyle. Thanks for sharing.

Fritz- Thanks for sharing the dog and tractor pictures. I probably have more pictures of tractors than my Wife. What is frustrating is the lack of available community based services for those in need and their families.

Popgadget- Thanks for the pictures. I hope your return flight(s) are uneventful.

Ken- You must be very proud of your son and I hope Saturday goes well with the new GF. Yes I was referring to Mass Moca. Wifey and I have been there quite a few times. Sometimes it’s a + experience, sometimes not, and sometime actually disturbing. I always enjoy watching the “uniqueness” of the artists and artist wannabe's 😲 🤯

I would have had no problem with a used machine that might have needed some work, but I was “counseled” my Mrs. that it “may” be better to have a machine that has no issues and has a warranty and has a service contract and we can use immediately and has no “prior-owner-induced” hidden issues.

Last month, there was a tired Kato 28000lb excavator on CL for $10G, but no thumb or plow. If it had them, I might have gone for it because I would have enough reserve power and capacity for my smaller needs. But it probably would need a couple hoses, and full fluids and filter change — and a new seat! It looked like Hooch had it for dinner 🤣😂

it all depends on what you are willing (or unwilling) to fix!

Some high level clouds and upper level smoke plume made for a colorful morning with 38ºF as this morning's low temperature. More high level clouds are building in further filtering the sunshine. I expect these conditions to continue through the rest of the day with high temperature ~ 60ºF.

Yesterday I did not put 2 and 2 together as it related to the unexpected upper level haze. The haze was/is actually a smoke plume from wildfires in Alberta, Canada. I've been smelling smoke the past 2 mornings.

Thanks Jay, and the lack of insurance coverage for healthcare services. When presented with bills over 100 grand that insurance would not cover is no fun

At the risk of going into TBN Timeout, this country sends a lot of money to countries that do not like us - a LOT of money - that should be spent here.

Homeless veterans are just a start Of that discussion…

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 6:15AM. Sun and clouds mixed. High around 75F. Winds WSW at 5 to 10 mph.

Wow! We went from debating causes of violent crime to rolling in :poop: in just a few posts. Can't call this crew narrow minded...

Jumpered the fuel pump on the VW directly to the battery yesterday and the darn thing still wouldn't start. I give up, and we'll have to push the thing out of the way for the house painters today.

A neighbor came over and we killed a bottle of wine around the camp fire, but were still unable to solve even one of the world's problems. That's job security...

RNG, you now can claim to own the most reliable car and least reliable car

good trip to dermatologist, scrape and burn, a freezie or three and out I went.

now to deal with Comcast and Verizon online
frustrating experience going to Verizon store in Doylestown.
Oh we don't deal with that, we just do cellular.
really?
clearly both companies have discontinued live person customer service locally, do it all by phone or online I guess.
want to get new Internet with Verizon, who also has my cell coverage, and discontinue with Comcast altogether.
