Went to the post office to mail a package and stopped at the Kubota dealer on the way home. A few big tractors and a lot of small ones but very few mid size ones.

To all the birthday wishes thank you to anyone I have missed and Rich yes I owe you a beer. And Newbury thank you for the link. You are always able to pull anything up that is hard to find.

Jay glad you are back on. We would love to find a good outdoor type restaurant, maybe this spring/summer.

Drew good luck battery shopping

Been using a hoe to pull the viney weeds from the garden rows. This stuff grows in early spring, late winter and is a pita. Unfortunately it has already gone to seed, usually I try to get it earlier.
Having the BX here now is great. What a fun tractor to run. I got the weed piles moved with it, and cleaned up the yard edge along the treeline.

I’m curious about YouTube tv.

Why I choose Youtube TV.

Appears to have the channels wife likes, but especially the local channels. We don’t have the option to get them OTA as we have this big mountain between us and Honolulu. Maybe need to investigate the $5 Roku option.

Unlimited DVR. Have become accustomed to the Dish feature of DVR the evening Prime Time shows to go back later and delete those of no interest or even binge watch a whole season of something.

Youtube TV allows me to turn on multiple devices and have multiple accounts. Before losing DishAnywhere sophie could have on a program and I could grab my ipad and briefly check a game. Also handy when we have visitors as they can watch whatever on TV in their room.

No contract. Apparently I can change service, add channels, or even terminate on a whim.

Not additional equipment to rent/buy. Most of my Dish stuff is 10+ years old, but to update I would have to pay big bucks up front.

YouTubeTV uses the set remote, unlike my too often failing Dish remotes.

3 week free trial and then a period of reduced fee.

Pretty steep price, tiller comes without power head, so about $500 for both.
could get a small horse for that :)
Of course feeding and vet bills might set you over the limit.

This I could maybe afford right now:

After getting hit up for taxes owed.

Reviews are pretty bad though

Ken, MIL has one of those.
Greenworks 80v system is $400.
I wanted something small and light, so I don’t have to use the troybilt tiller or the 5 ft on the tractor. . Also looking to not remove and reinstall the plastic.

69F and supposedly "cloudy" @ 15:00 ... it sure looks pretty sunny to me though.

No rain since midnight but WU is calling for showers this evening turning into a steady rain overnight. Precipitation amount is expected to be around 0.25".

That should keep things greened up and growing ... (y)

Next three days are looking very nice.

Another week's worth of meds doled out.

Hopper and tube feeders probably due for a refill.

Low fuel light is on in the van so that's due to be refilled. Cargo area in back needs swept out as well.

May put the bucket on and take Kubota up and scrape off the weeds that have sprouted up in the previously screened compost.

Probably move the grapple into the shop for the "wing" treatment before I do that though.

Got a little sunburn from welding yesterday, need to find my other sleeve which The Woman claims may be down here at the house.

She just headed off to Goodwill with a neighbor.

Attic fan just kicked on.

Hope everyone is having a good Monday ... (y)

A guy pulled into the grocery store parking lot in a shiny black ford F-150 Lightning. Nice. All electric. I looked it up when I got home. $61k to almost $100k WOW. It is supposed to tow 10,000 #. We are living in a changing world. I like my battery powered tools.

I can't tell about today. It was cloudy earlier but the sun is trying to come out now. All I know is that the lawn needs mowing. What else is new it is May.

Chris
Towing 10K would drain the battery pretty quickly.

More clouds than I had anticipated today, but the 66ºF afternoon high temperature was very pleasant. I had this squirrel watching me as I tried to capture some avian action andI managed to capture a female Cowbird and Red-Breasted Grosbeak:

Changed out the batteries and reprogrammed the spa timer and shortly realized that in spite of being a multi program digital it is dumb. Can only have 1 program active and that only allows a single On/Off setting where I want 2 so I can do morning and afternoon like I did with the mechanical timer. Grrrrr. It will get replaced.

I have that rototiller. Works good. Got tiller off EBAY. Still new in box. Got power head from HD.
When they have a sale Direct Tool Factory Outlet has some good buys. They had a 40% to 50% off sale last weekend. They should have a sale for Memorial Day weekend.

I have both a gas and 40 volt power head. Lowe’s Kolbalt power heads also fit the Ryobi stuff.

I got lucky later this afternoon. This Red-breasted Grosbeak admirably held his own against the Blue Jays, Red Wing Blackbirds and Grackles at the suet cake buffet:

I didn’t realize that not all smart TV’s have the Roku app like mine do. That’s what happens when you assume.
Our “smart tv” is ten years old…

it was very Smart back then, not so much now. Hence RoKu.

We have an outside over the air antenna and my wife wanted so we have the amazon fire tv. We really don't watch much TV so it's pretty much a waste of money. She keeps wanting dish network and I keep holding out that it's not worth the money and the time that would be wasted. I do miss a lot of the motor sports and the RFD channel but you had to pay for the high dollar packages to get those channels. We do watch some of the series that have been on but just like old fashioned over the air tv if I liked it, it didn't last but just a couple of seasons or less.
I cannot say enough that RoKu is the way to go. Forget Dish/DirecTv.
