.51 inches of rain, really came down and then stopped, one more batch coming in a little while
sure made everything look greener

baking some blueberry cranberry orange muffins.

David, I've really thought about putting a bidet seat in the rv, has an electric outlet down low and I put a full size toilet in just to make sure
I could in future. yes, heated water, adjustably heated water... a must.

tulips just closed up a little and became their own little umbrellas

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low was a remarkable 14.8C and it's presently 13.8C, overcast with gentle breeze. It's been raining since midnight and will continue until this evening so I'll check the gauge tomorrow. (The aerodrome reports 10.8mm)

I'm off to Church in a half hour and then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.

Took the front grill off the husqvarna mower and removed the hood. Got battery on charger.
Removed plugs and turned blades, then remembered there’s a clutch and I’m not turning the engine. Put plugs back in.
Tried to start it, but it stops dead. Got a feeling the engine is toast.

/ Good morning!!!! #167,988
Turn it by the nut on the front pulley. If not turning pour down wd 40 in the spark plug openings and let it soak and try again
yea, I gotta take some stuff off to get to it. wanted to get battery charging today.

67F and clear @ 21:30, heading down to around 59F for the overnight low.

Reasonably productive day.

Got inside of fan shroud painted, also most of the electric motor:

IMG_2458 copy.jpg

Will need to flip it over tomorrow once it's dry and hit the other side.

Used some acetone to remove the gray overspray on the fan itself:

IMG_2456 copy.jpg

Had a visitor come by when I went outside to paint the fan shroud:

IMG_2455 copy.jpg

Got everything unloaded from the van except for a cast iron extension wing and another piece of sheetmetal.

That hydraulic hose was, in fact, Eaton brand:

IMG_2459 copy.jpg

No idea exactly how much of it there actually is - probably something less than 50' - but it seems like a pretty fair amount:

IMG_2460 copy.jpg

Got hole drilled for the strain relief for the cord for the RUN/STOP switch and got cord wired into the VFD.

Also power cord for the VFD and 110v outlet wired up inside, in the junction box:

IMG_2462 copy.jpg

IMG_2463 copy.jpg

Still have to run the cord for the 3 phase power from the VFD to the electric motor ... but can't really do that until I finish painting the motor and get it mounted in there so that I know the exact length that it needs to be.

Grape hyacinths - at least the ones that didn't get pruned by the deer - are blooming, along with the forsythia:

And the hosta are coming up:

Woman ran out to Maki House and picked up dinner, even after this morning's disaster with the Snasauge McMuffins at the local MickeyD's.

She be heading over here in a little bit to put the neighbor's dogs to bed.

I'm going to kick back on the couch and maybe catch some of the NBA playoffs.

Hope everyone had a good Saturday ... (y)

Nice work on the saw. You really put in the effort. That saw will be around for a long time. Used to go up to your area for meetings with First Energy and events at the Firestone golf course

Pulled the battery out of the Z-turn at noon today. Charger said it was at 80%, after sitting outside all winter. Not bad. Put it on charge and at 4 P.M. it was 100%. Stuffed it back in the mower. Most of the work was done on my knees with the arm rest supporting my chest. It is easier on my back that way. Tomorrow I will fire up the Z-turn and at the very least run the motor for a few hours to run the fuel out of it that was left in last fall. The good thing is it was high test, zero methanol. Today was T-shirt weather and I was sweating.
Tomorrow is forecast to be the same.

Good evening. Lovely drive up from town to the cottage today, bringing up 3000 pounds of Vinyl flooring. Had to split it between my F150 and the wife’s Toyota 4runner.

Weather was nice and sunny, 82°F. Had a lovely time after we arrived going down to the dock, and watching the sunset with the dog for the first time this season. Ice is starting to come off the lake, but it is just our little bay that you see below.

It will
be a busy weekend, unloading the flooring, moving some firewood over, starting to get the rental property, ready, etc. etc. etc.

But I love it!

Everyone enjoy the weekend!

Coffee is brewing. 54° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 73° with rain and thunderstorms in afternoon. Forecasted rain and thunderstorms never showed up yesterday. Will see how well todays forecast works out. More rocks to take out of pond. Have been limiting how many I take out each day to keep from injuring my left shoulder. Some of them weigh 50 lbs. Got half of them out.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
1.24 rain total last night, really nice soaking rain
mid 70s and clouds today

TwoBit, I got really sick three years ago, sold my farm in NC, was not expecting to get out of assisted living for rest of life, but
could not bear to sell the Gravely. So I gave it to an old friend near here who has had two wheel Gravelys a long time. He had a garage and stored it for me,
using it once or twice a year. When I got my health back, it was time for the Gravely to come back to me.
I also gave away my boat, my Kubota UTV, my log splitter, etc etc etc.
At least on my trip to Michigan in July I will be reunited with my dual console Scout 16 and will get to drive it again. My brother and his grandchildren love using it on the Lake, am happy they keep it.
When I got sick, and with a very poor prognosis, my family sold off 99 percent of what I owned. Having this machine come back to me is important to me.

here's a pic of my oldest brother driving the Scout on Lake Michigan. I'm really excited to drive it again.
All his grandchildren are girls, so they named the boat Girl Scout.

did not go food shopping yesterday, will do so this morning.

Good morning,
49° now high’s in the mid to upper 50’s and cloudy, may see some showers late afternoon early evening, winds NE around 5 mph.

Yesterday was a productive day outside after the morning dump run, stick pick up, most of the garden cleaned up. Took down a mostly dead 15’ Japanese maple, not sure what if anything will replace that, still need to dig out the stump.

Not sure what today will bring just take it as it comes.

Enjoy your day everyone
