Good morning!!!!

Good morning, the low is 51 and the high to 73°F. Wind E 9 mph. Sunny!

I think today will be a recharge the Z-turn battery day. If I can get the Z-turn running tomorrow, then I will kick the Dodge out of its' shelter and put the Z-turn in. The only reason I keep the Dodge in a shelter, is because I am too lazy to clean the snow off the roof and I avoid an insecure load ticket this way.

Not much else I plan on doing today.

Have a safe day all
I have had great success with 10 mil sheet plastic across the roof and windshield for show clearing - one good pull and it all flies off.

a definite MUST whenever ice storms are predicted. One yank and it all comes off, too. No scraping.

Good Morning
62 with a high of just over 70 with rain and thunderstorms likely today.

Yesterday was another nice day, I got all the mowing done and the new model assembled. Of course the battery, charger and transmitter are coming today, and the weather won’t be good. But I have a nicely mowed flying field….

Not much planned for today, patiently wait for FedEx to bring my toys, the ever popular shop cleaning, and whatever pops up.

Good morning, 62 going to 71 with rain on the way.

Did not get mowed yesterday as much as I wanted.
Flowers are still coming out. Wife had me plant a bunch in prior years. She buys it for me to plant thinking how easy that would be. But when hundreds of bulbs show up what was she thinking??
The Redbuds are getting deeper colors every day.
Leaves are coming out on the River Birches. Nut trees are always later.

PT went well yesterday. with session focussed on the tracking of the knee cap. Will alternate sessions with shoulder and knee exercises.
Had a new PT person. She was really good. Hope she will continue

60F and "Fair" @ 08:15, heading up to around 81F for the day's high with a mix of sun and clouds.

Got air filter replaced on Cub yesterday morning and deck cleaned off. Hooked up battery charger. Haven't heard anything from the dealer so I'm guessing they won't be by to pick it up until the first of the week.

Woman covered the Stella D-Oro's which the deer had been munching on with netting.

Picked up Woman's car, right front wheel bearing replaced (warranty) along with the vacuum line to the purge valve. No more check engine light ... (y)

Got payment sent off to Uncle Sammy. Painful.

Exterior of electric motor fan shroud painted:

Electric motor itself mostly primed:

May have a little more to do on the bottom of that today, then shoot it with the topcoat.

Made run down to Menards in Massillon and picked up bird seed and suet plus a few other items.

After that I headed over to Wooster on Route 30 to meet up with the guy who had the saw/equipment parts for sale. Seemed like a very nice young man, wood carver.

Pleasant drive out through rural areas and Amish country, enjoyed the barnyard smells but could have lived without the smell of the human septic waste they were putting down on the fields.

Will need to go through and inventory all of it after I make some space up in the shop so I can unload and store it, but I saw enough to know it would be worth it to me for what he was asking:

IMG_2454 copy.jpg

He even included a partial roll of H28008 1/2" 2-wire 5000psi hydraulic hose, which itself was probably worth the price of admission.

Came back on OH-585 through Smithville:

Then over to Doylestown and down through Rogues Hollow:

IMG_2453 copy.jpg

And then down through Clinton where I had to wait on a train to go by.

Woman had a fresh batch of spaghetti and meatballs + garlic toast waiting when I got back.

Once I had eaten dinner, I got the Menards order unloaded and the sunflower and safflower seeds and suet put away.

Pretty much called it a day after that.

Fell asleep on the couch, woke up when Woman got home from putting neighbor's dogs to bed, but fell back asleep and slept through until this morning.

Agenda for today:

Likely more work on Unisaw reassembly.

Maybe some unloading of the van if I can make space in the shop.

Need to see if I have any rear pads for the van in stock, as I have metal to metal contact on the right rear wheel.

Also need a pair of wiper blades and tires for the front (at a minimum) This coming Monday or Tuesday would probably be a good day to handle the tires, when it turns wet and cooler again.

May be some involvement in getting the neighbor's lawn mowed for her today. Her son normally does it, but she has been tied up with him at the hospital. Think he was in surgery over 12 hours and was still in intensive care last I had heard.

Beyond that see what else comes up.

Hope everyone has a good Saturday ... (y)

Good morning! 57° now, high of 77°. We already have had one light rain, chance of scattered rain today.

We need the rain, but not today. First race of the Ohio season tonight at Salem.

Been doing lots of yard work including 1st mowing of the season this week. Need to replace a spindle assembly on the one tractor, has a noisy bearing. Ordered 3 new assemblies to have spares. Price each was about the cost of parts to rebuild an assembly.

Better get moving.

Everyone stay safe out there.

Frits, glad your PT is helping. The more bulbs the merrier, easy once you use a portable drill and planting auger.
I think your wife just loves the flowers. Just remember, job security...
maybe when your shoulder feels better...

got everything done outside. Cool and humid out. Watered some evergreens that needed it since we haven't had any rain,
watered the garden, watered the golf cart, everything got a drink.
And I rewarded myself with strawberry 2 & 3. Number one was a dud, and I had to cut some bad parts of these but the taste was
intensely sweet and delicious. Score.

now I can have a daily grazing through the cherry tomatoes and strawberries. Both good for me.

hosed off the rv and car too, layered in yellow pollen. Hoping that if rain isn't heavy enough, at least the pollen won't become like speckled cement on top.
No wind predicted, just rain. Fine with me.

moved everything in garage around, again, and fit the scraper inside, after greasing the rear wheels.

now to clean up paperwork in office, file stuff before I lose it.

Buppies, sorry you aren't healing well. Even more annoying when you can't even see it...
Every time my back itches I wonder what is going on "back there".
Sending prayers for a medical knockout punch that gets you back on the beach. Covered up...

Managed to get mower started. LOL. New air filter, new gas, shot it with starter fluid, one pull and away I went. Checked new mower prices while at store. Not going electric, not buying new mower either. <snip>
I just went through that. In Mississippi I've about 1/4 acre of lawn to maintain. In 2011 bought a minimalist push mower from TSC for about $130. From 2013 on it's been a pain to use. Several pulls at least and a shot of ether.
Been waiting ever since for battery powered mowers to meet my price point.
Wanted DeWalt and powered since I'm heavily invested in their line. (I've even got their DEWALT FLEXVOLT Power Station (DCB1800), that I've used as an inside power source for TV, internet, etc. when the power goes out and the UPS(s) die.)
First few DeWalts that came out were either underpowered or too expensive for my taste.
Finally this year Home Depot had a sale on a 20V MAX 21 in. Battery Powered Self Propelled Lawn Mower with (2) FLEXVOLT 12Ah Batteries & Charger for $750 (minus my 10% veterans discount). Well the best price I've been able to find on the 12Ah batteries is about $300 EACH w/no discount.
So I'm looking at this as buying 2 batteries and for $150 more they throw in the lawnmower.
:)
/edit - and just after I wrote that it ARRIVED, batteries were down to 1 bar out of 3 so I slapped them on my DCB1800, see how long they take to charge.
