51 and mostly sunny here in srn NH. Increasing clouds, with a high near 63. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph, forecast for today.
BEF, think your bleary eyes and scratchy throat may be caused by the train wreck air blowing over from eastern Ohio? Hope it's not near your dad's farm.
Alpaca VisionGood Morning.
A bit grey and rain coming later, but nice outside now.

Yesterday did not disappoint, it kept me busy all day.
We have a camera in the barn, connected by WI-FI link that has not been very reliable. When we put the water line into the barn, I placed 1” and 1-1/2” conduits in the trench along with the water line, “just in case” as the trench crossed the incoming electric line and driveway, which was repaved about 3 years ago.
So I ran a piece of cat 6 Ethernet cable through the 1” conduit. The conduit is about 250 long, the total cable run was 330 feet, which is exactly the limit for Cat 6 performance. It works great now.
So the high power outdoor access point on the shop is now primarily for streaming music to the tractor…
As far as the day not disappointing, first thing, I had to run to HD to get LB fittings for the conduit as it just came out of the ground and was capped. On the way down the lane I saw this-

After a quick trip back up for the carryall with the Makita chainsaw and blower, it looked like this-

The rest of the trip and job went as planned. My wife was impressed with how easy it was to get a poly pull line through the conduit with a piece of a plastic shopping bag and a shop vac. 250 feet took about 30 seconds at most.
After the cable was run, terminated and tested, I connected it to the switch and the camera and was rewarded with success.

It was at least 60 degrees out, so the next outside task was to move the rest of the remaining hay from the hay shed to the barn, followed by loading grain and shavings in there as well. The ground was dry enough for the carryall to not leave marks, but a truck wouldn’t be so lucky.
Not sure what I’ll come up with for today, the little plane has a flat tire, so I’ll go pull the wheel on that and bring it home to change. Ordered a new tube for it, I’m not a fan of patching them. Son discovered it when he went to fly it to work yesterday. He uses it fairly often, and takes his son up in it as well. Considering that I bought it 25 years ago to teach him to fly, I would say it doesn’t owe me a dime.
Might look around to see if I have a Wi-Fi access point and if I do I’ll put it in the barn now that it has a gigabit connection.
Yep, we "touched" MD. Hope you get to feeling better fast.Glad you got hike in. Did you cross the bridge to hit MD?
I’m definitely getting the crud.
