spent the last hour online getting motorhome insurance.
Somewhat annoyed and disappointed when done.
Good Sam's insurance, the rv specialists, quoted me what I knew to be a lowball price of 380 bucks a year for full coverage.
I expected 5-600. My existing insurance agency locally quoted me 800 with the same company my auto and homeowners were with.
Underlying liability limit requirements of my umbrella policy disqualified me from the cheapest Good Sam's rates. But same agency online could place it with
Progressive, which is where I first thought I'd be going, for 522. My annoyance is that current insurance agent can also place coverage with Progressive.
Just about all independent agents can access Progressive for cars, boats and rv's.
When I showed them the final quote, they said "oh we write with Progressive too".
Really. Then why didn't you offer me the less expensive alternative? Why wasn't I given the choice up front?
Done deal, went with agency that handles Good Sam's, not going to reward local agency for this.
have to be careful about moving insurance around when one gets over 70, and for sure over 75.
but my allegiance to this agency just went out the window.
I'm going to get it from Good Sam unless there is a reason not to, where I've always bought it before. Are you getting towing coverage from good Sam or AAA?
Good to hear the eyes are getting better. Sorry the ladies are getting their laughs making wisecracks at your expense....losing at H&FGlad you’ve turned the corner, Ted.
Sophie says my eyes are getting really black and blueI can’t see that from my perspective.
Yup, understand about the meds. The ointment seems to facilitate the weeping and blur my vision when first applied. I will continue the acetaminophen for a few days but cut back on the Tramadol to bedtime only tomorrow. I always reduce the opioids early. I already feel the type of pain changing.
Really doubtful I’ll make 2 weeks of no bending, 20lb lift limit, but will be good until my followup appointment Tue and ask the doc. I think this may be a good time to shift attention to taxes.
I hate the crud. Glad your wifey made you good food.Well, the 'feeling better' idea was short lived. The grocery list was short and I was back home within an hour..... feeling like crud again. Coughing back, but the rest of the day was spent just trying to find any bits of energy. And that was with 2 naps.... I need to shake loose of this....
Don't get me going....still haven't rec'd my tax return. Must be 1/87000 decided to recheck ours.Work is until mid-April, when Uncle has deemed he must be fed or else. . . Luckily we are not billionaires or waitresses, right? Otherwize the 87000 new Infernal Revenue agents might be after us. . .
Hope the leg gets better day by day. My cousin had major wear on his legs/knees after marathon running. Did not end so well, lifelong pain and agony.38 going to 50. Winter is sneaking back in.
Kilroy and Kyle, I get those sneezing attacks, too. But haven't come close to your record, Kilroy...I'm think mine is 16...but you keep the record!
RNG, sorry the deal didn't work...but I just can't see you wedged into close neighbors like that after having your big spread on the hilltop. But there are advantages.
LS, sorry the crud rebounded. No fun.
Cut a load of firewood, stacked some small limbs and the big stuff is waiting for me at the splitter. Packed up everything last night for an early departure for a long mountain hike today, but just before bed decided that I'm not sure my leg is good to go. So I'll give it a test today on a local trail, and look to next week after the rain.
Girls would be my guess. LOL.My oldest son played hockey and I endured many of those early games. Funny thing, once he was able to drive himself to the games, he stopped playing……
Peter principle....our gov't....too often.Good morning, 32 going to 42 today colder.
Yesterday daughter and Zion had a good visit with us. She was driving her car for the first time since hip replacement surgery and it went well. She is still lamenting about her approval for going to the next payroll grade level is not being implemented by HR due to incompetent person slacking off. Amazing how government allows this kind of thing to go on.
The next few months she has several trips on the books to France, Balkans, Estonia, Sweden and Czechoslovakia.
Had some pain in the jaw area like TMJ and wanted get a bite wing to give it some rest but seems to have improved.
Dinner last night was great the way the chicken was prepared on the cast iron pan.
The iMac is still not logging in so will return that today for help. It keeps locking me out for increasing time durations. The MacBook Pro works great though
BTDT. Prayers sent..Good Morning.
Struggles continue as I negotiage the separation steps and divorce (i say that because she is not negotiating). Anyway, Trusting God, Waiting On The Lord, Praying my way through this mess. I will check-in when I can. Prayers appreciated. Happy Sunday.
I see the good in it, but as a comparison, some forms of gov't should be good too, but alas, greedy humans are involved....What if you find a life ending illness that you would've preferred not to know? What if you find out one and can treat it? What if it's untreatable, and the insurance thinks you are not worth saving?...."I’m more concerned the government seems to have access to the data."
You don't have to worry about privacy if you are innocent... But who is completely innocent these days.
Chris
Glad they have the suspect in custody. Didn't one of the girls turn down his advances?Genetic databases is one of the tools used to identify the Idaho collage students killer.
Oh it's fine, there's lot's for them to 'pick at'... the 'poor "starving ponies"' is just a joke as horses are always hungry.Randy(wag) how is the grass in Paddock #6?
It might 'reach' but the best angle of attack is at least 45degrees... anything more vertical and the limb will split, pinching, and potentially twisting, the blade.Pole saw for Mom's trees came in today, looks and feels good. too bad the next few days high winds and rain are predicted.
The pole reaches to the street light, 25'

70 people at the whole food plant based meeting today, we are really growing. We made the cover of the local magazine and a lot of the people who saw the article came out for heart month.
. . . When all to many of them start demanding the very same things that made where they came from an unlivable mess. . .BT. No wonder so many are moving here. I guess it will happen here too, when

Superbowl was a great close game. Both teams are great. Crazy last 2 minute ending. Not scoring a TD on purpose, to help run out the clock and what if the kicker missed the FG?
Clarkson Farms 2. Finished watching it. How frustrating. Sure made me feel good I don't live under an overbearing heavy handed gov't. I used to get frustrated for Eric when he shared some woes. Kind of like California telling you how much dirt you can move on your property from one place to another. No wonder so many are moving here. I guess it will happen here too, when overpopulation occurs.
My hypertension is under control with the smaller dose of medicine. My job is very busy, and I stress a little bit about getting things done, but no boss has even come close to raising their voice, and they all say they are glad I'm on the team. I do try to cut out sodium, when there are options to do so.
TxDon, not sure if you'd be interested, but Altman Farms have been having floral plants on sale for really cheap prices. I got a nice sized pot of calla lilies, that normally go for $26 in the big box store, for $5.
Popgadget, great job on the divider. Whatcha gonna do with it? Make us some gears! (Spiral Hypoid Bevel...I marvel at the machines that make those).
Prayers for our team, the sick, our country, and Ukraine.
Did anyone read that the State Department has warned All Americans to leave Russia? More prayers. They are saying Russia is going to ramp up the war, and they are arresting Americans and holding them on false charges.
