Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

Wally World excursion successful. The only thing that we could not get this trip was Woolite, of all things. . .

Mexican restaurant for dinner. New menus, new prices. But the portion sizes and quality didn’t change, so there’s that.

Found the original Top Gear for free on Tubi and binged several episodes, including James May’s initial appearance in Season 2 E1.

All in all, a reasonably quiet rainy Sunday.

I did find some motivation, not quite all of it, but some remnants......

Opened the shop to let the sun in, then decided that the landscaping could use a little drink. The drip is frozen, so spent the last 2 hours watering by hand with the hose. Inside now getting warmed up and having another half cup of coffee.

Max was outside with me, he took part in doing some zoomies around the courtyard. Of course, he had to find some muddy areas to run through. Cleaned up his paws and let him back in before we both got in trouble.....

The breezes kicked up a bid, so feels much colder out in the open. Trimming the trees might wait until tomorrow. The edge tamers just need a few more welds, so that might fill in the rest of the agenda for today.

Daughter informed us that we are going to be grandparents again! She had an ultrasound yesterday, all looks good. It's a girl! This makes number 4 for her.

Today is day job followed by who knows what since I haven't been keeping up with projects so plenty on the agenda to be done.

Goodmorning. 32.5 degrees here. Winter Storm Warning for the next couple days. Ice is the issue. Was 70 degrees yesterday, so quite a change. Luckily got some hay out for the cattle yesterday, so don't have to go out this morning.

Last week they showed snow for this week, now it’s gone from the forecast. Will get cold at end of week.
Plan to work on installing a couple new cameras at the church building today, if I don’t forget my tools this time.

Good morning! News for the day as Spike56 mentioned, like the big boys up North, we are under a Winter Storm Warning for the next 2 days! 30˚ North, winds, cloudy. The chance of freezing rain and snow is high. In Texas that means hunkering down.

A big batch of Butter (lima) bean soup is in the InstantPot.

Edit: Getting colder. 29˚F only getting to 33˚ today.

34F overcast. I didn't see the sunrise. Sometimes the clouds make for a really pretty one.

Mighty quiet this morning. We are empty nesters again. Our daughter who has been visiting us had her ACL repaired. Took a long time for her to get moving around well. She took off yesterday with a car packed with stuff for the apartment. Her husband's visa finally come through. He was supposed to start his new job the end of October. Better late than never. He got in last week. Been sleeping on a camp pad. We sure enjoyed her visit.

Thanks for all the birthday wished posted yesterday. To say my birthday this year was unusual would be an understatement. Our elder daughter's birthday was just a few days ago and the younger daughter's birthday will be in a couple of weeks. And my wife's birthday was a month ago today. So I guess you could say we had sort of a joint birthday party/dinner planned at the Olive Garden rather late yesterday, a favorite of the whole family.

And what was that saying about the best laid plans of mice and men? First, the weather started changing and getting cooler. Then one daughter called and had such a cold (hope that's all) that you could barely understand her on the phone, and didn't think she could go out to eat. The other daughter called to see if we should move the time up. Anyway, we finally decided to postpone getting together until another date and time. It was getting colder and windier when I made a fast trip to grocery store.

So this morning it's only 25° and not supposed to get above freezing today with a slight possibility or rain or snow, but the NWS shows a 100% chance of snow tomorrow.

So . . . we're well stocked on groceries and have no plans to get out the rest of this week.
