Pretty destructive afternoon. Took a perfectly decent 6 ft length of 3x3 aluminum angle and hacked it into 24 small pieces riddled with holes.

These will be the feet for my PV panel racking.

This morning was a totally different story, almost $3k at Home Depot toward the Cottage remodel. Glad I’m not doing the work.

Good evening all. 44ºF for the start, overcast, light breeze. Moderate wind, rain, clearing in afternoon, and high temp was 60ºF. Bike ride to start the day, 54 miles, near intended end of ride, stopped ans only unclipped one pedal, moved to better stay out of traffic and fell over :( Broke derailluer hanger, and twisted brake lever. Raspberry on right knew and pride only personal injuries. Got ride home, Volagi down until I can locate new hanger. Peugeot will be in use for a week or two. Hey Ted, thanks.
I actually added 3 batteries a couple weeks ago as a hedge for future. Surprisingly my current panels have kept up nicely, but we have had unusually clear weather for this time of year. I suspect the panels will be more appreciated. What will be also greatly appreciated is the additional 240sf of additional covered space my new solar array provides.

Almost forgot 2 items
My last living Uncle has his 90th Birthday today. Korean War Veteran. One of his jobs while he was in the service was training new recruits to drive Duce & a Halves. Me and my neighbor are bringing him to my place so he can train us on neighbors Duce & a Half. Plus ride with us in Memorial Day parade.

Today is also National Squirrel Appreciation Day. I want to thank all the Squirrels that took time to pose for my photos. 🥴

Deuce and a half was my assigned vehicle when I was an air traffic controller in Germany in the 80’s. Never drove it that much, but I sure spent many many hours in the motor pool pulling PM. Bet this will be a great memory for him.

29 and warming to 41 so we get rain instead of snow or ice. But looks like the mountains might take another ice storm hit.

Scaredy, sounds like you had a great visit. Nothing like holding a baby to lift the spirits.

Kyle, hope your eye/eyelid is doing better.

Mostly, sorry about your fall. Hope it doesn't interrupt your riding.

Ron, never knew there was a "squirrel day" but it seems like there is a month or day for about everything. Who decides?

My wife thinks she lost her credit card at the Costco gas pump last evening. I went on the bank's website and they have a nice one-click feature to "lock" your card until you are sure it has been lost/stolen and need a replacement. If you find it, you can unlock it and continue to use it. We'll do one more search in the daylight of her SUV, etc.

I had a nice day with my chainsaw and tractor. Sawed a collection of small dead trees including red oak, white oak, dogwood, sweetgum and aspen. Also did some trail work. About 2/3 of the rounds need splitting, so will have something waiting for me while waiting for today's rain to dry out.

First cup of coffee is done brewing. 28° with snow this morning Heading to 33° with more snow in afternoon. Total accumulation of 1". Got nightstand assembled and put in place. Sassy was a great help. She decided to take a nap on couch. 33 pages of instruction on 8.5X11 pages. No magnifying needed. No screws or other parts missing. Everything fit perfect. Took about 2.5 hours for me to assemble. $79 of 45 lbs of compressed wood. Been a long time since I put something together that did not have some kind of problem.
Did not get a full night of sleep last night. Going to be a conserve energy day.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.
