Sorry if this has been mentioned before; I'm way behind again and trying to catch up.

I've been using the Battery Saver model 2365 for some time now, with good results. JBTools.com has had them at the best price I can find. I leave them attached continuously, and they keep the battery charged without over charging them. They also have a "de-sulfation" mode that they say can resurrect a sulfated battery, but i've had mixed results with that. One of them got wet and quit working, and the manufacturer replaced it without question.

I have used the Battery Saver Maintainers for years. My JD F735 battery is 19 years old. Now a days I only have 4 chargers in use. JD, Kubota, Mule and whole house generator. Had same charger on my 48 volt golf cart. Batteries lasted a long time.
JBtools list them as out of stock.

Morning all;
It's another gray soggy dreary day the 4th of Jan and 36F and foggy this morning.
It's a mucky muddy sloppy mess outside and about, sinking down 8"s in the mud and manure on the feed lot fields,
yards and driveways a nice muddy mess. While I like the temperature I sure don't like the mud.
Standing at the kitchen window this morning as the sun was trying to poke through the fog had a flock of turkeys crossing the lawn.

As far as cordless tools the majority of mine are Milwaukee M18's, plus a bit of Harbor Freights Bauer 20Volt, and now one of there 80Volt Atlas chainsaws. Haven't used it much but it did a good job on some 6-8" dead and dry apple the other day and some dead Elm.

Everyone stay safe and healthy, or get well.

have been having fun with a new addition to my pc, a Klipsch subwoofer added to my speakers.
Fun listening to really low bass. Watched some old youtube videos of EMD train engines thumping along
can't listen for very long til it gives me a headache but sure adds more dimension
I googled audiophile low bass test and a lot of fun things come up.
My amplified Klipsch speakers are clean down to I guess around 50hz, then the sub take over.
There are adjustments to fiddle with, and definitely distance to wall affects sound.
complete overkill for this little office but not expensive and despite bad ears, a fun hobby.

next thing to try is some pipe organ music.

Ken, trade up to a set of these. Current high end darlings, sold out everywhere.
glad you got good service from them.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 12C and it's presently 18.9C, overcast with a slight breeze. There was 0.3mm in the gauge at 0900.

Yesterday I went through my closets looking for unused items that could go to the "Tip Shop" (which is a shed at the Tip where they can sell items that have value, instead of throwing them out. The $s go to the local hospital aux.) and during my search I found, no less than, FIVE motorcycle jackets! All different but all blue... I sold my 400cc maxi-scooter 7 years ago. :)

The run-into-town yesterday was successful however it turns out that today was the planned major grocery shopping expedition, so we'll get onto that later.

Still a few 'projects' to get to whilst I have other people around so we won't be bored.

That's about it, take care all.
You should keep one good protective jacket. Just in case, you know? The world may go Mad Max, you may have to wash a cat. . . Protective gear is important!

I almost build replica Klipschorns once, until I was advised that they would probably cause the keys on the wood lath in our old (1800’s) youse to break and cause the plaster to separate. . . I had a pair of University 416’s, a pair of Altec 800-series horns, an ST70 amp all ready to go, as well as a pair of original Klipsch crossovers all ready to go too. . . Oh well. . .

Buckeye, remember Roy tried retirement for awhile. Didn't work for him. He went back to work. More organized day plans. Be careful working at mail box. A long time family friend died when a car hit him while at his mailbox just before Christmas.
Good Morning All.

I had forgotten that about Roy. Was thinking about him yesterday.

Very dangerous at my mail box. It’s across the road next to a bank, no place to go if a car comes but to try to climb the bank, which I have done recently.

Goooood Morning,
Presently 63F, very windy last night and we had an overnight low? of 68, with cloudy skies. Forecast high of 64 with rain this afternoon.

Yesterday ended up being an energy conservation day. After the dog had breakfast and her morning walk she did an imitation of BEF's cat and fell asleep on my lap. Guess there is no rush to get the day started.

After I had my breakfast, dog and I went for an extended walk and saw our neighbors out in their yard. We had only waved when they drove by, so I stoped in and we chatted for almost an hour. Good to meet more of our neighbors.

Went to the bank and ran a few other errands. Stopped by the local boat dealer to see if they had something more appropriate for the shallow creeks around here. Didn't see much I liked and they didn't seem very interested in showing me a boat, so I crossed them off my list of possibilities.
When I headed out to do my errands I noticed that gas was $2.999 a gal for reg, when I returned a few hours later it was $3.199!! Wish I had stopped on my way out.

Decided the cut up tree could sit there a while longer to dry out and rounds not be so heavy to move around.

Liz is back in NC so no honey do list, suspect today will be another quiet day, especially if we get the wind and rain that is in the forecast.

Good morning all, 53 already going to high of 61 and no rain

Slept in more than I normally do. Feels good

Going for a dentist appointment this morning

found a small company to do our mini split installation and will set up an appointment

The first battery tools I had date back to the 1980's. Makita drills and a small Makita saw. Used stick batteries in the handles

Loudspeaker designs have changed dramatically with the availability of inexpensive, almost unlimited power amplifiers.
Where you once had designs like the Klipsch and Altecs leveraging every available watt into acoustic energy, they required trade offs that just aren’t practical now.
As far as low bass goes, speaker placement and the room itself becomes very important in making it coherent rather than just noise. Many times a high pass filter is employed just to clean up the mud.
