Sawzalls are changing to battery operated but I still like my old ones.
I’ve had the Makita 18v cordless for many years, the corded ones haven’t come off the shelf since I got it.

We have 2 junk drawers in the kitchen. They are catch alls.My wife never yelled at me. But I am sure she had her ways of making me do it her way. Even today i do not have clutter that you will see when you enter my house, garage, shop or to barns. Just do not look in the 3 drawers in built in cabinets in dinning room. Almost to the point where I cannot find what is stashed in them. I have put it on the to do list today. Not much comes in paper work to me. I am almost totally digital. I do have the receipts from this year in a small basket. Will put those in a ziplock bag with this years date on it. Will put it in a file cabinet drawer. While there I will take out the ziplock from 2016 and burn it. My wife started this. Still works today.
Happy Belated birthday Wagtail!Good (Saturday) early arvo. Overnight Low of 15C and it's presently 25.6C, mostly overcast, calm and there was 13mm in the gauge at 0900.
Well, I wasn't going to mention it but today is one of those momentous days in my life that I thought I'd share it with my TBN Mates. Today (31st, NYE) is my 65th birthday and I'm surrounded by family & friends for the occasion... however, yesterday was my last day in the Royal Australian Navy (Reserve). All told, that's a bit over 47 years (Regular/Reserve) of Service.
Anyway, nothing is planned for today (glorious weather) apart from a restaurant dinner tonight and attempting to 'stay up' for midnight and the annual, worldwide, firework displays that mark the end of my BD.
That's about it, take care all and have a happy New Year.
Happy belated birthday to your wifey Margaret! Hope y'all had a great party.50° this morning at 3 a.m. but going for a high of a sunny 70° today. And today is Margaret's 79th birthday. Our kids and grandkids are all supposed to be here this evening for a pizza/new year's/graduation/birthday party.LOL Granddaughter just finished high school. Things are different in this day and age. We used to all graduate or end school year at the same time at the beginning of summer. Now it seems the kids finish at different times.
Yep, everything's different now-a-days. Way back in ancient times before I retired from law enforcement we used to have a neighborhood New Year and Birthday party with 5 neighbors at our house every year. We had some wonderful and fun filled (and sometimes hilarious) times. I'll never forget the night it was so cold and icy that the sidewalks were iced over and a little after midnight when everyone was leaving to go home, the lady who lived 2 doors south of us said she wasn't taking any chances of falling on the ice, so she just got down on her hands and knees and went across the yard next door to her house (second house south of us). And no, she had not been drinking.
Incidentally . . . that lady is the last of our old neighbors still living in that same house. She celebrated her 94th birthday last week.
