Very rough day.

Ahh, retirement can be a challenge

Lightning (cloud to ground - close too), 31 degrees, heavy rain, hail/sleet. Lovely January Iowa weather... Nowhere for the rain to go, with this frozen ground. Expecting transition to snow tonight, about an inch "they" say. I think I'll do laundry and figure out the new Oregon sawchain sharpener. Dog just reminded me that he does NOT like thunder...

We have that problem with Kekoa. Meletonin helps, if given in time. He won’t take anything after it starts. Sometimes, but not always, his Thunderjacket helps. He always comes and lays next to me, but I feel pretty helpless.

The power wire going across the driveway is cut at the building and also on the west side. That'll be it until spring when I get the backhoe back on.
Now on to bigger and better things, like conserving energy.

33F light rain did have some icing late morning.

Work day was blur got more accomplished than I plan.

Watch several turkeys play tug of war with bungee cord,not sure where they got the bungee cord...hmmm.

Errands all done, everything that needed to be accomplished was successful. Never got up to the predicted high temp.... only reached 33°. Currently only 27°. Snow squalls off and on all day. Snow, then 1/2 hour of sun, then another shower. Maybe another half inch.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 12C and it's presently 18.9C, overcast with a slight breeze. There was 0.3mm in the gauge at 0900.

Yesterday I went through my closets looking for unused items that could go to the "Tip Shop" (which is a shed at the Tip where they can sell items that have value, instead of throwing them out. The $s go to the local hospital aux.) and during my search I found, no less than, FIVE motorcycle jackets! All different but all blue... I sold my 400cc maxi-scooter 7 years ago.

The run-into-town yesterday was successful however it turns out that today was the planned major grocery shopping expedition, so we'll get onto that later.

Still a few 'projects' to get to whilst I have other people around so we won't be bored.
