Coffee is brewing. 27° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 37° with sun shine in afternoon. Stuck to my conserve energy plan yesterday. Off to see finance guy this morning. Then a trip with neighbor to Williams Gunsight in Davison, MI. I want to get a replacement sight for my Remington 510-P. That should fill the day in.

Light rain overnight added 1/3 inch to the annual accumulation. We are on track for a good year if this keeps up. We are half way to a decent total rainfall with the heavy rainfall part of the season yet to come. Local dryland wheat farmers put seed in last week. I just want the water table maintained. More rain predicted for next Saturday. Fingers crossed.

Daugen - That kind of money for a train is way out of line .. Take a look at PopG"s airline, his service would be alot better than the train.

Service might be better, travel time would be a lot less, but it would be many times more expensive.Besides, the reason Drew was looking at the train was his fear of flying.

I hiked a section of the Virginia AT north of I-66. Was surprised how much of the trail was covered in ice flows. Micro spikes saved the day.

Grounds like permafrost, squishy on top, hard as concrete just below the squish.

Need to take the blankets off some of the horses.

Will be hovering around wife today, would like to get out into the back woods with the chainsaw. Unfortunate the chain saw buddy is confined to the house for a few more days. I don't venture into the woods with equipment without her.

The V11 wasn't available when we got our V10 a few years ago...we rarely ever run out of juice unless we are running it on high for a while...seems like our big door mat is so grabby that it needs high speed to get it all the way clean...that's about the only time we use high speed. But if buying now, I'd get the V11, too.

The review I watched said same battery life and pretty much same performance. The V10 is in store.

Good Morning!!!! 43F @ 4:30AM. Partly cloudy. High 51F. Winds light and variable.
Now we're under a Dense Fog Advisory until 11AM. Checking the traffic cams, though, it doesn't look too bad headed south.

Pretty much ready to go, but need to get a tarp or two installed to cover some material that was formerly under the porch cover.

If I can make it up the driveway, it'll be all downhill from there.

Good morning, low temp 22 and the high should be around 30°F. Wind SSE 9 mph. Periods of snow mixed with ice pellets. I've got enough snow to plow now...6", I plow at 4" but only in daylight. Turned the block heater on at 7 when I got up.

Longish range calls for 45 on Friday and 41 for the following Tuesday.
My tire chains need some attention so IF they stay put I will do it on Friday. Tomorrow I will go to North Bay.

check, that is the same thing that happened to me in October after I came back from Thunder Bay. Felt crappy for a couple of days, then my taste buds went for a dump. That co$t me a whole turkey at Thanksgiving. Junior is only good for breast meat and I am a leg and thigh man. 6 bites of the drumstick and I was done with it. He had the breast and the rest went to feed the bears at the dump. It took me about a month to get over it and another 2-3 weeks to get my energy back. Good thing we had a warmish fall or I would have had to force myself to go out and plow.

RNG, hope the insurance company doesn't try to weasel out of your claim.

rip, there is always tomorrow. Wife comes first.

RNG, Hope I am not speaking out of turn but that doesn't seem as well built as it could have been. Hope the new work will be a little better. I fear the bill is going to be a breathtaker.
