Good morning!!!!

Lou so sorry for the news of your brother.

Outside it has warmed to 20˚ with full sun.

Inside the temperature has fallen to 66˚ The heater stopped working. This is a natural gas heater electricity is fine. When my neighbor called, the one with the blown over garbage cans and natural gas generator, to report her heater was not working it confirmed my suspicion that because of heavy use the gas pressure has gone down and furnaces have turned off. The gas stovetop only had about half flame. A call to the gas company on their emergency line was just a 30 minute hold and they never answered.

Glad it is just a pressure problem.

Turned the house heater back on after the hot water heater shut down and the furnace heat came back on. Already up to 67˚.

I do have a couple of electric space heaters so all is good. Neighbor with the generator does not have any electric space heaters but I was able to walk her through the sequence to get her furnace to come back on. I think she now sees a weak link in her emergency heating strategy - low natural gas pressure, and the need to back up natural gas with electric heaters.

Since my last post we've gotten 1/2", not worth the electric (block heater) nor the fuel to plow that. So total since last plowing 2".
Wunderground is still saying that we will have 12" by 25 December at 1 A.M. 30 and headed to 34°F. Wind ENE 15 gusting to 25 mph.
Last winter whenever Environment Canada forecasted 10 cm we got 10". Maybe this year they can get it closer to their truth.

You guys that are getting the really crappy stuff, stay safe and try to stay warm.
Wow, L4N, we got maybe 4” over night, and another 18” or so coming. Surprised that you are getting so little given how close we are.

Great chance to finally use the snowblower! But the roads are so bad that they are not recommending any driving up from Toronto, so we may not see our daughter and her boyfriend for Christmas.😢

They are calling it a major winter storm, and apparently the biggest danger is happening right now, the rain in Toronto flash freezes and makes all the roads are really icy. up here we don’t have that problem, as it has stayed cold enough.

65°F and no rain.

A good long day on the tractor yesterday. All my flail mowing caught up for this round.

Have a couple of small project in need of a shopping list before heading for town. Need to replenish diesel as well.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

My ambient weather display was showing 6°, just discovered it was in wind chill mode. It’s 21° right now. Was wondering because my phone app was showing 21°. 46° was the high.
Had to rescue the light up snowman from the bushes, the 2 bricks holding it was no match for the wind.
Sun is out now. We got total 1.6” of rain.

Been working on a program that will open a stream from one of my cameras, and do face recognition. That part works, but I only want to record when a person is detected, that part still getting a corrupt file.

Temperature continues to fall now at 17.

Lou, sorry to hear about you brother

Popg, the puppy looks relaxed and content. Now to learn sit, come etc will take some effort. Cody was stubborn but he eventually got it.

Don, did a study long time ago for Texas Utility where they were worried about cold weather causing a shortage of NG. Sounds like it is still an issue

L4N, the fluid film was left over in a gallon can but it was old and too thick to spray so brushed it on. Hopefully it works

Van was delivered and driver headed back home in the car he had left at our house. Nice not having to make the 60 mile drive to Mechanicsburg

Ron, the picture of the squirrel was great. Your pictures are always in focus and very sharp
