My first road bikes were 50 cc two stroke mopeds that did not require license to drive and younger kids could legally drive. The law did not allow modifications to make it run faster but that did not stop many from boring out the carb and intake in the cylinder and they could run pretty fast and keep up with cars. Police would stop many and take the carb off to check for modifications and give a hefty fine. Luckily I escaped any fines

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 8:00AM.
Thundershowers this afternoon following a period of morning rain. High 54F. Winds SSE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 70%.
Picked up another quarter inch of rain yesterday, mainly in the morning.
Just now started raining again.

It stopped raining long enough yesterday afternoon to get the firewood pallet swapped out in the garage. In the process, I had to move three motorcycles and the van. The bikes were easy to push, the van started reluctantly and kept quitting. I checked the EMU for codes, and now it's complaining about the MAF as well as the idle control valve. Always something.

My friend down in SoCal said they found a leak in the water line coming in from the street, and now the yard is all dug up. Looks like the plumber is gonna get all their Christmas money this year. It didn't help that it was a found on a Sunday.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a good start!

Codes are no fun. I have had a few to deal with but most were easy fixes. Changing glow plugs is a risk for breaking it so I leave that to the dealer that has special tools if one breaks. Used to be that glow plugs were solid and strong but the new ones are very fragile and any resistance can break it. The diesel injectors are also something I would rather not deal with since they can get stuck in the cylinder head although some would loosen the bolts and drive it until it pops. Some issues I leave alone like the fired heater to warm up in the morning does not work any more and the rear heater has a control valve not controlling. The parking alerts is funky. But what do you expect from a 2008 van?

46F and sunny @ 13:00, heading up to a high of 50F ... Woo-hoo !!!

Ten Day looking reasonably decent, highs mostly in 40's/50's.

Got van started yesterday and let it run for a good while to charge up the battery.

Woman commented that "while you have your boots on ..." I should go ahead and fill up the bird feeder ... so filled the hopper feeder as well as 2 suet feeders with the new suet.

Amazon dropped off new electric can opener, now Woman will be able to open cans again without having to ask me to do it.

Somebody also dropped off another package that was for someone who lives at a different address but that mapping mistakenly says is here. Not.

Got Menards order placed but did not make it out to pick it up, today seemed like the better option considering the warmer temps.

Inadvertently missed the fact that one item got added twice to the shopping cart ... so will need to have them keep that item and issue a credit when we pick it up later.

Did manage to get cleaned up and drag the razor across my face.

Woman made custard and went over to neighbor friends for dinner.

I stayed home and got some addition work/clean up done down in the fish room, also got another 9 gallons of water drawn.

Eventually heated up the last of the lamb vindaloo and broiled a piece of cod for dinner.

Forgot to trim off a little piece of cod before I cooked it to feed to the fish ... :(

Agenda for today:

Dole out meds for this coming week.

Handle some online banking.

Get 2 x 4's moved inside pole barn plus bring some over to the basement for building the wall in the utility room once I figure how many are needed, also move chop saw downstairs.

Trip to Menards to pick up order plus pick up some additional items. Will need to unload 4 sheets of drywall and get that moved downstairs as well.

Maybe swing by a Wally World and exchange that bad led tube.

Plus undone stuff previously on agenda (drain sediment from water heater, sanding mud, dahlias, etc.)

Hope everyone has a good Monday ... (y)

You need to keep a supply of basketballs on hand to let the air out of.
Bill Crosby, why is there air
I thought the air was let out of Footballs
That is a great Bill Cosby album (have it on vinyl, never listen to it now) - what a mess he's made since though, terrible impact on others.
