66°F and .01 inches rain

Today looking to be perhaps boring compared to yesterday. Need to investigate significant loss of water pressure. Either a change of my filters, which aren’t that old or pump is starting to fail. Filters much cheaper but pumps don’t last forever either.

Zoom Happy Hour this afternoon

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good morning to all! Low of 19°, currently only 30°, lightly snowing. High only forecasted for 40° today. Wind kicked up a bit for a couple hours last night, presumably as the cold front approached. Only about a 1/2" of snow here.... the higher peaks got 3-4".

Mostly, NO!!! I don't want those gazillion seeds to germinate..... they are all in the area that's supposed to be walkway and open beds. I took most of the marigold plants / flowers / seeds out to the fields.

Drew, have a nice time planting the mums. Planted ours about a month ago to help them get established before the deep cold.

Ken, say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your wife. Hope she gets better soon!

David, great job getting the tractor out! You definitely have the right philosophy--- slow, steady, and safe!

Today's agenda is to go into town later and get our eye glasses ordered. Hopefully won't take too long. I don't think we need anything else, but you know Costco will have something that I didn't know we needed.

Hope everyone has a great start to the week!

Blew out the hoses yesterday

Thanks for reminding me. We have returned to normal weather for November which means freezing at night. I also screwed the ends together to keep spiders etc. from taking up residence.

Partially my fault
With tractor nose down the front wheels were pointed extreme right.
My next to last lift we pulled and tire caught on a rock, breaking seal. No apparent damage. If we had been able to get someone to ride the tractor and attempt to straighten steering might have avoided. Of course I didn’t suspect there was a rock, just mud wall. My bad.

Isn't that EMT galvanized and thin? Brazing might be best after some cleaning with a wire wheel or such.

Yes on both counts, but I did it with the MIG, did nothing with the galvanizing, as it’s a very thin electro coat.
Worked out fine, and fast.

Thanks Frits
Often times, it takes stepping back and pondering the less obvious approach. The benefit of having been there, failed, and finally succeed over the years

The dead buck mystery continues. It looks like it was healthy, and then not.

I went down to mark it so the DOT people could find it easier or to move it if I had to.

Well, it seems the deer levitated about 40' into the woods (with nearby tire tracks) sometime between 7am and 12:30.

Now, even if I wanted to drag it out, the mess would be pretty bad.
Not sure why they did this unless to hide it?
