Got the rest of the grass mowed. Also, found the cover cap from the right front swivel on the zeroturn that I lost last week. Was hoping I'd see it before running it over, and found it laying under the blueberry bush.

Checked the game cam later, and in addition to finding several pics of a coyote that has made a couple of trips back and forth between the camera and the coop a regular thing every night between 01:00 & 01:30, I found a pic of the aforementioned loose cap from just a couple of minutes before I apparently knocked it off under the bush.

That's one seriously relaxed kitty, BEF.

Still 95 outside waiting for it to cool off before I start to mow.

Kyle, those date trees are 2 years old.

Too much okra, I’ve turned my garden into a pick all you want for other gardeners.

OK, shop all put back in order, area is all set to go for the pellet arrival. Put a few more things away in new homes (pressure washer, propane burner, and some 5 gal paint cans). I have been moving those darn paint buckets around the shop for close to 2 years..... now they have a spot out of the way!

Wifey took 2 loaves of bread out of the freezer, opened them up, and saw mold on the top. Separating the slices revealed mold inside! We always buy the fresh and freeze immediately, so not because it was left out....
These were expensive loaves at $4 each.... they will be going back to the store tomorrow! 🤬😤

New truck might be off the board for the time being..... a different dealer emailed me and said that Toyota is only sending out "allocations" and that dealers don't have any opportunity to choose what is being sent to them. I will have to call the dealer that I've been working with to present this info and see what he has to say......
I think he was just being hopeful that the supply issues are going to end soon.... I will ask specific questions about this for sure!

The high today was as expected-- only 83° and a nice breeze. Nice weather.

Time to go put the tractor away before I forget..... then a nice soothing hot shower is in order.

Our local Chevy dealer in town is advertising their "Truck Month." I drove by there this morning, and they had maybe three or four new Chevys, and about a quarter of their lot is full of Fords and Rams, and the odd Toyota. The rest of the place is still empty.

The Ford dealer in Highland was recently taken over by a larger dealership from another town, who has been running local radio ads asking people to come and see their huge inventory. Anytime I drive by there, they have about five or six cars parked in front of the building (not all Fords), and the rest of the lot is empty.

I don't know how these guys are surviving.

The Mazda dealer where I took a test drive said they presale cars before they arrive, and they have a long list of people waiting. He said they are selling more cars now than they have ever sold. If there’s a car on the lots, it’s already claimed.

LS, we buy and freeze bread, sorry yours had mold.

Maybe I already said this, remoted into church computer last night, and there was Firefox window open with someone logged into a gmail account. No one we know.
Someone hacked in.
Gmail account created 2 months ago, Emails were regard TurboTax online, and efile rejections from the IRS.
Changed all the passwords on computers & router.

Looking at event log, our server is getting hammered with RDP login attempts. Like 5-6 per second. The log was full of just today’s attempts. The only valid logins today were me.
Some bot is active against us. Will probably disable it for awhile.

The attack on our computers is increasing and we are somewhat limited as to what we can do to protect ourselves. Hopefully you can get it straight BEF

Good Morning chilly 60 going to 82 today. Watching Clarkson's farm on Amazon he had the right idea on his choice for a tractor. A gigantic Lamborghini tractor with controls and handles to operate that rival a NASA rocket. At least my choice for equipment now seems reasonable
loved that show :)

I love cats, but don't currently have any as wife has allergies to the dander. I'd love to get an outside barn cat that is a good mouser. We had such a cat several years ago. "Fireball" was a stray that my daughter found - very affectionate, and premium mouser, then would sleep a lot.

I love dogs

I love chickens

basically, I love animals

however, I'm not permitted to name any animals anymore :(

Feeling better, but still have the chills...just not as severe
Doctor's appointment this morning...podiatrist to work on what might be an infected toe

59 going to 88.

BEF, congrats on the land. Looks real nice.

PJ, interesting story about the road closure for the snakes...pretty good deal, unless you live on the side of the roads where they are headed. We have a road here that closes when the salamanders migrate. Sorry about your wife's allergy...I had to start taking generic claritin.

Kyle, glad the Beast is earning its keep...good job on the flap.

Ken, I'm with you on the stiltgrass...unbelievable how it has spread.

Scaredy, we name all the wild animals that come around here, even the skunks.

Mostly, never had cream of wheat. I'll wait to come your place when you're making pancakes. 😁

Roy, did you test negative on the most recent test? Hope you get well soon.

My mom is finally back home, yesterday. My wife is there caring for her, said she climbed the steps to the 2nd floor with no trouble, but was plum worn out at the top.

I've been busy planting clover, oats, winter peas, etc. Need rain. I also hiked a personal best for distance, since I was young...on one dry slope it looked like Autumn already. The trail was loaded with wild blueberry bushes...know where to go next year, earlier in season.

Congratulations on age reversal! Cooler weather usually helps some. Is there any way you can move your Mom's bedroom down stairs?

BEF, I lost track. Which place has your offer been accepted?

Good morning! 69˚F heading to the mid 90s, hopefully not as bad as the 98˚ high of yesterday. Mowed the front at sunset yesterday will mow the back when the dew evaporates this morning. This will be a busy week, my tractor hours have been increased 33%. I suspect attendance will continue to be low with the continued heat that Buppies has predicted for us for the rest of the month. Headlines: "Temps top 100˚ to start Fall".

Going up to 86 and partly sunny.
Day job on the schedule, who knows what will happen after that.

BEF - glad you found a place, hope it works out great for you. Planning some new land camping trips soon?

Stiltgrass - I try to keep up with it, spray it with some stuff meant for narrow leaf weeds, that slows it down but does not kill it, and does not bother what is around it. Lots of trimming now, as once it dies it falls over, creating a thick mat. It just started going to seed, and it is everywhere along the main roads. Showed up here 3 years ago. Can't believe it grows up through thick bushes and battles with grass and other weeds. Trying to clear trails of rocks in the open areas around the trees so I can use the flail, as it's too rough for the mowers.

Roy-glad you are seeing Dr. , infections can get nasty fast, so hope this one is a quick anti-biotic treatment and done.

Wngsprd - glad your mom is home-

Good Morning
It’s 68 with a high in the low 80’s forecast today.

Yesterday was pretty much consumed with the trip to Pittsburgh for the football game. Spent a long day hanging around the airport. They did at least have a pizza buffet set up for lunch, although it would have broken the day up to go out.

When we got back to Philadelphia, a 45 minute trip, we went to Mission BBQ for dinner. It’s about the only non fast food choice close to the airport, and on the way home. It doesn’t hurt that their food is good either.

Today will be back to the shop and finish the router template I was making to put the handles in the speaker cabinet in progress.
Not sure what else I’ll get into, but I’m sure I’ll stay busy.
