Txdon, it is part of a state of Maryland tree planting program where they pay to plant and pay me a yearly amount for maintenance

Good morning to all! Low of 55°, going up to near 80°. Only slight chances for storms. Tomorrow has a 70% chance of rain / storms.

There has actually been dew in the morning.... a rare occurrence here. Humidity has been considered "high" at 50%. Even when it is raining, humidity is usually only 70-80%.

Today's agenda will be to set up the propane burner and try it out on some weeds in the driveway. Then have to make a run into town early afternoon.

Maybe get the garden tractor out to cut around the house, but need to get some gas first. I think a grocery list was formulated, so will consolidate both of those. Mowing will wait.

Mostly, yes the knee swells with ANY activity. It was one of my concerns to address, but no one can provide any answers as to why..... The closest reason was "inflammatory response to pain"..... hence why they are trying the nerve block. Medical guessing at the finest level.

Drew, good luck on the retrieval trip for the tractor.

RNG, those heads look just about done.... what temp do you cook them at?

Rich, looks like good progress on the race bike.

Need to get moving,
Hope everyone has a great day!

. Aside from the asinine politics of my state, southern Illinois is a pretty nice place to live.

Good morning, gents.

Isn’t it a shame how politics can ruin the entire state. NY state is beautiful, but I’d never live there. MD is pretty, but I want to leave. A lot of states in that predicament. Like Ron in MI. Hope he comes back on to update on things there. Miss his pictures.

Got quote of $11,400 for a 24KW generator install. But that doesn’t include propane tank or hookup, gotta get separate price for that. I would get a 10% rebate from Costco.

I can buy the unit for $6400, so $5k to install 30 ft of conduit and cable and install transfer switch beside meter. Not sure what I’ll do. Don’t have that many outages. Maybe I’ll get price on someone to just do the electric work if I get the generator.

That's why the folks in northern California want to secede...IIRC, they want to name their state Jefferson
Burlington and Montpelier have ruined Vermont...beautiful state, if we could get rid of those 2 cities

I'm actually a bit surprised upstate NY hasn't had a movement to to secede from southern NY

Buckeye, not a bad price if it includes the 400A automatic panel. My first one was 8k installed, second one 11k installed, yup
time and prices march on. Really recommend 1000 gallon tank if you have room and can hide it. 500 gal is just a shorter 1000...and the fuel never
goes bad.

successful morning. Picked up Gravely at friend's farm in Pemberton NJ and had a nice drive back. Now to change into grubby clothes and find some spray degreaser.
Old girl has several years of dirt on her. Pressure washer going to get a workout, then air blast dry, then full lube. It started right up.
I don't have kids, but if I did...this one is pretty near and dear to me. Thank goodness it never got sold because I had designated it to my friend in my will and he just got it
a little early. He mows his lawn at home with a Gravely walk behind. Probably not much longer after his hip and knees went out.

I wish I had a foamer like Paul. Well, that's what a push button can is for.
Two years of dirt. Cloth seat not happy about that. Surprised he didn't have a tarp on it even though inside a big garage.
So my old friend is going to get a fluff and puff. And lots of grease and spray oil. Probably will sharpen the blades too.
They were pretty worn before, wonder what they are like. He, and I before, used the Gravely where we wouldn't take the "nice" mower, the one with the sharp
blades on it. It wouldn't cut brush, that would have been abuse but it ground up a lot of stuff you would not want your zero turn run over.
Plus it pulled a large utility wagon and my old water wagon perfectly.
Best I can do is clean it all up and send it back to him.
Trying to get nephew interested in it for his local farm.
I need to find a good home for it.

69°F and no rain.
Big day today. Sophie gets on a plane in just a few hours and will be home late tonight.

Pretty good day yesterday. Most of it on the flail. Got one of my major outside areas mowed and looking good.

Puttering around kind of stuff today. Want everything looking nice for Sophie’s return. That judicial mix of Yea, we managed without you but just barely.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

There have been several.
I got to see Vermont go down hill and it was a shame it went from a great state to being contaminated by NYC, Ct. and Mass. first by part timers then by them moving in permanently.
My area in NY has had the same treatment as well as being saddled with NYC, Albany, and Buffalo.

Buckeye, is it a 3600 rpm or 1800 rpm generator?

Took the weed burner for an hour walk.... I have to admit, a lot easier and more effective than the string trimmer. Granted, I can only use it in the gravel and walkway areas, won't risk starting a brush fire.
I have been monitoring the propane use (just by weight of the 20 lb tank) and hasn't gotten too much lighter. I believe that it is another good tool in the arsenal.

Supposedly, the burner will also eliminate any seeds, so I will pay attention to how long it takes them to grow back. The perennial weeds might take a few 'treatments' before being eliminated, but that's ok.
When you hit them, even briefly, you can watch them literally wilt over!

I'm sure you guys know all about these.....
