Good morning!!!!

80F and partly cloudy @ 14:00, heading up to a high of around 81F.

Woman just got back from having lunch with a friend, informs me that She tried to acquire an iced Butter Pecan for me on the way back ... sadly, it looks like those are over for this year ...

Agenda for the rest of the day:

Since The Woman is hard at kitchen clean up, I will probably go up and work on cleaning up the compost/wood lot further. I have some pine logs I need to relocate and further raking to do. Also see if I can get more of the junk wood pile where the Yellowjacket nest is located moved. Plus more clean up of the large weeds that are growing in the compost and manure piles.

Probably some watering or planting later once the sun gets lower in the sky.

Produce harvesting as well.

And trash will need to be taken up to the cans at the road.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday ... (y)

Too bad RS doesn't live closer or he could come get some genuine alpaca manure for his squash.
25 loads RS, just think of the possibilities...
I wonder if we could have a contest to guess the poundage of RS's squash crop.

LOL ... (y)

only ten bucketloads of manure RS? Kinda slackin' huh?

A bit.

guess you'll have to work through dinner to catch up...

Wouldn't be the first time.

down on your hands and knees with those landscaping staples, making it all look nice.

Yeah ... I'm getting too old for much of that crap.

Better get your lanes straight or the inspecting dept will be out. Or the rearranging dept. One and the same.

No doubt ... ;)

Hi all.
Been very busy lately. Shopping yesterday while Lesley was sleeping. Groceries, scripts, Mower blades, spark plugs etc. Got a haircut. She cut too much off. Now I look like PeeWee Herman.
Today I have to remove and replace a window that a Kookaburra tried to fly through. He is OK but he left a mess of glass for me to clean up. Last time it was a Guinea Fowl. I guess that window is fated. Window is on the front porch so at least it was not one of the new ones we just installed in the house. I have a spare window out behind the barn thankfully.
Nothing else planned as Les has been suffering terrible headaches the last 4 days. Another Dr visit coming up.
My stepson returned our ride-on mower the other day. I decided to drive it over to the barn and check the battery etc. Never made it. Ran out of fuel after about 30 feet. Filled it up and checked the blades. all the blades were broken off. I had 2 spares. (it needs 4) I thought I would check it cutting some grass. It was gutless. Changed the fuel filter. Still gutless but sounded OK. It is a twin cylinder. Checked the heads. One was cold the other hot. Pulled the spark plugs and one was dead yet it still ran smooth. (Kawasaki twin) Replaced the plugs and it is going well now. I don't know how he got on mowing his lawn as it could barely move when the deck was running. Gotta have a talk to him. I had also loaned him my tow-behind lawn sweeper. He backed the trailer over it and tore it to pieces then he just left it here like that. He is going to have to fix that or else.... Luckily our new ZT mower won't fit on a trailer so he can't ask to borrow that one.

Our sweet corn a little too old, going to toss the rest of it, including all I picked the other day. Best corn crop we ever had, only plant 3 rows.

Seems slow on TBN these days. Dad mowed 2 hrs this morning and 2 more this afternoon. He waved as he went out this morning. Picture into the sun.

This is the one I have David. Works great and trouble free. You can set the high and low levels to suit.
My bore pump auto fills the house tank when the level drops.

Good late (Tuesday) morning. The overnight Low was 4.5C and it's currently 17.4C. The 'rain event' ended yesterday arvo and there was 5.7mm in the gauge @ 0900, so the entire 3 day event resulted in 58.2mm... things are drying out. :)

The rain may return Thursday arvo, but after the VN Veteran's parade.

Take care all.

Bx serviced. Guess most useful thing I learned is due to location of filters the MM deck needs be removed to do most servicing.

A bit disappointed in that this initial servicing really didn’t check anything, like for loose bolts, adjustments etc. Basically a very expensive, fluids, filter, & grease.

I did learn that should I have a warranty issue having the mechanic come out isn’t covered. Need to seriously look for a trailer.

55° right now...high in the upper 70's today.

Boy! I took a tumble late Sunday and I'm really bruised up on my right forearm and right side.

Working to prep for a customer audit this coming Friday...

good morning all
cloudy day, highs in 80's, good day to go finish my painting
Still have a blob of white paint on my hand to remind me...
I got all the scraping and sanding done yesterday, the hard part, and today will finish priming and get first coat on.
neck hurts, wearing collar, guess I just have to live with it if I don't want to start taking heavier duty pain pills.

Roy, sorry you fell. Heal quickly.

local hot tub place allegedly having an annual sale. Need to go look at their smallest hot tub, really miss having one.
Unfortunately it also means putting a new door on rear of rental house, outside stairs, a new deck, etc. Landlord not going to
pay for that.

called washer repair place on Monday. Since you and your landlord are such good customers, we can come out on Thursday.
ok. Glad I had just finished doing all my laundry.
press on button and only get a hum.
If I were kyle or buckeye or Popgadget, I'd be tearing into this thing and fix it.
actually hoping they fail the thing, it's old and worn out.

Roy hope you are on the mend is wife’s ankle better?
Yes she is, thank you...

I'm the one bruised all to hell now...still hurts to move (like getting in and out of the truck) but there's no black and blue on the skin (my abdomen and right side)...if it's not improved in another day or two, a visit to the doctor might be in order

   / Good morning!!!! #154,496
Roy you sound like a truck ran over you. Poke around and see if anything is swollen "underneath".
Might need smarter fingers than yours...
stay vertical

finally remembered to bring dash cam memory card inside to see if anything was on it. It works.
Mount needs tightening, too much bounce on bumpy roads, but with 4k setting, video is very clear.
I have a large memory card in there, one of those submini ones, and the software thankfully gives me a "next video"
arrow so I can just recreate the drive. It seems to record everything, not just accidents. That's fine, just writes over.
Forgot to see date of oldest recording.

we have a lot of seemingly entitled folks locally who think nothing of rolling through four way stops because they are in a hurry
and you peasant not driving a Mercedes, well you can just wait for me. When one of these fools on their phones runs into me failing
to yield ROW, I want a recording. Pretty sure they would not tell the truth. Then I'd get them to commit perjury and pay for their lies.
Truth, and dash cams, will set you free.
There are a couple of places where the four ways are on an angle and sight vision is restricted. You have to creep out a little, after stopping, then proceed.
Well if you never stop there's not much creeping going on, so many folks just don't stop first.
Why do they think that stop sign doesn't apply to them?

so much bad driving I'd chalk off to Darwinism if it only affected the bad drivers, but it never does.
Yesterday near Wrightstown I saw a white mid sized suv heavily crashed into the side of a utility trailer,
two landscape workers in F250 pulling a double zero turn load, trailer all bent up, tires flat, didn't get a look
at the mowers. I bet they pulled out in front of her and she wasn't paying any attention.

This is where a dash cam is your only friend, other than an honest witness.
Those folks were having a very bad day, at least didn't look like anyone hurt. Her airbag went off which I've never experienced but I'm told
rattles you a bit.

my dash cam only looks forward. I have no desire to make youtube movies. Someone hits me in the rear, forward facing camera will document plenty of info.
Like the fact I was stopped at the time. Too bad only gas station in town owned by Russians. I think their business is way down.

But she does give me grief over not riding my exercise bike enough.

Roy, hope you ok from the fall.

Good Morning.
It’s 58 with a forecast high of 82. Another nice, but dry day.

Yesterday I did get the chain closures on all the gates, made some rubber mask for the rock man, some inside chores, and then had to drive to Allentown to meet with an investigator for a freight company. We had a pair of propellers shipped from Florida after overhaul to the airport in Allentown, and the crates were damaged. They said not to open them without their investigator present due to the value (about 130k for the pair). The crates are large, just over 8 foot, so I’m sure they are no fun to handle. It appears that the props are unscathed, but we did not rule out hidden damage form the stress if they were dropped.

Today will likely start with breakfast with the professor, then I want to clean and service the grill. It hasn’t had a good cleaning in years and can certainly use it.
After that not much planned, have a new battery to put in the biplane, if it’s not too hot out I might get to that.
