54° right now...feels really good with a with the bedroom window open. High around 80°

Wifey and stepdaughter should be in Florida, but haven't heard from them...that's not too untypical.

Margeaux is doing great...no chewing on anything or stealing clothes out of the hamper. It's taken her a while to settle in, but she's getting there.

I need to make a dump run...that'll be today or tomorrow.

More later, I reckon...actually I just got up this early to take a pee...figured I'd read TBN. Back to bed now as it's 0329 here
Indeed going to be nice summer day with blue sky slight breeze low humidity near 80F,good day for you trim mow grind brush Roy....naaa kick back put your feet up watch good old movie and later on you and Marqeaux have good dinner both deserve it.

thanks Roy. I've been learning to hold my breath when walking too close to others, like in store aisle
so you are footloose and fancy free this weekend? What kind of trouble can you get into Roy? (y)

Plenty, if I want to!!!
I have a bottle of whiskey and a case of beer...but I also have to care for sweet Margeaux and yard details...as well as the usual dish washing, clothes in the wash...all that.
Oh yeah...and don't forget the dump run!!

This is sweet...

wngsprd - hope the wife gets some relief and they find out a fix for her.

Picked the first of the blackberries.

my first clone Makita battery has not burned the house down, the one I use in my Makita house vac.
So....now I see a well rated 9amp version. Power to the people.
That should do nicely with my leaf blower.

I wonder, on the chain saw, which takes two batteries, would it confuse the electronics somehow if I combined a 9A battery with a 5A?

same battery on Ebay for 19 bucks less and no name. I'm not that brave.

marvelous pics Ken. Not sure if I could learn stern in/Mediterranean mooring.

68°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 93° today. Chance for rain on Sunday has increased to 60% now. We sure could use it here.

No mowing last night. It was still 95° when I got home from work, and I'd had enough of that heat for this week. I'll probably just mow the front yard early Saturday morning before it gets too hot.

In lieu of sweating outside, I instead put in some cool time in the studio last night.

Kyle, we're hopeful that the fed involvement will prevent the city prosecutor from following her normal procedure of refusing to charge and releasing criminals so she can spend all her time and effort beating down the morale of the police. Man, don't get me started ...

Scaredychicken, sometimes it seems like the egg washing never stops.

Admitedly, I've never heard of St. Swithin's Day until now, Randy. As this is one of our milder and more typical summer days here, though, I'm all for the concept.

I noticed yesterday that nearby adjacent Madison County has started their oil and chip renewal on some of the country roads near us, check. I'll assume that our county will be right behind them with our roads. They seem to resurface ours every three or four years. Not a fan of the stuff either when it's fresh, but I certainly understand why they use it, and it's fine in the long run.

Good decision!!
There's a lot of bogus batteries on Amazon too...although warranted by EGO if sold through authorized dealers, many are sold by unauthorized sellers...

It’s just too bad they can’t “oil and chip” without getting subsequent traffic covered with the stuff. A bunch of the chips got stuck in the dogs for when I took him for a walk, and he was chewing it out and spitting it on the floor last night. We’ll have to walk him through the bush for his morning dump, and of course get exposed all the mosquitoes and stuff.

Good morning to all! Low of 58°, going up to 90°, chance of a T-storm. Nothing falling from the sky yesterday. Storms just didn't develop over this neck of the woods. At least we're not cooking with the high flame like Tx.

Have to get some grocery shopping done this morning, not sure what I will get into afterwards. The drip irrigation has to get turned on today, so at least that will occupy a few minutes.

I still have to try out the little pressure washer, maybe today will have an opportunity to see how well (or not) it works.

Everyone have a great day!

Good almost afternoon.
It’s 80 with a high of 85, another sunny dry day here.

I’m pretty much back on my feet having survived the attack and the ensuing quarantine. Got all the mowing done, continued with fence repairs, replaced a batch of posts.
Yesterday’s project was a dolly for the post hole digger. Got some 5”casters from HF and rummaged through the scrap lumber.

Worked out real well after figuring out that I had to ratchet strap the drive unit into its saddle so it didn’t flop around.
The big design goal was to have it work wherever the drive was positioned on the frame. And it works. It’s all the way to one side in the pictures and quite stable.

Been slowly cleaning up, getting ready for Drew’s project. It’s been so dry that there is no mowing this week, but plenty of fence work.

Going to put a pot of meatballs on this afternoon, band rehearsal this evening. I missed a gig last weekend, but had a great sub to cover for me. I want to make the one next weekend for sure.

68°F and .75 inches rain.

Off to town this morning. Pick up my new glasses at Walmart, get a new turbo nozzle at HD, some food at Safeway.

Then it will be back to power washing my PV

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good afternoon! 80 now, expected high of 82.

Got the root balls from the downed trees removed. Wife called her former employer, they delivered a shiny JD 310 with 70 hours on it yesterday. Backhoe removed the stumps/roots, bucket hauled them away. One little project today and we will be done. Best part is, as a retired employee…we only have to pay the delivery fee! Awesome.

Making decent progress on the trailer. Hopefully will start to wire the electrics yet today.

We outdone use some rain as well. The rain we got the other evening helped, but we need more.

Hope everyone that is ailing gets to feeling better.

Everyone stay safe out there!

Margeaux...

I never put it together until today...

When we adopted Margeaux, we expected a Lickey Lickey puppy
That's not what we got...

Margeaux is (per her DNA report) is 82% Great Pyrenees...a very serious guard dog...very protective
If you read about Great Pyrenees, you'll see that they are very independent and very protective
She normally stays in my wife's bedroom, but since my wife is in Florida visiting her daughter, Margeaux has been staying in my room
There's a little time being lovey lovey , but after that, she's at the foot of the bed and definitely guarding me
I'd rather a lovey dovey pup, but I have to respect Margeaux for what she is...a very protective, but not so very lickey lickey pup
And, we love her to pieces for what she is (even though her house breaking does suck...)

PJ, I was thinking I have heard of places that have public nuisance laws that allow them to bulldoze a place. It sounds you guys need something like that.

My wife said look out the window. There were 2 turkeys trying to figure how to get into the blueberry patch. My daughter asked if we were hosting Thanksgiving this year.

very nice morning and lunch with friends. Had to wait half an hour for seat at lunch and too hot to sit outside, so we sat inside.
Way too noisy for me. I almost left to get my noise cancelling headphones, these are good friends, don't care if I look dorky.
But I endured and came out with my ears ringing like mad.

am stuck assisting at memorial service at church tomorrow so no heading to Popgadget's garage.
Soon.

I was going to change the mower trans oil and filter but can't do it because I can't horse the mower deck off.
Mower is going to Popgadget's anyway, think I'll take the stuff along with me.
I may have the knowledge but sure don't have the body any more.
And I don't even have to take tools with me.
I'm going to Santa's workshop.

have found that putting reflective aluminum/shiny side sun mask on front windshield of car to be super
helpful, since car faces East in afternoon. Poor car never stays clean now; plus the occasional bird poop
likely from my own well fed birds returning the kindness.

guess I'd better go look for squash. Think I got them all yesterday. But they grow so amazingly fast.

going to take some to food pantry this afternoon and go buy a megamillions ticket.

Chris, late wife's family used to pay kids a dollar a bb if they found one in thanksgiving turkey.
chewing on lead, in any fashion, doesn't seem attractive to me
