Good morning to all! Low of 64°, high of 87° forecasted. Hit 88° yesterday. Better chances of a stray T-storm starting today, increasing over the weekend.

Took the string trimmer for a very short walk yesterday.... got too hot for me. Did the errands then took a quick nap. Another longer walk on the agenda for today.

Cutting it short.... need to get moving....

Everyone have a great day!

67°F and .05 inches rain. Sunshine this morning.

Yesterday turned in mostly energy conservation. The only hose Bibb I found was an old old in terrible shape, not good enough for the effort involved. By the time the grass dried, so had my motivation.

Took the new air fryer for a spin reheating a Costco chicken.

Sophie did compliment my piano practice, but she may have been a bit euphoric from beating me at H&F

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Morning!!!! No weather forecast, but made it to Lompoc just fine, if a little chilled from the brisk weather on the coast.

My friend is in the market for a pressure washer. How 'bout a recommendation? She's leaning toward an electric model. Do they make one that runs on batteries?

Gotta go...

77F and mostly cloudy @ 12:30, heading up to a high of around 80F for the day. Radar showing some showers a little to west and moving east, so seems like a good possibility of a little rain (50%) within the next hour or so. Probably won't be much but we'll gladly take whatever comes.

Six crows and a melanistic squirrel out at the feeders just a bit ago.

Went to go out the front door the other day and spooked a hummer who was at the newly relocated feeder so I know they've found it.

Agenda for today:

Move plants that need sun/light out of garage, wait to see if rain develops before watering.

More potting of bare root plants. May require a trip up to the pile for more screened compost.

Take string trimmer for walk along electric fence and cut down whatever is growing up into it. It needs sprayed then mulched but that will have to wait until the threat of rain has passed.

Go over paperwork from Menards on mulch and verify what they still owe us. Then place another order for some additional. They claim the bags weigh 34 lbs., but it's usually wet ... so I'm guessing that it's more like 50 lbs. Don't think I want to haul more than 2000 lbs. in the van, so probably limit it to 40 bags total. Probably should check the air pressure in the tires before heading off to pick it up.

No rain forecast after today until Tuesday and increasing temps in the meantime so probably put new hose on Water Buffalo and and refill it. That may require a trip down to the corner for the correct adapter fitting. Minimally, it will require locating the pipe wrench.

See what needs watered in the back, check squash progress.

Get those 4' tall cages completed.

That's probably plenty for now.

Hope everyone has a great TGIF !

had a nice lunch downtown with friend, actually found a parking spot

before that, had a very interesting trip to bank safety deposit box to put in graveyard memory card.
Well.....there on top of a pile of ancient documents was a big envelope marked 1956 where the old docs were put.
And I found something remarkable.

Stone on church wall says 1734. So that's when we thought we started, maybe a few years earlier.
Sitting in the bank was the original incorporation papers of the Quaker Meeting, done on some kind of animal skin it felt like, not any paper I've ever seen,
and as soon as I picked it up and opened it, was folded in fourths, knew it belonged in a museum. Included four small red wax seals of signatures.
April 5, 1722. Proves the Meeting is now 300 years old this year.

I'm going to recommend at Sunday's church business meeting that we take that ancient document out of the bank and get it properly preserved, under glass, and unfolded.

now out to mow lawn. Not super hot but pretty sticky out

I enjoy the Terri Miles and Brendan Kavanagh YouTube boggie style piano playing.

Interesting find, Drew.
If an organizational budget challenge your suggestion might make a very nice legacy gift.

I’d like to say that it’s a good morning, but it seems like my alligator repellant has let me down. Good thing is that I don’t even think the bite qualifies as as scratch, but it was definitely identifiable as alligator inflicted.
