That reminds me. Talking to dad, he said bush hog bolts for gearbox came loose again. The bolts on bottom are under the stump jumper. My 98 yr old dad removed the stump jumper, got the bolts tightened, but couldn’t get stump jumper back on by himsrlf, so he flipped the mower, and got it all put back together. By himself, he won’t wait for help.

I think I’ve just found my new role model. I hope to just like him when (if?) I’m 98!

66F and mostly cloudy @ 21:15, heading down to a low of 58F overnight. More great sleeping weather ... (y)

Got hopper feeder refilled first thing.

Moved latest batch of tomatoes and peppers in seed starter tray outside to start hardening them off.

Added cayenne pepper to the top of the dirt in the four grow bags with the gladiolus in them.

Moved more tomato and eggplants further out in front so they get more sun.

Additional order made up and placed with Menard's, now ready for pick up.

Last two bags of mulch removed from van and placed on the east planting bed, also removed 55G aquarium and got it taken around back. Tomorrow I'll fill it and check it for leaks.

Grabbed another bucket of weeds The Woman pulled that I found back there and loaded it in the dump cart.

Cleaned out the (now-empty) cargo area in van, loaded one gas can.

Loaded screenings from making potting mix into dump cart, along with some heavy clay dirt. Took that up along with the weeds and dumped it onto the compost pile.

Sprayed around perimeter of northwest planting bed, also between east side of frog pond and flower bed.

Couldn't quite get cleaned up in time to make it to Menards this evening so that will have to wait for tomorrow.

Woman brought home Chipotle (for her) and Singapore Mei Fun from the Chinese place (for me)

Time for another piece of that chocolate cake and then maybe some more repotting of yellow and red bell peppers if I can summon up the motivation.

Need to go put things away and close up first though.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

Well I don't often talk about my health care, but today was almost a record.
Doctor had me come in today because one blood work reading was a little high.
So yesterday evening I did my usual blood pressure check with my Omron cuff and it was like 157/98, very high for me. 115/67 is more like it.
Checked it a couple more times before I went to bed. Still high.
Didn't sleep well.
Checked it in the a.m. several times still high.
Got to the doctors office, worried.
Nurse takes my BP. 120/65. I whip out my Omron cuff, 155 over 95. We double check, apparently I need a new cuff :)
At my doctors they have detained me once when my numbers were over 139/89 (I had just come up 7 flights of stairs).

Good arvo. The overnight low was -1.2C and the 'reported' high is 13C... yet my thermometer is saying it's 17C. That's the difference between where I am and the aerodrome; I believe mine over 'theirs'. Clear sky and breezy.

Take care all.

Glad to hear it was just your Omron was off. Why would 139/89 make them detain you?

I was wondering that, not too unusual for me, even on BP meds. Just depends on what I’ve been doing, how long since last meds, etc. BP varies a good bit thru the day.

Just ordered myself a weather station Wagtail. A few klm away temps are different to here as is rainfall etc etc.
Not expensive but my last one was destroyed by ants building a nest in it.

Day took unexpected turn, but not to town.
Found what I thought was a replacement shear bolt for flail. Didn’t last a full circuit, so back to the shed.

Offered my neighbor some of my kabocha soup. She did supply the kabocha. She accepted and was home so I took it over.

Longer story short, I now own this

Grrr, not posting

Wasn’t quite free, $100. Between her, Sophie and I got it loaded onto my pallet forks and brought home.
Always wanted to learn the piano, guess this will be my chance.

I reckon that I'm 7km NW from the aerodrome. Not a huge distance but I'm 'inland' and they're somewhat on a coastal peninsula. The BoM automated station is there, probably for the RFDS flights that happen often. There's always been at least a 2-3C difference between them & I. My thermometer is only that, an outdoor wireless sensor + indoor.

Rainfall-wise, theirs is 'automated' and records in 0.2mm increments, mine is a "handraulic" graduated tube gauge in the middle of my front paddock that I physically check at 0900 (as required).

I like to keep things simple.

good morning all
cool cloudy day going up to high 70s with rain coming in tonight and thunderstorms tomorrow.

Alien, I know almost nothing about RC plane engines but that seems like a really big motor on that plane. How do they rate power
in those engines? Torque? HP?

going to be a quiet day, have housecleaning and wash to do.

Buppies, glad it wasn't more, I've itched for weeks where they did the scrape and burn on my back.
glad I have a long handled wood backscratcher.

58 this morning high of 80 today 90s next week yuk

Prayers for all

Neck sore this morning. Mostly removing food source will cause bears to move on but our bear population is increasing here not sure what I can do

plastic auto ramps came in yesterday, looks like they will do the job perfectly for getting the mower on the new trailer.
but........every time I look at that trailer and think about the golf cart, I realize my planning was pretty
defective here. Oh well. I've screwed up worse... trailer folks are nice, pretty sure they will take this one back and not beat me up too badly.
Golf cart showing up Monday or Tuesday. And then I will take a pic of the golf cart up on the trailer. Maybe.

I'm headed up to the Catskills in two weeks with the golf cart and whatever trailer will take it. Golf cart a lot heavier than mower, but think car will pull it fine.
Still way under tow rating of car.

The Saito FG21 is rated at 2.1 hp. It's 1.2 cu in. Bore is 1.26 inches or 32 mm. 21 cc.
The plane can fly comfortably with a 15cc engine but I need to run this engine in so why not have fun. Much like fitting a V8 in a 6 cylinder car.
