mowed my backyard, and then looking at mess next door, mowed neighbor's back yard. She is leaving in a month and isn't likely to mow anything again.
she and a mower were never friends. but she seems to appreciate me mowing it...
with 5 dollar gasoline, that's ten bucks worth of gasoline. I'm sure she doesn't have a clue. Grass is so thick over there I have to really rev up the Kawasaki and then it sucks gas.
Sure mows nice, plowed through some really heavy stuff, though I know to slow way down and let it digest its meal

went out without a hat since it was cloudy, sun came out, temps jumped to 80, humid, and got a little more sun than I should have. I almost always go out with a Tilley hat on.

the correct generator rocker on off switch came in from Honeywell, 2 days again and shipped within four hours of order. Someone is seriously on the ball there.

Afternoon all!
Beautiful day here today! Things are starting to get some color around here.
Wife had eye surgery Thursday and she is very happy. She can now see normally out of that eye!! Now we need to see if they can fix the other one that the lens either moved or was the wrong one. Her other eye issues are stable for now. Good news for sure!
Her heart issues seems to be acting up again! Hopefully we can get that back to normal. We are both losing weight and walking every day!
Need to get the snow blower off and mount up the mower on the Kubota this week. Not planning on mowing as much of the yard this year. We want to see what it will look like if we let some of the woods come back to the side yard. Hopefully will get some privacy back as there is a house there now.
Weather for the week is of and on rain with temps all over. I will take the 50+ degree nights!
Hope everyone is safe and healthy!

I put down 100# Kentucky fescue seed by hand, then straw over it. Wife & I go to feed horses & horses inside stall doors are open! They're kept latched. Barn is kept locked & I was working not far from stable...so it didn't make sense.
Horses made a mess & lids off 50 ga. grain cans but thankfully caught in time, we called vet, don't think they'll founder or colic.
Cleaned up all the mess, put on grazing muzzles, then heard squealing behind stall 8ft wall. What 'tha? With ladder looked down and it was a raccoon. I put a 2x4 down so it could get out, which it did. Went back, raccoon was gone but 2 babies there.
Now I'm trying to figure out...the best solution may be to unscrew outside wall getting them out, then board or wire to keep them out.View attachment 745895
This morning I was thinking how in the World can I get these racoons out! I'm so happy though, apparently me shining light down, etc., this morning they were gone!
Wife had a good suggestion. I have a roll of aluminum flashing that I'll put around each stall at the top angled down. That way birds, raccoons or other animals can't get in. Birds can't build a nest on sloped metal.
Our neighbor brought his almost 20 year old mower over to put new tires he bought on it.
It took most of the day but I won't charge. They bring cakes & food, wife loves to cook!
Mine is a good cook too...but not desserts.

@kenmbz - which distillery did you tour? Sagamore Spring in MD, makes an exceptional rye for my taste buds.

Home again. .28” rain here this afternoon.
Our new cat Tiger threw up after eating.
We get the kitten tomorrow, so it will become the new kitten.

64° and 99% humidity.

Only 1 bag of trash again. No time to gather stuff from the shed.
