Good morning!!!!

Morning all, an unseasonably cold 39. Glad I haven't put out the clematis yet.
Last night my son and his team put on a show for the middle school. Went well. The middle school had their team play too, and they are starting to get pretty good. Interesting seeing the difference middle school to high school in complexity.

Not much time so just made more cages for tree planting from the wire fencing.
Need to plant trees and hope no more freezes....Aren't we close to May??

Drew - sorry to hear about your friend- The kids are putting on a carwash this Sunday at the Newtown Ambulance (starts at 11am) if you want to stop by and make my kid do some work.

Buppies - another date with the dr. Hope this one is not too bad and gets you to a point where Dr. visits are less worrisome.

Today I may finally get to plant some of the small trees I bought. And then up to the apartment to get ready for my Dad's arrival Sunday night.

Stay safe and be well,

My son to the left next to the kid who forgot his jacket.

Drew I think foe me 11 pills a day and two shots are enough but maybe this will help. What did other docs say about your ringing ears?
this guy was my fourth ENT. He is the first person to connect TMJ to ear dysfunction. There is a muscle that goes up the air canal to each of our ears, and that muscle apparently
is in almost constant tension/contraction when it shouldn't be. (why the left and not the right?) And it makes the whole area hurt, from the back of my throat all the way up to my pressure filled left ear.
So I need to calm that muscle down. Well...I just experimented with a hot compress aka microwave wrap pressed on that muscle area and hmmmmm, seems a little better.
I think I'm on to something. After three years of feeling like my ear was full of water, maybe it's because it was being stretched all that time. And I had much less problems with tinnitus while in the hospital because I was on a bunch of meds and lots of steroids for cancer treatment. So I'm guessing that masked/quieted down that muscle.

I could also be barking up the wrong tree. I mentioned Meniere's and tinnitus to my primary and he just shakes his head, knows there isn't much he can do, and not a happy times for others also. Which makes me wonder if this was Meniere's at all and not just TMJ aggravated. So I'm going to get the bite guard next week and will think about the happy pill.

Good morning.
It’s 40 and going to 55 under clear skies today.

Yesterday was a busy day, while the shearing was going on, I prepared a buffet lunch for the troops in the shop and got all the mowing done. Had to take a break in the mowing to accommodate grandson’s schedule, but we got it all done.
They sheared 41 alpacas and were done not much after 1:00

Managed to get some paperwork done but, by the time I got everything cleaned up it was time to haul the trash and recycling to the street. I managed to get 14,000 steps and 16 flights of steps in before putting my feet up to catch the end of Jeopardy.

Belated congrats on the anniversary Mr & Mrs Bird. We are amateurs by comparison- 48 years coming up in August. Is it just me, or do long marriages seem to be the exception, not the norm these days?

Today will be more paperwork, but I would like to spread some stone in front of the manure bin to make It a bit neater getting in and out with the loader. Then hopefully test it by loading the manure spreader about 20 times to empty the bin. No music tonight, our drummer’s daughter is getting married.

I can’t remember if I shared it before but here is the rendering of Emily that will get sandblasted into stone. An artist friend made the sketch, then I scanned it and vectorized it so I could cut the rubber mask on the plotter.

We are still debating what if any text should accompany it.

a lovely tribute to a friend, Paul.

years ago I posted here a picture from the farm of the memorial for a German shepherd that was buried there, off to one side, I was always careful to tend that area.
Piece of granite with a photo installed under plexi of their dog. Put down by one of the two young girls that dog was brought in to protect, later in life.

Dog gives you unconditional love. The more you give them, the more you get back.
Cats seem more focused on what they want vs what you want.
The dog wants to please. Not sure cats care about pleasing...
They purr to get a rub. Or to announce a suitably soft warm spot to plop down on.
Do cats only purr near humans?

time to get a move on

57° and light rain this morning, going up to 75° today. The rain is about done for awhile, only to resume with rumbles later tonight and into tomorrow.

Another quiet evening around the house last night. Worked on some re-mixing and mastering for a few recording projects, and threw together a few videos (audio only). Stayed up too late, of course.

Still envious of your Katy Trail trip, Mostly_. Hope the weather is kind to you.

Good morning to all! The low was 48°, going to get warm at 77°. BUT... the wind is back, started sometime during the early morning hours. Woke me up, but I didn't look at the clock. Gusts expected to be 40-45 mph.

The wind should stop this evening, nice weekend, then back again on Monday.
Drew, since the wind is giving you some exercise chasing flower pots, do you want me to send more your way? I have plenty to spare.....

I still didn't get any diesel or fill the small gas cans..... each time that I was supposed to, I left without the jugs..... not 'down to the wire', but gonna have to get it soon.

Might go lay down for a nap.... didn't sleep good last night.... lots of tossing and turning, then the wind.....

PopG, how many lbs of fleece is accumulated? .... or doesn't anyone weigh it?There is an alpaca farm down the road from us. They do tours a couple times a year, but never went to one.

Everyone have a great day!

52F and sunny @ 11:45, headed up to a high of 64F for the day. Might hit 70F tomorrow. No low temps in the 30's in the Ten Day so it's likely that we're outside the frost/freeze window until Fall.

With that in mind, I start moving plants outside today to harden them off.

Really curious to see how long some of the veggies (tomatoes, peppers, eggplant) take to get up to any decent size. They're still pretty tiny ... but I still have some time yet.

First thing on today's outside agenda will be to uncover the plants out back. Since we should be done with the tarp, I'll probably go ahead and staple it down over on the lawn to kill off the grass and weeds for the enlarged garden area. There's another tarp laying over in the woods that is covered with leaves that I could use as well, if there aren't any trees down on it and I can get up pulled up. Think there is another tarp around here somewhere that can be used as well if I can locate it.

After that I have some leaf/debris clean up in the planting area on the north side of garage where the large Bluegreen and other hosta and hydrangeas are growing. Once I get that loaded up in the dump cart I'll take it up and add it to the compost pile and on the way back grab some screened compost to make up some more potting soil mix.

Then probably do some work around the peach tree on the east side and the other redbud out back, adding screen compost around both.

Later I'll do the service on the Cub (oil and filter, clean the precleaner on the air filter. Woman commented that I need to give it bath ... probably wait until tomorrow when it's a little warmer (and drier)

Before and after the dandelion mowing yesterday:

Nice looking produce RS.

Thanks.

They're just seeds right now ... but hopefully they will make some nice produce eventually.

If the gasket on Mom's old Presto pressure cooker is in decent shape, we hope to do some canning later this year ... if they produce well.

Hope everyone has a great TGIF !

65°F and .23 inches rain.

Guys lost at H&F. After the trouncing the gals took last week this was probably a good thing LOL. Dinner was excellent.

Will continue my search for horizontal surfaces. Possibly grill another wheel barrow of cutoffs.

You guys post some nice pics of fliers and veggies. I seem to be having a problem seeing some. While my internet reports a decent speed test result the actual loading is terrible. No clue as to problem

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

If you run speedtest.net what is your ping time? Probably a lot of hops from your house to the larger ISP.

It does seem that marriages don't last long now-a-days. I reckon you and I. and some of our other members here, are the exceptions.
