Kyle, sometimes it’s beneficial to tell current employer that you have another offer. Doesn’t do much for your commute, but maybe something else.

Kyle glad you had no damage. Is the new job offer closer?
The Spring Mega neighborhood Garage Sale is April 2. 8am - noon.

Mostly, looks like there is only 1 fatality from Monday's tornados, up near you in Grayson County.

Morning/afternoon all! Cool night temps to a low of 5C it'll warm up to at least 20C on this sunny day.

Not much to report as, apparently, my body decided that I needed to have a sleep-in 'til 0900. It's good to be retired. :)

Good evening all. 42ºF for the start, mostly cloudy and breezy. Windy day, some clearing of sky, and high temp was 59ºF, DP 21ºF. Men's meeting to start, then bike ride to try and miss the peak winds, still had .96 wind penalty. Afternoon was putter and nap.
Dennis have heard 4% and 5% rule. I had enough saving that income was not issue. I paid off mortgage 10 after building the house. The only debt I took on was to take advantage of car discount, paid load off after 5 months.
David lot of good advice. SS payout based on top years of income. Unless you can get a job changes which years are used to calculate benefit you can use SS website to calculate the years to break even early start vs full benefit start.
David interesting jumper battery did not start car. Glad you had good dinner
Drew Hope you get your apples.
Billy Good advice, nice you got to hike with the wife. Sounds like a great day.
Buppies that is a while to wait on tires. sorry knee not happy, hope memory loss from bad battery
Bill if your CCP is fully funded then it is managed much better than SS. Hope you conserved much energy today.
Don good point, Gainesville hospital does not have full heart capabilities.
Ken sorry about the furnace, like the progress and pic :)
Don thanks for link, never seen anything like the pickup spinning on side.
Drew going back to nursery, you are living on wild side ;)
RNG that is getting a range the hard way. Glad you are keeping poison oak under control on you. Good to hear 1 lizard back.
Paul neat pics, hope the food was as good.
Ken glad to hear co-worker surviving the war.
Thomas glad you get break for job
Randy hope you got chores done and had inside work for afternoon.
David I would suspect you have an intermittent current draw or battery short.
Drew hope fence power system can handle additional fence. Good luck with hearing.
Ted nice snow pic, nap sounds good.
Bill isn't that what they made DVR for? now you have underachieved on energy conservation, and going to town tomorrow :)
Kyle glad you were not hurt in storm! Good luck with job decision.

Kyle, glad you and family are ok.
Some people will do anything to visit the chicken ranch.

I got a job offer today, to go back to my 1st employer that I left 19 years ago. . Less than I currently make, but way more than I expected, and it could increase my retirement from there. The longer I stay, the more it will increase my retirement BUT the bad news is I could have started that retirement over a year ago, and I calculate a good bit lost already over 14 months of not collecting. So any new gains need to include losses of not already collecting. Ain’t this fun.
I’ve been cranking numbers all day.

So working a year longer, I could pull more each year in retirement but it would cost me another 1 yr hit versus just taking it now. The 14 months lost is water under the bridge. It’s complicated.

Also been having lots of sinus issues the last day. Hope it’s not the alligator thing and just a cold or pollen starting. I want to go see dad this weekend.

Ahhh, cranking numbers, fun, fun, fun.

I’m sure you know, a year goes by faster every year.

I did get my custom blinds installed, not much else.
Didn’t check the truck battery, but did change service appointment to Fri. I don’t think it is solely the 3 year old battery. Got to be some sort of draw, short, malfunction and I sure hope the service department finds it.

65 already, going to 71...pretty hard rain last night.

Kyle, smart getting your family out if you had an escape route. Hope you come to a good decision on your job opportunity.

Buppies, how are you feeling today after your fall?

Got caught in the rain twice working outside yesterday, so just gave up and watched an Audie Murphy movie.

Good morning to all! Low of 16°, we did get the 2" of snow as predicted. Forecasted high is 48°. Drier air already moving in, the humidity is at 10% already, dew point is a whopping -32°. Yes, a minus -32°. Don't think we will get anymore snow.....

Here is a pic of the snow on the mountain....

WNG, I am envious of your hikes.... I did the Appalachian Trail many, many years ago as a young pup. I really loved doing it. Nothing else like it since. Enjoy it for me!
That's cool that you hiked the A/T. That's a tempting mountain in your photo...ever hiked in the Sandia?

Good morning, low temp 32 and high to 41°F. Wind E 19 mph. Risk of ice pellets/freezing rain. 10cm/4".
According to the radar map, most off the yellow and red will pass west of me, but it will pass right over where I would be going.
I did hear something that sounded like freezing rain yesterday evening when I went to bed. I have a steel roof and could hear it pounding on it. The cats were upset for a bit.
I am not going anywhere other than town this afternoon with a forecast like that.

:ROFLMAO:Any excuse is better than no excuse.:ROFLMAO:

An energy conservation day for sure.

Have a good day all

Good Morning.
It’s 40 and supposed to make it into the 50’s today with intermittent rain all day.

Yesterday.s return from Asheville was uneventful, especially considering the departure was into low clouds and rain, and the route had to cross a front with lots of yellow and red on the radar. Turns out, the top of the weather was not very high, and we were quickly only top of it. Got home early enough to swap the snow plow for a loader bucket on the tractor, and pick up the manure spreader and make a repair to the underside.

Today will start out with breakfast with a friend, then see what mischief I can get to in the shop. I got a shipment of woofers in yesterday, I’ll have to see what other parts are going to be a challenge. I’m thinking that I need to stock up on Baltic Birch while I can get it.
Also have to remember it’s trash night tonight.

Drew, in this crazy market, have you been able to realize a profit on the vehicles that you are flipping in search of the perfect one?

No, I lost a few grand on the Genesis but last year made an extra six grand selling the Audi at top of market. And I will get my money out of truck.
So...kind of a wash. But at least no loss. Didn't know my truck was a rotter or the car had a bad rear end.
The car and truck were first used vehicles I had bought since high school. I think I'll stick with CPO or new from now on, though likely I'll have this Volvo a long time.
