Good morning!!!!

Good evening all. 44ºF for the start, overcast sky, windy. Windy again, sky variable cloudiness, high temp 64ºF, DP 25ºF. Putter for a bit this morning then worked on wood pile (last wood run). Bike ride early afternoon, wind penalty 1.5 miles. No nap, took to long for body to slow down so I could sleep. Group rid in morning.
Roy mid 60's pretty warm compared to recent snows :)
RS hope you got parts ordered and the nap in :)
Bill hope you were able to find the kitties, nice link.
Buppies good to hear wife's slice is healing and no complications yet.
Billy good to hear tax work winding down. Air penalty measured in miles. It is a measure of how much energy used to fight the wind. I would have to bike another 1.12 miles at same speed in still air to use same amount of energy for the ride.
Drew glad headphones helped. Did not hear about golf team bus wreck , thanks for info.
Don Air penalty is when air is pushing against you. today's air penalty was 1.5 miles. See Response to Billy above for more details. Good to hear Carvanna still a go.
Ken sorry about heater board, those specialized boards are almost alway costly. neat pic
Bill sorry about the MIA kitty
Helogabals easy way to get what sounds like good beer :)
Paul hope you could stick to plan.
Bird we were at 3.75 at Gainsville. Lot of wind, bike was sliding some on road.
RNG 200 for fillup is a milestone I do not wish to cross.
Bird don't feel bad, we got a trace, just enough the wipers could clear windshield.
James thanks for background on Irish Rovers
Don I agree fescur won't like Texas heat.
RNG glad no problems with dozer arrival. Hope clean up goes well. Nice list to get in town.
Kyle sorry to hear about your mom, prayers sent.
Fuddy interesting pic
PJ would like to have some rain here. Your weekend awaits your with all the parts delivered :)

Good morning, temp 36 and going to a high of 37°F. Wind E 19 gusting to 25 mph. Periods of rain or snow. Good! That'll cut away the snow and ice we have.
As much as I like the snow, I also like to see it gone.

I took possession of this place in 1994, this past winter is the least snow we've had here and about the longest the deep cold has been with us.

The orange kittie showed up at 9:30 A.M. Juniors' wife stayed at home and told us when we got back. The little booger has more or less forgiven us for trying to catch him. His brother the gray one came home yesterday at 4. He was a little dopey, which is a good thing. No cone of shame though. The vet does this thing with a laser that they say speeds up the healing to where they don't need it. He, the gray one, slept under my bed last night for a while.

I don't know what I will get up to today, but you can rest assured it wont be much.

Have a safe day all

60 going to 79. Yesterday was "hot" too.

Wag, hope the lamb is good and fund raiser successful.

BEF, sorry the land deal is off. I know you won't give up your search.

Worked several hours clearing vines, brush and small trees from the fence line yesterday. Used the blade trimmer where I could, but spent more time with the loppers. Primarily focused on clearing around the dogwoods and blue bird house. Now have many piles to grapple away, once things dry out enough to use the tractor.

I took a look at the TSC website to see if gly has come down any...nope, still 129 for a 2.5 gal jug...but they did have a different brand that was on sale for 40/gal. It didn't state it had surfactant. I'll be going by an Agri-Supply today so will check them out.

txdon said, "Bird a few pics of a boarder area under trees where grass will not grow."

Thanks, Don. Sounds like good advice.

good morning all

nice dinner out last night in Rehobeth Beach, though for only second time in life had to send
dinner back. Osso Bucco, showed up as two teaspoons of meat, like walnuts, and a piece of cut bone with the marrow showing. ?? Where's the shank? Owner of restaurant came out, sincerely apologized, said they had a problem with the veal order, and replaced my dinner with short ribs, which were good. And my entire entre was comped and not charged for.
Dinner started off with new waitress spilling large glass of water all over the table, had to change everything, she was mortified but we tried our best to tell her no problem. Both my friend and I started out bussing tables at 14, so we were very sympathetic.

then we went for a short drive up to where President Biden has a beach home, and the road was closed at the end, lots of black suburbans, and we quickly left to not get trapped back down this no outlet road. Sure enough two big helicopters came over and landed in the local park, which they had shut down. Like all Presidents who come to town, the locals know when "Uncle Joe" is home. He is their native son.

Mostly, after washing Miata and Volvo, I was sweating and done. I'll get yours done next time...

Headed home soon after breakfast, rain coming in and hope to miss part or most of it.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago, I even posted it on here for everyone that was talking about it.

Nope. But I vaguely remember Paul Hanover.
I won't put the song on here that shot them to the hit parade as it is a little raunchy. The title is It's 40 below.
They were a fairly good bar band out of the Medicine Hat area.

Two friends of mine own the Blue Moon in Rehobeth. Fine dining and bar, great entertainment (hilarious), on Thursday night before Covid, not sure now. They are a gay couple but most of the clientele is not. You all should give them a try next time you’re down, food and wine selection is quite varied.
I did all the seating there, though it’s likely redone by now.

Thought there were supposed to be bad storms on East coast today. Nothing on radar yet.

We are now looking at land in WV panhandle above Winchester. Prices drop significantly in that area, and there are still Mountain View’s, and most are no restrictions, which can be good or bad. If neighbors are built on, you know what you are dealing with. but not as spectacular as down in Rockbridge county. We’ll see. Maybe it’s not meant to be.

Good Morning.
It’s 52 and sunny, but we are expecting rain and possibly thunderstorms later on.

I stuck to the plan yesterday and had a nice relaxing day. About the only chores that I accomplished was to repair a downspout on the shop and bring up the trash toters.

Today, I would like to get to the hangar and get back to work on the little airplane, maybe check out the recording from last night as well.

Good morning! 35˚F partly cloudy, soft wind shifting now from the South heading to the upper 70s.
Perfect day to fertilize the yard today, with rain forecasted for Monday and Tuesday.
New study out. Those who choose J&J for alligatoritus chose wisely as long terms studies start to come out. I did not, but wife did.
google NBC J&J.
Royal Caribbean sent an email. Since they re-opened one million people have sailed.

Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 5:30AM. Cloudy with showers. High 57F. Winds SSE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
Even chances it'll rain today, but even if it does, it won't amount to much. Predictions are still holding at 0.05". And still calling for 80F+ temperatures starting Tuesday, and now more rain a week from Monday.

Not sure I want to monkey with that dozer, Ted. Darn thing threw a track yesterday, and I'd feel awful if it did something like that, or even worse.

Holy mackerel, Randy, that's a great price on RM43, even in times before alligators! But the link to quilltop I found with google returned a "Page not found" error, and other results were approaching $200 for that 2.5 gallon jug.😭

Les, the dozer owner/operator, showed up right on time at 8:30 yesterday morning, and I was already busy stoking the burn pile when he got out of his truck. By nine he'd finished greasing and warming up the dozer and we were off, me trailing behind on the tractor with the grapple. He knocked 'em down, I stacked 'em up. All day. He also cut a new trail to the very bottom of the lot to get access down there, and together we cleaned up almost all of the bottom property line, almost 600'. Probably have more green trees in the piles than dead ones, as so many had bad roots and fire damage that would kill them in the fairly near future, It would be a shame to have to bring in the dozer again to clean them up. It's just too steep in most of that area to get after with the tractor. The weatherman is calling for light showers this afternoon, so I'm not sure if he'll be back this morning or not. Guess I'll find out at 8:30.

Things went fairly smoothly until a track came off the dozer while Les was side hilling. With a couple come alongs and a long pry bar, he and his partner Mike got it back on, but it cost 'em an hour-and-a-half. They had to remove a lock bolt in the tensioner mechanism to get enough slack in the track, and in the process lost a lot of grease and a little ball bearing that made the seal at the bottom of the bolt hole. Fortunately, I was able to scrounge up replacements in the garage. I'll go out in a little bit and clean up the mess I made on the workbench looking for another little ball. Only now I remember I have a box full of 'em sitting next to the Wrist Rocket in the closet.😫

Not sure what else is on the agenda for today, other than greasing the tractor first thing, and probably fueling it up, all before rain showers start around noon.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
