Class won't be bad. It's basically a JD university 2 day class, to learn changes to their engine diangnostic software.

I went through one back about 10 years ago in Dallas put on by the same instructor. Actually kept in touch with him since he's also our engine suppliers tech support department So if I come across something I'm not sure about, I give him a holler.

And yes, I've had him scratching his head with a few wth's on occasion Gotta keep him on his toes

The 300hp engine giving off a loud bang and shooting a tar ball out the exhaust every 30 minutes was the most memorable scared the living daylights out of the oil well drillers the first time it happened

it was during sub zero temperatures and the engine breather was freezing/ clogging. Re-routing it back to the air filter housing so it kept it under a slight vacuum cured the issue.

Class is actually more in depth then what we will actually need. There are certain things he will cover in the class that we won't ever use. But learning all the diagnostic options and tests will be handy.

Looking forward to meeting the parts guys I deal with on the phone on a regular basis as well since this class is held at their shop.

So I plan on poking around a little, being nosy, and maybe a little snooping

Good morning, low temp -4 and a high forecast of 23°F. Wind SW 7 mph. 40% chance of flurries.

Ya, I know, I am up way too early. Actually got up at 01:30 and just finished reading the 5 pages since I posted yesterday.

Went to town on Tuesday, regular town run on Thursday and now I need to go to town this morning (DIL is out of 3 scripts), surely they knew about that on Thursday. They sure like wasting my gas. Maybe I should charge them $10.oo every time I haul them to town.
I will squeeze some outside work out of him today, that is for sure.

I never sell March short. We get some of our worst snowstorms in March.

alien, be careful in all the flooding and hoping your brother gets to safety.

Have a safe day all

Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers folks. Much appreciated.
Managed to get through some water today to get to the city. Bought a new generator as our old one couldn't run the microwave for some reason. Bought a 3300 watt Inverter genny and so far it is doing everything we need it to. Old one was 2200 watts.

A quick glance at the national weather map shows that Ea WA state has avoided most of the major storms lately. We had another inch of snow yesterday and our cold WX has warmed considerably.
