Yesterday evolved differently than expected. An early delivery from FedEx prompted change. Backsplash prepped for grout, but awaits the big deal.

Need to make drop at dump first thing, then on to my semi annual eye appointment. Sure to have a discussion about my cataracts.

The dilation will pretty much ruin the rest of the day. Always takes me hours to recover. Afternoon will find me in recliner, eyes closed, drifting in and out of awareness.

One always has to look at performance vs certain major indexes, like the S&P.
Then to some degree you can calculate the cost of your convictions if you restrict too much,
or perhaps smile at your gains if you happened to pick the gainers correctly.

Interesting to look at the Quaker Index Fund, Drew. You have to go back three years to find it beating the S&P 500, but the differences are small. Some would say it's a small cost to pay for a clear conscience, but most funds fail to beat the S&P, ever.

No, but that is a also a really good one. I did the Rocky Mount - Gap Run trails and an extra side trail: 10.37 mi, 2589' total elevation gain. Shenandoah has mountains named Rocky Mountain, Rocky Mount, Rockytop, Rocks Mountain, all near each other, so can be confusing.

57°F and rain this morning. The rain is supposed to end around noon, then the temps will fall the rest of the day to the upper teens by morning tomorrow. Looks like we get a break for much of tomorrow before the wintry mix stuff hits us in the evening. 2-4" is the latest guess.

CEO asked me about my Thursday trip, and I told him it's kind of up in the air at the moment. He's OK with whatever decision I make. I'm kind of leaning towards going, as I'll be driving away from the storm, and they're only predicting rain in Louisville. Probably wait until tomorrow afternoon to make the final decision.

52.F with rain @ 12:30, heading up to a high of around 60F again today. Hit 60.4F yesterday ... 3/4 of the lower front had grass showing on it but the yard around the house was still mostly snow covered. Today it's only about 50% covered. By the time the rain ends snow will probably be gone ... except where it's piled up from plowing.

Ten Day calling for a six day cold snap (with some snow) after today, then up into the low to high 40's for the three days after that ...

Woman did the grocery run yesterday, picked up a chicken for herself, got me some hamburger for the Hamburger Helper ... also restocked flour, confectioner's sugar, buttermilk, and peanut butter - JIF Natural this time around - for additional sheet cake production ...

Trash and recyclables taken up to the road yesterday and cans put out for pick up, mail collected.

Have to finish up an email this afternoon, not sure what's on agenda after that.

25 more days to go until Spring.
