Mostly, the potatoes are 3" underground, they do not freeze here that low. If the foliage pops out of the ground it will freeze.
42 cut potatoes (5lbs.) are in the ground.

We just past the halfway mark this quarter in cards - Hand and Foot. I'm hanging on to first place by a lead of 3 games. I did have to sacrifice Valentines evening to play cards, Was that bad of me?

Never got to the wire shelves, but I did get to the cabinet doors. Missing one pull for the new doors but found one on ebay.

Mostly, I did a factory restore, from win11 back to win10, and there was no audio. I don’t think it ever worked. I got this in December and one of first updates it went to win11.

No luck on refund of late fee, but MVA did extend truck emission test till June, and said no late fee. We will see.

Amazon sent me 6 more spark plugs, instead of refunding my money like I asked. And they broke it up into 4 orders making it a bigger PITA to return.

Good morning, low temp is 13°F and high to 36. Wind SE 13 mph. 40% chance of flurries or showers.

Up at 2 this morning, couldn't sleep. Probably have a nap this afternoon.

My favourite Jag is the MK 10 Saloon.

Day 2 after poke and I haven't grown an extra head and still have all my digits and limbs, so I guess I am good to go. Will be nice to ditch the mask.

An energy conservation day today.

Have a safe day all

good morning all
17 out now and start of warming trend over next three days, high of 48 today

nothing planned for today. Have an errand to run but otherwise will finish taxes

not a successful trip to dealers, believe it or not they did not stock the serpentine belt for this car. I found that hard to believe.
they also did not find a rear end whine and said they tightened an air intake hose instead. Really? I say whine in rear and they tighten an air cleaner hose?
Pretty much lost hope on that. Guess I need to sell the car and get something newer.

I did notice that dealer had ADM/adjusted dealer markup on every car, at least a thousand dollars packed into a 35k car. I simply refuse to pay ADM.
Going to wait.

26 high of 57 today trees down south are budding not good for allergy sufferer. I refuse to pay as well Drew. Heard one of the big three has said if a dealer adds this fee they will receive no more new cars

Prayers for all

Eric, according to Daily Mail you've got two storms coming your way.
Thanks for the warning L4N, the Daily Mail has a tendency to exaggerate things, however this time it seems that there are exceptionally low pressures in place over the Atlantic contributing to these two.

The first storm has just arrived, Ireland and Scotland are going to get the worst of it, not too bad for us so far, winds gusts only up to 50 mph with rain still a couple of hours away. The second one on Friday looks like it will blow a lot harder and we are in the middle of the predicted path. I have been looking around outside to see what I can move into the tractor shed and what needs weighting down with bricks. One good thing is that our fields have plenty of hedges, the ewes will hopefully find enough sheltered places for their lambs to duck out of the worst of it.

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 4:00AM. Abundant sunshine. High 71F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph.

Do you have a test loop on which you could demonstrate the rear end whine, Drew? Might be a way to get the dealer to understand the problem.

Windy yesterday morning, so I spent it in the garage swapping batteries on the touring bike. Load tested the one in it, and it wouldn't consistently put out a voltage. Seemed like maybe one of the terminals was bad.

By afternoon the winds let up, so I finished limbing up the pile of downed trees, and now have a smaller burn pile and a much larger feeder pile that I'll keep adding to. Just need a calm morning to fire it off. Looks like another tree is down on the lower part of the lot, so it looks like more seat time for today.

Hump Day already...

Good Morning
It’s 22 and going into the 40’s with clear skies.

Yesterday started with breakfast with my retired lawyer / professor friend. After that some chores and a trip to get welding gas. Traded in a 20 for an 80 cu ft CO2 / argon mix. The bottle upgrade was more than I expected, it cost me $260 to get out of there. I prefer to own bottles rather than rent them, I hate recurring costs, and my usage is very sporadic. Next stop was Staples for a toner cartridge for an HP laserjet. I couldn’t get a single, had to buy a pack of 2. Turning out to be an expensive morning, but I got through the rest of the day without spending any more.
Emily seems to be stabilizing, she still stumbles and occasionally sits unexpectedly, but gets around and is happy.

Today I plan to get to the hangar and make some progress on the little airplane. Other than that, nothing planned.

Drew, sounds like my typical dealer experience. One of the reasons that I end up doing most of my own repairs. I am lucky to have an eccentric, but very competent local mechanic to do tasks that I don’t want to do, but obviously he can’t do the warranty work that a dealer can. In all fairness, noises are one of the hardest things to troubleshoot. Especially if they can’t be predictably reproduced.

Drew, if you want to quieten the whine in the rear end down, put a couple of bananas in it. Let the buyer beware.

Yes terrible took wife for seafood she had a great time
Buppies, Dog houses are not allowed in the neighborhood, so good there. I did supply my wife with two new books, her second love.

Good morning! 62˚F, cloudy, South wind heading to 70.
IRS refunded me after filing just 8 days ago, nice surprise it was so quick.
WFPB meeting today with my wife as the guess speaker. She has a good slide show presentation on reading and understanding food labels. She is also throwing in a quick review of a new study on Olive oil which came out last month. Olive oil is no better than any other vegetable oil and better than lard. In the study "oil" to "no oil" was not part of the study but the headlines still incorrectly says that it is heart healthy. All added oils are just the fat of the complex Whole Foods that should not be processes out, you loose the nutrients and only gain empty calories and all oils hurt your blood vessel endothelium for hours after ingestion.

Good morning!. 40° now on it's way to 56°.

Told my wife about the abrupt change in hydraulic oil delivery at work. She manages a store for a major equipment rental company. She has a bulk tank for the hydraulic oil. She is now restricted to 2 - 5 gallon buckets/month. She is 1 blown hose away from being out of hydraulic oil. 😲

Chasing noises in a vehicle is tough. You sit in a metal shell that resonates sound. There just isn't enough sound deadener when you get the right sound in the right place. But the echo chamber of the body can make you do a lot of chasing.

Bike batteries actually kind of suck @RedNeckGeek. They don't seem to be as robust as car/truck batteries.

Everyone stay safe out there!

Morning all, 18 going up to 48 and I do see a little sun through the clouds.
One of the foxes is back and I saw it twice yesterday. It is big and healthy looking.
Wonder if it's going to get the last rabbit and one last squirrel.

Sodamo - Nephew pics is really cool. He has some great handwriting. If it weren't for computers I would not be able to read my own handwriting.

Stay safe and be well,

Acapulco has certainly changed from the 50's . Don't think we will go back. The bad guys kinda own the town now. When my wife was younger she was there and she said it was so completely different back in the 80's
Saw the cliff diving and went into town, area we were in had a shootout about a month later.
This was from 2009.

And how! I've tried most brands out there, and seldom get more than five years out of one. Even keeping them hooked up to a Battery Saver charger is no guarantee they'll be OK when next needed. I haven't tried a lithium based battery yet, but they'er showing promise if for no other reason than their small size and light weight. Still pretty unsure they'll hold up in the heat and vibration present in a typical motorcycle, though, and at the current price point, it's an expensive gamble.

Drew, I mentioned it before that my neighbor is a Cady dealer. He said if he could get an Escalade he thought he could sell it for 20 thousand over MSRP so a thousand doesn't sound that bad but what do I know? I can't figure out what a dollar is worth any more.

Chris, what may be good for him is surely not good for us.
Every grand of extra cost just adds to long term cost of operation.

When I was selling yachts in Florida for three years, several of my largest clients were car dealers.
Car dealership owners make a huge, repeat huge amount of money. John Staluppi is one example of flagrant wealth.
I'm sorry but when they bring out the violins of poormouth and need for ADM, my hearing just hears noise.

Just because a lot of folks are making seriously good money in current market and want to pee away money on poorly valued
luxury items doesn't mean it's smart for me to. And I really had to laugh when I looked at the sticker of the one triple black G90 Genesis sedan, the top dawg
of them all, which stickered at 81k and they had the audacity to load on another 4 grand to make it 85. I hope the tires go flat on that car in the showroom, but I know
they won't. Someone got a bonus and in they come with a fat wallet and not much patience. A salesman's dream.

Drew are you thinking of buyer the same brand car again? With the dealers approach at solving your problem yesterday I would scratch that off my list just sayin..
