Saw an interesting property yesterday in Rockbridge county. Has an old rundown house on it that needs a match. However, there is a nice stream between it and the road, so a substantial bridge would be needed. Looks like people drove thru creek, or parked on road side, it has a footbridge across the creek. 20 minutes outside of Lexington. Mostly wooded over 50 acres.
Wife was showing me a property she found online yesterday near Farmington MO. 12 acres, partly wooded with a nice stream and a pond. However, the "two residences" on the property are an older double wide trailer and an even older single wide trailer. We both said the same thing; those would have to go and build a permanent house. Price wasn't bad, but not sure we want to go through that again. We just sank a lot of money into remodeling this place. Can't seem to stop looking, though.

23 early, 55 now. The warm air over the snow has socked us in, the fog finally lifted a bit about 11.

In the early seventies I lived in Vallejo and Stockton, I liked the Central Valley way better than the Bay Area but I did enjoy the SF visits. Eating in Chinatown at the family restaurants and riding the cable cars,as well as the giant junkyard in Pinole.
At the time I lived in Stockton there were 116,000 there, mostly Okies, Arkies, Texans and Chicanos. It was a great town, now I understand it’s gang central.

Working on the club’s breakfast WFPB alternative menu. These breakfast burritos will do nicely. Homemade hummus, potatoes, onions, bell peppers, garlic, spices.

Yeah, pretty much, at least the downtown area. Recall that my last misadventure with the motorcycle saw me broken down in Stockton, but it was at the very northern and very suburban end of town. The bike picked a spot right across from the Mercedez-Benz dealership, there were lots of very expensive vehicles tooling around, and at least until the sun went down, I didn't feel too conspicuous. After sundown, though, the low lifes started crawling out from under their rocks, making me more than relieved when my buddy showed up with his truck.

wow it took a while to catch up....
41 degrees and foggy all day, snow very pretty still but starting to melt

about an inch and a half of rain predicted, or say a foot of snow. I'll take the rain and it's going to be seriously soggy
when that's done as it will melt all the snow out there now.

was never much of a drinker but a never miss was the neighbor's home made peach schnapps near my friend's mountain cabin in Arkville NY.
There was a real burn as that went down, and then a ball of heat in your stomach.
Two little glasses of that and we were laughing and being stupid all the way back to the cabin, about a half mile up the mountain side.

41°

Tonight’s state is about my favorite vacations, Colorado.
Went there once for business, but in 2007 we went with a large group of friends to a dude ranch in Gunnison. We flew to Denver, than visited Colorado Springs, canon city, then rode the Durango silverton RR. Then drove the million dollar highway to Ouray and meet our group at waunita hot springs. Rode horses every day, went white water rafting, and the best food. And a large pool fed from the hot spring, after a ride the water was great.
This is on top of Stella Mt, above tree-line on the continental divide. Was an all day ride.

We returned in 2009 and did it again with 2 other couples. On the 2nd trip, a storm came in fast while on Stella, and we rode straight down the side of the Mt to get off the top. Just after we got down in the trees, lightning struck somewhere up on top. I have hundreds of “favorite pics” from these trips.
In 2008 we visited Rocky Mt national park as part of another trip.
I still stay in touch with the ranch on FB.

Started snowing about 10 this morning and hasn't stopped yet. I should have about 4" or so to plow tomorrow, then sunny and cooler for the next three days.
The mild temperatures got the foot and a half of snow on my steel roof moving downwards. The older cats aren't bothered about the freight train overhead when the snow moves, but the younger ones are a different story. They will get used to it.

Still snowing here..... and it's 9°F. It didn't stop all day, just varied in intensity. My quick check showed 11 inches at 7 pm, supposed to ease off around 10, but could have a few more bands come across overnight.

I didn't even think about plowing during today. It's not going anywhere, so tomorrow's agenda is set. The temps aren't going above 25° until Saturday. I'm glad we aren't getting any ice.

Everyone stay warm, enjoy the evening.

9 P.M. 35˚F Our neighborhood has shut down all services. The county has also shut down. Only essential county workers will work tomorrow and Friday. School of course is out and residents are encouraged to stay home and remain indoors if possible. At midnight tonight untill 9pm tomorrow we will be under a Winter Storm Warning.

The store was very busy all day yesterday and today according to the checker - I was 12th in line to check out in the express lane (about 10 minutes). About 20% of the normal items were missing from the shelves. Two men waiting in line ahead of me got in a heated argument but I was about 8 people back so did not catch the reason for the name calling.

Good evening all. 41F for the start, breezy and overcast sky. Windy, overcast, and rain started early afternoon. Freezing started shortly after sunset, mostly sleet. High temp was 56F at 12:01 and low is forecast to be 26F at 11:59. Did not get a lot of rain, and freezing precip has been mostly light. Men's meeting to start morning, started fire in inset about 10. Puttered and feed fire until nap time. Went out to dinner, could see some partially frozen tracks. Ice on truck for trip home, no problem and truck hiding in garage. No generator or backup battery so hope no power loss. Got phone call this evening BIL passed suddenly, heart issues.
