Rich, I've got it adjusted all the way up. My problem in addition to truly abusing this expensive snow blower by ingesting so many rocks is that the rock size is almost identical
to the clearance between the auger and the chute. Popgadget came over last winter and helped me bend it back once.
I once had a Ford gasoline garden tractor with a front snowblower, used on pavement, many years ago. Then my Gravely garden tractor with a front mount blower.
That ate everything but the Sunday Times. Sunday paper jammed it really well. Had a small electric powered shovel too. And an electric small snowblower. So have tried a bunch
of different types. Big gravel is like feeding chicken bones to your dog. It isn't going to end well.
But we can get a foot of wet snow here so I need something with more oomph than me for that stuff.

and a day after doing that snow shoveling I'm not walking around half crippled so i guess my body liked the exercise. I had a heat wrap on my neck which likely helped.

perhaps when I'm done clearing the snow I can take my stone rake and make my driveway look like this.

29°F and clear skies, going up to 49° today.

Forecast here is calling for anywhere from 6-18" of snow this week. That's a pretty substantial snowfall for this area, where we typically just get it a couple inches at a time. It will start as rain Tuesday evening, and eventually turn over to snow. I'm hoping we can avoid the ice part in-between. No good ever comes form an ice storm, especially with snow piling on afterwards.

You guys be careful shoveling snow. We all know the penchant for overdoing it, and the potentially grim results. I am frequently guilty of that myself.

Good morning! 51˚F rain, .23" dreary. We might have snow at the end of the week! Time to flex the knee and head to the gym and do on my own PT.
I hope Mostly is OK he did not post last night. Yesterday was a nice day for a long bike ride.

Our contribution to the move effort went well, but was just 1 load in my truck, obviously a different schedule. good to visit with the small group too. So I did get to see most of the 2nd game.

Some time in caretaker this morning before our early afternoon, semi annual dental appointments.

14 early, 43 now, snow is melting but a long way to go.

Had a guy end up in the field across the road, it looked like he got wheel into the ridge from the snowplow, and it jerked him over. He traveled about a hundred yards through the field, parallel to the road, he was only about fifteen feet from the road. That AWD Escape was no match for deep snow. I went to get the tractor and a guy in a Silverado stopped and pulled him out. Had to pull him backwards, he had too much snow and mud in the front. The road was clear, I guess he just drifted into the snow ridge.

From my last real trip three years ago.

Having a bad run at the moment.
New Laptop failed to boot up. HP can't fix it via phone so it has to go back.
Tractor started running hotter tha normal when I was mowing a few days ago. Opened the hood and cooling fan had lost some blades. I touched 2 other blades and they crumbled and fell off. Seems the plastic has broken down after 16 years. New fan ordered. No harm done but no mowing or spraying for a week or so. Far too hot at present to be out there anyway.
I have ordered a zero turn mower so I can finish mowing at night when it is cooler as it has LED lighting on it. Hotter days the next few and hopefully some rain at the weekend.
Daughter having marital problems so she may finish up parking her large mobile home here. She is leaving him the house with his kids. They don't treat her right at all. I think she is making the right move. Should have done it long ago.

We had a bunch of emergency vehicles go past the house late Saturday night, about 10:45. Quite unusual for our area. Turns out there was a car accident just about a half mile up the road from us, and a young kid from Highland died. 15 years old, and a lot of promise for the future according to several online articles I found. Did well in school, and made the varsity wresting team as a freshman. Sad news.
