I always know when the downpours come because it usually moves some of my garden mulch around.
small foodshopping trip, picked up some cash for housecleaners and dropped off some tomatoes to Popgadget's wife.
Their dog Zoe is the nicest dog and just wanted to play with me. It's just a lot of dog to greet you, all super enthusiastically.

now off in a bit to the dentist. Fingers crossed only a cleaning

72 and low clouds...heading to 80. Hope things dry out, behind on mowing.

Ken, we had lots of yellow jacket nests a couple of years ago, but have only seen a single yellow jacket insect so far this year. Hope you get them under control. We have seen much above normal honeybees this year, a good thing. Landscaping looks great.

Kyle, as much rain as we've received this growing season, I'd hate to try to bush hog our fields right now...waiting until late winter/early spring after the winter freezes and frost prep them for the bush hog...I run a 6 ft Woods behind my 31 hp...never had a problem mowing that time of year.

74.4F and clear @ 11:30, heading up to around 82F for the day's high. Looks like the overnight low was around 60F, humidity way down.

Put forks on the Kubota yesterday and moved the pallet in the back of the van with the 2 bales of straw on it over to the barn.

Then moved a pallet with fertilizer and blacktop patch over to the house and unloaded the blacktop patch.

Took that pallet back over to the barn and moved the straw onto it and then brought the empty pallet over to the house for the old washer.

Then moved the aluminum extension ladder from the barn around back for further limb trimming.

Made the run down to Menards in Massillon and picked freezer and coffee filters.

Got the old washer moved out onto the pallet then moved it out of the way.

Unloaded freezer from van onto pallet forks and brought it up to the entryway and with The Woman’s help got it moved inside, unpacked, and moved into the kitchen.

Kid at Menards who helped load it into the van tipped it up pretty good … so giving it 24 hours for the oil and refrigerant to flow back to where they belong before plugging it in.

After getting the freezer moved in I headed outside and brought the Cub around for The Woman so She could get a pair of hand pruners out of the tool bucket.

Then headed around back to start trimming limbs.

All it took was one trip up the ladder with the battery-operated chainsaw to decide I wasn’t going to be doing any more of that:

Much easier and safer just to give the young neighbor who is an arborist a call and have him go up with his climbing gear.

After that The Woman and I contented ourselves with raking up debris and trimming off small saplings coming up out of the ground.

Swapped out forks for the Light Material bucket and got several piles of debris loaded into the bucket and hauled that up to the compost pile.

Brought back another bucket load of wood chips for mulching on the return trip.

More spreading of mulch done.

Did some glyphosate spraying back there as well.

Moved the Cub over to the garden after that to block deer.

Then checked to see what was available to harvest, got a few things: another zucchini, a few tomatoes, some more okra and a bunch more cukes.

On today's agenda:

Need to dole out another week's work of meds.

Get Menards rebates sent off in the mail.

Refill bird feeders.

Clean out interior of new freezer and get that powered up this afternoon.

Run down to corner and grab another 5 gallons of gas for the Cub.

Tomorrow is trash/recycle day so will need to haul those up to cans at the road at some point.

Give large peach tree a good watering with the Buffalo.

Buffalo is probably getting close to empty ... so maybe a refill there.

More glyphosate spraying if wind is cooperating.

Maybe get the last few holes (re)drilled with the 2' auger.

Beyond that just see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Monday ... (y)

Let's try this again. Posted in Humor the first time. Before the second cup :)

Good morning TBN!!
66 now but it's going to be hot and humid again today. HI over 100. 98% humidity right now.

Spent yesterday with the 3 pt QH. Ended up having to cut a piece of the top link connection on the box blade. A modification made to beef it up. Still have a bit more to work on before the top link will catch it.
Also I brought a cut part of the tank up to the shop to weld a hook to it so I can swing it in to place today. Concrete coming Sat so I have a few things to finish up with that.
It's not getting any cooler so I better get to it.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!
I figured you must have been short on coffee

Well Morning again at 1 PM.
Sitting here this morning and wasting time when the power went out. The UPS's kicked in keeping my wife's work computer going and the other one on the Starlink and Mesh router. Guess I'll have to replace the batteries in the older unit it didn't last very long not quite 40 minutes and out of power. I had gone down to check out things and saw that the line fuse for the line that we get power from was blown, drove back down the road and saw the wire down in a corn field. Went back up and visited with a neighbor for a minute. Was just started up the driveway and my wife called the "internet" was down. So stop fire up the IH 574 and back up to the house with the pto generator and power everything up.
Estimated restoration time was 1:45 at 1PM no crew on site so I doubt that time. Well lunch finished time to try and do something productive, we will see how that goes.

All stay safe and well
