Took Mrs. to work than breakfast at local truck stop,2 1/2 hours later chewing fat we all decided get our day started...critter food,dump run,pick up more skidder parts,diesel fuel for the weekend just in case sneak in nap can't forget pick up Mrs. at 2pm.

Drew, nice to hear you are enjoying the return trip... I'm not sure if they still have them, but we stayed in a 'family room', full berth from side to side, bathroom, 3 sofa beds and an upper birth. Kinda big for one person, but was really comfortable.

Today will entail dealing with the MVD..... I had an appointment for this morning, but they cancelled "due to the weather".... really? BUT, I did find out they want to do a VIN inspection. Why? It's a brand new unit. I have all the sale paperwork and the title... They say... "we require a VIN inspection regardless of paperwork". "Unless you have a 'certificate of origin' from the manufacturer ". Wow... can they make it more difficult? All I want to do is register the RV.....

Well, gonna start making some calls....

A sink is not required to splash. Lots of pots are full of splash-able stuff and are on the kitchen countertop. I have never heard it called anything else.

Looks like a C-17 Globemaster. Cargo jobs mainly.

I love when C17s land, looks like a used car lot with all the tires down (14 total I just looked it up).
They also make a really different sound than other planes, we always knew when one was coming in for a landing.
Those engines really scream.

I could never get the Amtrak app to work on my Ipad, because I lost my original password, so I can't check status of train 92, but I think it's pretty much on time, so far.

The only truck stop I know is P&H up on 91 and 302, that's the exit I take to go to camp but I have not eaten there since covid though I will gas up, but man you get a full plate and good eating.

Yea!!! I have finished my total knee replacement physical therapy. Final stretch was 132˚. Goodbye Egore.
A 3 month visit with my orthopedic doctor/surgeon is all that is scheduled for the new knee.
I will of course continue on my own in the gym and trails to improve my endurance which had decreased the last 6 months. I have cut the pain pills to 0-1-2 a day (out of the prescribed up to 12 a day) and will soon run out and will not be requesting any refills.
I plan on starting an easy FireWise brush clearing again next week.

I'm with you Roy, not even considering leaving TBN.

progress I hope after sitting for 45 minutes at DC station, apparently this is where they switch out the diesel locos and replace with electric going North. Allegedly almost on time.
they started train back up, waiting for bump and then ding ding ding

very tidy train station, no trash anywhere, like in Alexandria VA
now if they could only take some of the local politicians out with the trash....

from here North the ride is not all that scenic going through the urban sprawl and the proverbial
"other side of the tracks".

Cool plane. Years ago we saw a similar plane (C5a?) taking off from a small local airport (no tower). This behemoth appeared to lumber slowly down the runway (to the point of looking like it was taxiing from a distance), then half way down the runway it was off the ground at what appeared to be a 45 degree angle. Unreal.
