Wife and I use the Find My app on our iPhones. With her schedule constantly changing, and me working in a sketchy area, it gives us both some piece of mind knowing where the other is. It also makes it much easier to plan dinner.

Close ... St James Ev. Lutheran, just about a block away. We had a crew from Virginia install a digital instrument to integrate with their existing pipes, and they had some interface issues I had to go there to resolve the first time. The second time, they'd been struck by lightning and it fried some circuit boards. We flew out there on Good Friday to get it working for them for Easter Sunday.

Pretty building also.

Got to 19 with an inch of snow and ice. Looking for another inch or so tonight maybe.

My ear kept bleeding so I called the doctor and they said to come right in. So I got there and hurried across the parking lot in the rain. As luck would have it a parking curb jumped in front of me and down I went!
Badly bruised ribs and skin off my arm and couple of minor scrapes. But it only hurts when I laugh, sneeze, cough, move or breathe. Slept in my recliner last night. I’m very sore but not as bad as I expected with the pain level last night. Makes feel like an old man!

Oh wow! Not fun. Hope you get better fast!

Recliners aren't too bad. I sometimes fall asleep in one of ours.

Old age is tough, ain't it, Randy. For me, too, at times. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

I did our income tax return this morning. TurboTax says the IRS won't be accepting them until the 12th of next month, but anyway that's a chore out of the way.

PJSprog said, "I've had to replace a few LED bulbs, too, rip. I went through about three flood lamps in a year on one side of the fixture over the deck. The ones in there now seem to be holding up. I think I just got a bad batch."

Sounds just like my experience. However, yesterday I let a pro replace the light fixture in the enter (ceiling) of our kitchen). He replaced a 3 tube fixture with a new 4 tube fixture and LED tubes. When I asked about keeping a spare, he told me I don't need it, that the ones he installed are going to last longer than I'm gonna live.

Our fields look a lot more empty this morning, 2/3rd of the ewes are now away at a friends farm for indoor lambing, safe from all the crows and ravens.
The mornings are getting noticeably lighter, didn't need to turn any lights on to make breakfast today.

Drew, great to hear your train journey in real time. Your night time rattling along reminds me of an old poem about a Night Mail Train

Randy, sorry you got mugged by a vicious kerb stone. On the positive side, did it take your mind of that bleeding ear ?

The doctor restitched my ear while the nurse patched arm,hand and nose.
