Good morning! 51˚F partly cloudy, South wind heading to the 70s. Knee felt good last night but is letting me know this morning that I might have pushed it to the limit yesterday.

There is a possibility of snow toward the end of the week so I need to go to the store before it is cleaned out.
I also need to continue at the gym, Egore said the stationary bike is the best exercise for my knee at this point.

Nice snow pic Roy, you can really tell it was wet/sticky and not blowing when it fell - like I know anything about snow.

34 earlier, 31 now and still windy. It looks like we are in the path of this weekend’s storm. Forecasts are from 1”-12”, temps 12-35 and possibly just partly cloudy.

Headed to the hospital in a few minutes for my cancer surgery, I hope it’s not too late getting finished, I’m starving now. I don’t like general anesthesia, never had a problem with it, just don’t like it.

Have a good day guys.

Prayers for best outcome of surgery.

Good morning! 27° maybe 31° later.

The closest weather station to where I live claimed 11" of snow. I was out in it early clearing the driveway somewhat. Last evening, where there wasn't any drifting, I would guess 8" - 9" of snow fell. The snow blower got a workout. I had trouble seeing in the morning due to blowing snow and some dumb *ss thought relocating the headlight to the middle of the snow blower was a good idea. I moved it back last evening when I got home so it was on the far right side again.

Got to the bottom of the driveway when the shear bolt failed in the drive system. Had to push it back to the garage and fix that. Left the belly pan off in case I managed to have another issue. I didn't, got everything cleared by about 7:00 last evening. I was sore when I went into the house. Had a glass of Evan Williams 1783 for medicinal purposes.

The drive in and home was rough yesterday. Roads were much better this morning. They must have been working on them last night.

Good luck with the surgery Toppop.

The MSHA refresher training was not bad. I was again stunned by the stupidity that causes some of the fatal accidents. The last year was not a good one in the mining industry, this year is starting off bad.

Everyone stay safe out there.

65°F and no rain

I did get the toilet almost installed yesterday. Missing 1/2x1/2 valve for water supply. Only had 1/2 x 3/8. On the list.

Also got the exhaust fan quieted to normal.

Otherwise, a quiet day

Prayers for all
Be safe and
Have a great day

The last weekend snow forecast was a non event due to warm ground and mostly 34F lows locally.

Today is full sun and 50F high forecast lows in teens and highs below freezing with temps improving by weekend.

Managing freezing mini horse water will require attention on days below freezing highs.

Walmart was mostly out of cat food Sunday afternoon and gas is up near $3. Hospital visitation and elective needs are on hold. The nursing home where the guy lives that I am his gardian reports some positive test results and for me to pay by mail.

Looking for Spring soon.

never fun going under, done it way too many times. I remember having surgery when I was around 5, choice of shot or gas, I took the mask. I still remember them putting in on my face. And recovery in a room that must have had at least 4 patients in it. I was by a window, overlooking the dumpster outside and the noise of the trash truck.
I did get a tonka dump truck though!!!

Was a relative of mine that operated on me. I still have scars from that, things have changed since the 60s.

I looked around for Makita sprockets online, ended up ordering some from e-replacement parts. They were back ordered, but I’m not in a hurry, just being prepared.
The Makita distribution center wouldn't allow a back order, and could only guess at when the sprockets would be available. That seemed odd to me, but maybe it's because they've noticed the unreasonable wear, and are trying to come up with a better quality replacement. One can only hope.
I’m thinking about using PEX, even though it’s not an approved use. Any thoughts from the collected wisdom about that?
The biggest concern I've read about is that PVC, not PEX isn't particularly strong, and if it gets hit with something in the shop, it could puncture. That would release quite a bit of energy in very little time, pretty much like an explosion. It also gets brittle with age, not at all desirable for a high pressure air line.

This outfit makes PEX based air distribution systems, and I think aluminum pipe, too. My worst plumbing misadventure came when installing black iron pipe at the last house, and something like this will get a hard look next time I set up another system.
