34F clear chance of rain snow early hours.

Busy day at pt job but 10 hours later all caught up and boss man got grin from ear to ear.
Not much plan this evening dinner feet up might rough up kittens than share ice cream with them.

Enjoy your evening all.

36°F and cloudy this morning, only going up to 43° today. More rain expected this afternoon.

We made up for the poor meal the previous evening by making Navajo tacos for dinner last night. I cooked up four pounds of taco meat (we didn't use it all ) and The Wife made some fry bread. Delicious. It was the oldest stepson's first time eating them, and he seemed to enjoy it. For those who don't know, a Navajo taco is essentially a loaded tostada made on Native American fry bread instead of a fried tortilla. We first encountered them while eating at the Cameron Trading Post in Cameron AZ during our 2011 trip to the Grand Canyon. Theirs was big enough to feed four or five people. Ours last night were more personal sized.

Wife was hemming some pants for one of the boys last night and had the television on in her sewing room, as she frequently does just for background noise. It was on some satellite channel carrying a show called The Osbournes Want To Believe, which is Ozzy Osbourne, along with his wife and son, reviewing video footage of supposed hauntings, aliens, and monsters, and then bickering over whether or not it's real. I have to admit, it was mildly funny ... mostly due to trying to understand what on earth Ozzy was saying. What a mess that guy is. The entertainment value wore off quickly, though. It reminded me of Howard Stern; initially funny, but boringly repetitive and predictable. I like reminding myself every so often why I don't watch TV.

Every time Ozzy talks its mildly funny!

33° right now...high right around 40°

No dump run yesterday...think I've got a torn or injured rotator cuff in my left shoulder. Since my right arm has somewhat limited strength mobility (from the stroke), definitely going to be some problems to work out somehow.
Just typing is somewhat painful
Roy, I sure hope your shoulder gets better fast. Antibiotics ruined mine.

The Dish equipment is upgraded. The only thing they didn’t replace was the cables 😲 Tech was a nice guy, work order was a mess.

Our cats don’t like strangers. They disappear. Except today, Louie, our MC stayed in whatever room the tech was in and was giving him the evil eye. At one point, he was stalking the guy. I have never seen him act like this. As soon as the guy left, he was back to his normal self.

I've been using a heat pack and Tylenol. Stepdaughter suggested using an ice pack rather then the heat. I'll try that tomorrow...
It's not as painful as it was yesterday and this morning....but, still...
How did antibiotics ruin your shoulder?

Ours normally do disappear. But today was odd. Louie just stayed close like he was on guard duty.

Surprised Dish sent a tech. They just shipped me a new receiver to install myself.

When my back and sciatic are acting up heat doesn't help me and can even make it worse.
Mineral Ice or Bio Freeze do a very good job for me.

50° and cloudy off and on rain yesterday through Sunday. About 1/4” in the last 24 hours.

Kids and grandkids coming tomorrow for Christmas with my group. We’re having taco night and opening gifts.

Got my surgery scheduled for Jan 18, will get my cardiac evaluation on the 3rd at my regular visit. Also have a GP appointment Monday.
Then Tuesday I have a cataract evaluation and scheduling for that surgery. Still waiting on treatment recommendation for my anemia. If it ain’t broke, it ain’t mine! lol

This came with my EGO lithium battery:
"NOTICE: Lithium-Ion battery packs are shipped partially charged. Before using it the first time, fully charge the battery pack."

Mostly - postponed the garden trip to nearer the freeze. I'll go out Saturday. It is supposed to get down to 27˚F here Sunday Morning. My big project for today was to put on a magnetic door stop for a door that always wants to close half way - not good for night time walks. A punny project for sure but the healing knee made it a challenge. Yesterday 300+ new covid cases today just 100+ new cases.
Randy, I hope everything falls in line for your surgery.

Good morning, low 18, high to 32°F. Wind ESE 5 mph. 70% chance of flurries.

I might be going to North Bay today, but I am not sure yet.

The salt came yesterday, 8 40lb bags of it. 4 in the softener and 4 for refills. The delivery driver said that thanks to covid he wouldn't take it downstairs and refill the tank like the agreement says. I think I will be having a discussion with Culligan about that. The agreement was that they refill the tank, which means that they take the salt down stairs and do the deed. Along with a general 'look over' of the equipment. To me it is like paying for an oil change that doesn't get done.

Happy New Year all, stay safe

Drinking first cup of coffee. 32° with fog this morning. Heading to 43° with cloudy skies. Got some more done in neighbors woods. Stacked more branches and logs on pile. Stoked the fire. Kind of different afternoon. Neighbor's wife asked to him to go shopping for baby room furniture. Like so many things there is a shortage of that line of product. I was navigator. Never found anything in stock at 6 different stores. We did stop at JD dealer and Rural King. Didn't find anything baby stuff there either.
Back at burn pile today.
Blue Jays are back feeders.

Looking, at least a refund for services not rendered. Those rules have been going on here since covid started. Some were not getting any salt deliveries. I can still carry my own 40 lbs bags. So I do it my self.

Don, you be careful working in the garden.

Randy, sure hope all your Dr visits turn out in a positive way.

Mostly, we keep adding to the pile. So no finished pictures anytime soon.

Rich, good you got Satellite working.

Everyone enjoy your greeting in the new year. I will be asleep by 9 pm. Will celebrate tomorrow morning with my first cup of coffee.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

They'll discharge to around 30%, IIRC. No need to charge them to full capacity when not in use
I use my 5.0 A/h batteries during the warmer weather since they're relatively light for use with the chainsaw, pole saw and string trimmer. The 7.5 A/h batteries are only used during the colder months with the snow blower...with one exception. EGO sells an inverter which can be used during a power outage...or, for camping. So far, knock on wood, we haven't had a power outage. My stepdaughter has used one on the batteries and inverter for a couple camping trips. We did use one to see how well it works (with the inverter) last winter. At 7.5 A/h battery will keep a light bright for quite a while...as well as charge a couple cell phones.
These won't replace a gas or propane generator, but in times of need, they'll do the job
