41 outside this AM. Heading to lower 50's.

Need to check on the burn pile, was smoldering mostly through the night. Do that and getting a roast beef sandwich slider with the SO were the weekend highlights.

The log splitter is also at the repair shop. Sigh....

Nothing on the agenda for the whole week.

Hope all have a great start to the week. Be safe. Get healthy. Stay healthy.

Don, both my wife's and my PC stopped printing this week, I suspect it was a windows 10 update issue. I ran the HP diagnostic tool that Ron mentioned and that sorted it for both of us.
Thanks Ron and Eric, will try the app. The printer stopped just the "scan to email", and we are running it with an iPad and MacBook no windows 10 involved.

Good morning! 47˚F heading to 80 with sunny skies. Time to get the third batch of nacho kale chips in the dehydrator.

The two flavorful ingredients in the chips are Bragg Liquid Aminos and Nutritional Yeast. Since they are not a simple whole food I had to do some research on how they are made and why they are an acceptable and healthier substitute for soy sauce and Cheese to give the kale an umami nacho flavor. They are used in many recipes in Forks over Knives cookbook and many famous plant based chefs recipes.

I need to do my knee exercises to prepare for surgery, my wife will not be as accommodating as Roy.

Tried the app. The app does not give the option of scanning to e-mail. Only on the printer is that option available, and is still not working.

The wireless network test results report no problems found but the error message that there is a problem connecting to server continues when the email option on the scan is touched.

Morning all, grey out today and chilly.
Wife birthday weekend went well, concert, dinner and glass class all went well.
She made a pendant and me a shot glass, though the teacher did most of the torch work.

Don-That is a lot of Kale! I fixed my HP problems by buying a Brother printer.
Kyle-My son played Trombone for a while, hope your son does well with the new/used one
PopG-thanks for sharing that picture , very cool.

Another tree fell in the back yard and the very tip hit the splitter, undamaged luckily.

Got to meet the opening act Frank Viele at the concert last night, love small venues, maybe 200 people..
John Waite walked past us twice while in line for drinks.
He finished with "whole lotta love" so his band could have some fun. Only song I really liked. Though he did start off with some new songs and a few country songs.

stay safe and be well,

Are you guys ready for Winter? Maybe this will help you get into the spirit of the season.

I got the branch piles chipped Wed. and Thur. afternoon. Now what to do with the piles of chips. I was glad it rained Friday. I needed the rest. Leaves are falling quickly now. A couple more mows and they will be up.

I read in the paper that 4.4 million people quit their jobs in September. I would like to know what is going on there.

I saw the farmer had his raindeer antlers and red nose mounted on his truck. It won't be long now.

Good Morning.
It was 33 and spitting rain when I got up, a high of 45 and clearing is what’s forecast for the day.

Yesterday’s wedding wasn’t bad at all, I actually had a nice time.
When I got home, FedEx had left me an Eley hose reel to assemble.
Went together easily, appears to be well made. My only complaint is that the brake adds some drag even when released. I was also surprised that it doesn’t appear to be made in USA. The first hint was the metric hardware. It was stainless steel, and of good quality, but metric. Then going back to their website, there is no claim or statement as to the country of origin. However, it is of the quality that they advertised.
Apparently I’m sucker for stuff mention in this thread, I’ve got a 15L ultrasonic cleaner on the way as well.

Had to leave the house early this am, I’m sitting in Hampton Roads, VA until afternoon. The big disappointment was that the airport restaurant is closed Mondays, and there is no crew car available to go out. The final touch was that there’s no vending machines either. So we raided the stores on the plane.
Hopefully, I’ll be home in time to accomplish something useful.

34°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 60° today. We'll be in the lower 70s tomorrow and upper 60s on Wednesday, then mid-40s for the rest of the week. Some rain possible today and Wednesday. Was windy and upper-30s to low-40s here all weekend. Didn't get much done outside at all.

I did get the piano tuned yesterday (indoor job), in preparation for the onslaught of Xmas tunes already starting to flow from my Wife's fingers. Wife spent much of her day at her quilting machine.

I almost started my musical journey on trombone, Kyle. When I joined the school band at age 9, I wanted to be a drummer. The music teacher told me she had plenty of drummers, but needed trombones and cornets. I considered the trombone for about three seconds, then chose cornet. About 10 years ago, I found a local guy on Craigslist selling a like-new Conn trombone for $150, and bought it. Kind of like coming full circle. It became my 14th instrument.

We decided long ago that cremation was the way to go as well, David. No need to make a big deal of my death. Wife told her oldest son to put us both in the same box, and give it a little shake every once in awhile to mix us together. Makes me smile just thinking about that.

Silly question, but is the printer TCP/IP addressing configured?

Can yo ping it from another device?

Thanks, Drew,
As might be expected, Covid is very much on people’s mind. Like many of us, Rich’s circle of friends are vaxxed, even boosted, most of family. I suspect those not none for sure will be asked. The odds out is his son’s inlaws. Interesting in that their daughter is a Dr and until parents just got tested, this is their first presence with grandson in over a year. Could be an interesting day with people not well known for keeping quiet.

Good afternoon. 39 now and we probably topped out for the day. But supposed to be low 60’s on Wednesday

Another reasonably quiet day at work. So far. See if it lasts.

Lots of memories today. It was one year ago today was the first day I felt sick with Covid. The first week was alternating days of not feeling good and feeling fine. I will probably bore you with reminiscing over the next 6 weeks……

Everyone stay safe out there!

45° windy.

Guy doing our seminar was from south Michigan, we were discussing sand hill cranes. He thought he heard one while here, and commented on how high they fly, and how he didn’t think they came this far East.
Ron, do yours migrate or stay all year?

I need to get a carpet steam cleaner.

Got to go to dentist soon, hate going there.

Have been making the most of the dry weather, was nice to be able to take the Iseki into fields without making too much mess of the gateways. Finally got on with digging in a replacement gate post that has been cluttering up my mental to-do list for way too long.

My work computer stopped printing, and update got it working again. I believe it might have been a security issue fix.

I work for health insurance, or else I’d be singing Johnny Paycheck also.

And my post mount Eley is still unassembled.

Learning more about Covid and others experience with it is not boring to me. Our grandson and his spouse had a round with it, but not one else in our family has had it . . . so far.

I had no problems sending to my printer from my Asus laptop but since I got the HP it just doesn't work. Very frustrating as I have to save to a memory stick and go to the Mac and print it.
Funny thing is the HP can see the printer but it will not print.
I also had trouble with WiFi on the HP. It kept dropping out ALL the time. I searched the web and found others with the same problem. One guy suggested a driver for another computer. I tried it and it worked. No further problems. It is a $1500 I7 so not a cheap laptop.
