5 nacho kale trays before I put them in the dehydrator. I will be making a total of 20 trays. 1/4 tray per sample snack pac. It will be interesting to see how much they weigh after drying. In the store they sell for $40 a pound.
Had to go and buy extra kale, my garden is not producing large quantities yet. 1 bunch of kale is 98 cents, I’ll be using 8 bunches.

LOL.

Nope ... that's that new truck you're piloting ... ;)

How is your poor Kubota doing? Sounds like major surgery.

How do you think it's doing ?

No sign of the sun here.

Was thinking I might try and do a little more leaf cleanup as The Woman said the winds had died down.

After going outside I see that is not the case here ... plus it's spitting rain. So that will have to wait.

Got hopper and two sunflower feeders refilled, also two suet feeders.

Plus relocated the sunflower tube and suet feeders, pulled the old pole for those and gathered up the wire from the electric fence, covered the concrete mixer and radial arm saw (tarps had blown off)

Ouch, sorry to hear your transmission is playing up. Hope it is not too serious (expensive)

Better news here. Progress surprise. The builders turned up in the hope the weather would be OK and it is hot and sunny. They hope to get some sheeting on today and finish sheeting on Monday depending on wind and weather.
My wife commented that, "that shed is bigger than our house, maybe we should move in there instead of renovating this one" !!!??
NOOO!!!

That is one nice looking barn. Around here, the structural steel is a dark maroon colored, not usually galvanized, unless the type of using steel 2x4 structure.

Ken, hope your wifey had a great birthday.

I wonder what Don got his wifey for Christmas?

Popgadget, do you have bumper stickers that say "My other car is a tractor" or "My other car is a Jet" ?

Me and my friend got his 15 acres baled. It was a light cutting of Coastal Bermuda, only about 10 bales. Lots of chaff.

I had cut my fields on Thursday. If the cuttings are dry enough, we might rake and bale mine tomorrow.

Today, we visited family in Katy Texas, a suburb on the west side of Houston. Miles and miles and miles of nice subdivisions....(a property tax haven) While there, me and the son drove nearby and purchased him a trombone that is well used, but playable. He's been chosen to play the trombone as of now. I told him, it will take a lot of effort and practice to learn it. Right now, sounds like a mama cow ready to calf, or somebody who's eaten a lot of beans.....

Son gets to acolyte in church tomorrow at 9am.

Prayers for our team, and our country.

Coffee is brewing. 34° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 37° with a good chance of Sno*. Changed oil & filter in Whole house generator yesterday. Had to do some repairs to muffler mount. Did not get anything else done. Found a frozen container of spaghetti in freezer. So I did not make a pot of it. Maybe this afternoon.

good morning all.
30 degrees on a chilly Fall morning with clouds all day and then another shower tonight.

Leaves everywhere, like I never sucked them up yesterday morning. Actually I enjoy doing it, keeps me outside and I'm
just driving around, not raking. I use a couple of batteries in the Makita blower to get the leaves away from trees and driveways and then
just run the mower/bagger over it. Took two loads yesterday. Looks like another two loads later today. Red maple out front really pretty, hate to see that
color go.

But then it's close to time to start putting the xmas lights up. I found an outside receptacle hidden behind a bush in front
finally so solar led lights go up in back and regular ones in front.
ho ho ho

Buppies, hope you are feeling better.

Kyle, I feel for you, my brother played the trombone in high school. All the family dogs would go to the other end of the house immediately.

27 this morning, outdoor cat water frozen solid and frost on everything including the grass. Warming rapidly though, 39 now headed to 54 later. Had a bowl of Life cereal with a fruit cup dumped in it. Had boneless pork chops, Fordhooks and dressing for dinner last night, great combo.
Getting ready for church and playing with the dog and cat. Wife is practicing the piano, I’ll be glad when she gets it trained. She has the singing voice of an angel and is in big demand for all the choirs and such, but she ain’t Ray Charles on the piano. I’m having my coffee and behaving myself.
Not sure what we are doing later, nothing sounds good to me.

Good Morning.
It’s 32 with a high of 45 and cloudy skies.

Didn’t accomplish much yesterday, loaded wife’s car for the farmers market, (they help her unload and set up as well as break down), a little bit of shop work, went to lunch with a friend and neighbor’s for a “Friendsgiving” dinner feast.

Today will be consumed by my friends daughters wedding. Fortunately they have moved it to the inside space at the venue, as it would have been uncomfortably cool outside.

The best part about going to the wedding is that it is keeping me from a trip to Oxford, Mississippi to pick up a group that attended the Ol’ Miss game. That place is always a zoo for the games, there is no where near enough ramp space, they actually stop on the taxiways to unload passengers. So there is a silver lining in every cloud.

Popgadget, do you have bumper stickers that say "My other car is a tractor" or "My other car is a Jet" ?.

Nope. No bumper stickers. And I have more fun flying the turboprops than the jet. We have two Cheyenne 400’s which are stunning performers, Chuck Yeager set the NY-Paris speed record in one of our planes when it was brand new, the record still stands.

IMG_0011.jpg

However, the passengers as well as the market disagrees and prefers jets.
