Happy birthday Ellen and Buppies.

Yesterday was oldest son’s bday. Which means I’m next.

Oldest brother said he was in ER last night, but didn’t say why. Haven’t heard from him since.

Wife made cinnamon rolls, yum

I hear you, grabbed my laptop a couple nights ago to do a quick thing…it was in middle of update and had to reboot, etc. took forever. Guess I didn’t get auto update turned off on this new computer.
I've had the same thing happen. But if you turn off auto-updates, are you gonna miss an important update if a security flaw is fixed?

You’ll get it when you update, at your convenience.

Good Morning!!!! 59F @ 5:15AM. Abundant sunshine. High 83F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Chances of rain are increasing in the 10-day forecast; looks like most of next week will be wet. But I'll believe it when I see it.

I have a set of transmission shims around here someplace too, Bill, but putting my hands on them is a whole 'nuther deal. So I ordered, and received, two more sets, put them in with all the other transmission parts, so the first set should show up any day now. Seems to be the way it's supposed to work now a days. Do you have Harbor Freight in Canada? That's where I got my zerk fitting kit...

Almost every time I check my phone, Ron, it wants to update one or more of the apps. Last night it said five of 'em needed it. Only one of my laptops is on the latest version of MacOS, and it's been a while since it wanted an update. The other two are still on the oldest version for which Apple is still issuing security patches. That's because Adobe went to a subscription model for the HTML editor I use, and being network based, the new version would quickly consume my monthly data cap. The developer of the weather app on the other one has announced he'll no longer support it, so I'm looking for a replacement for that one, too. Next inside day I get, I'll go shopping for an Open Source solutions.

I'm still coughing up smoke from this year's Dixie Fire, Drew. When the class action lawsuit starts for it, I'll be making a claim. Not that it will amount to anything for anyone that actually suffered any damages; still waiting for the Camp Fire settlement, but the lawyers have figured out how to screw the survivors out of pretty much everything on that one, too.

They gonna issue you a 1099 for all your winnings, Don? If not, you could be a tax cheat, too! 😄

Yesterday's painting didn't quite go according to plan. The spray paint on the plastic water tank looks awful because the nozzle would only squirt a 1" diameter pattern, and if I tried to get a 50% overlap, it would go on so thick it would run. So the Krylon Fusion will just be a primer coat, and I'll use a roller to put on the Rustoleum I found on the shelf with a roller. On the gas tank, I didn't notice that the vent on the paint cup on the sprayer was clogged, and the second basecoat wasn't heavy enough. That made the color look sort of brown, and it doesn't match the rest of the body work. I'll see how it looks in the sun today, but I might have to put another coat or two on. I have runs to sand out in the clear, as always, but at least I have plenty of paint left.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Good morning! A surprisedly low temp of 46˚F with absolutely perfectly clear skies, not even a whiff of a cloud.

I was lucky last night with savvy partners and good cards 4 out of 5 hands. That got me 3rd place in the H&F tournament and was able to win back my entry fee and an extra $6.

Happy Birthday Buppies and Ellen!

L4N That is a nice Ford Ranger. Price seems right for that classic.

Drew did the PVC elbow for the gutter break off in the post pic? Maybe the water hitting the post caused the problem.

54F, breezy, and a steady rain @ 08:45, today's high temp might hit 60F ... time to get out the jacket I guess ... :(

Woman had the AC on last night due to temps and humidity, hopefully that will be the last time this year ... although I sure wouldn't complain if it got warm enough again to warrant it.

Rain will be ending soon, but it's wet enough and cool enough that today will be mostly an inside day.

Dole out meds for this coming week.

House cleaning.

Paperwork clean up and filing.

Trip to Menards to pick up order later once rain ends, maybe see if they have any plants heavily discounted in the garden center.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)
