Good Morning!!!! 59F @ 5:15AM. Abundant sunshine. High 83F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.
Chances of rain are increasing in the 10-day forecast; looks like most of next week will be wet. But I'll believe it when I see it.
I have a set of transmission shims around here someplace too, Bill, but putting my hands on them is a whole 'nuther deal. So I ordered, and received, two more sets, put them in with all the other transmission parts, so the first set should show up any day now. Seems to be the way it's supposed to work now a days. Do you have Harbor Freight in Canada? That's where I got my zerk fitting kit...
Almost every time I check my phone, Ron, it wants to update one or more of the apps. Last night it said five of 'em needed it. Only one of my laptops is on the latest version of MacOS, and it's been a while since it wanted an update. The other two are still on the oldest version for which Apple is still issuing security patches. That's because Adobe went to a subscription model for the HTML editor I use, and being network based, the new version would quickly consume my monthly data cap. The developer of the weather app on the other one has announced he'll no longer support it, so I'm looking for a replacement for that one, too. Next inside day I get, I'll go shopping for an Open Source solutions.
I'm still coughing up smoke from this year's Dixie Fire, Drew. When the class action lawsuit starts for it, I'll be making a claim. Not that it will amount to anything for anyone that actually suffered any damages; still waiting for the Camp Fire settlement, but the lawyers have figured out how to screw the survivors out of pretty much everything on that one, too.
They gonna issue you a 1099 for all your winnings, Don? If not, you could be a tax cheat, too!
Yesterday's painting didn't quite go according to plan. The spray paint on the plastic water tank looks awful because the nozzle would only squirt a 1" diameter pattern, and if I tried to get a 50% overlap, it would go on so thick it would run. So the Krylon Fusion will just be a primer coat, and I'll use a roller to put on the Rustoleum I found on the shelf with a roller. On the gas tank, I didn't notice that the vent on the paint cup on the sprayer was clogged, and the second basecoat wasn't heavy enough. That made the color look sort of brown, and it doesn't match the rest of the body work. I'll see how it looks in the sun today, but I might have to put another coat or two on. I have runs to sand out in the clear, as always, but at least I have plenty of paint left.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
