77F and partly cloudy @ 12:45, heading up to a high of 79F.

Hawk was screaming around back for the longest time a bit ago, not sure what that was all about.

UPS delivered plant order a little bit ago that was due in tomorrow ... (y)

Agenda for today:

Finish mowing down here around the house.

Finish service on Kubota. Basically done at this point, except for some greasing and replacing rubber on the pedals. Forgot to unhook the electrical connection for the diverter valve when I took the loader off last night so I'll have to repair the wiring going into the loader-side Weather Pack connector too.

Beyond that, probably more clean up in the garage, get rid of old fluids, etc.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

RS, did you ever get that zerk fitting to pump grease? You've really worked on that thing.

in addition to my new truck woes, in fact the same day the dealer sent a third email saying end of year,
I get a call from driver of JD dealership that just picked up my 12 hour X390 mower to bring back to dealership
and install powered leaf system that was back-ordered when the mower bought.
Ah, Mr A, did you have any front end and grill damage on your mower?
say what...um, no, it was like brand new.
Oh, I don't know how to explain this, hood didn't fit right, blah blah.
No, honestly it was like new and I just blew it off with a leaf blower and walked a 360 on it before you picked it up.

Bottom line is he loaded my mower two inches behind a JD 2 series tractor and I bet when he hit the brakes the mower went forward into
the small tractor's three point hitch and boogered up something.
Well....JD dealers gets a big attaboy, they promised me the tractor Saturday and it's coming back today with a brand new hood and I hope the bagger system on it.
I'm ready to suck some leaves.

now this is interesting: sales guy saw the truck come into his dealership and he just emailed me:
I was standing outside when he pulled into our lot, and I was immediately concerned with the proximity of the 3-point hitch to your tractor.

that sort of sums it up. Guy has been driving for them for 20 years with zero problems.
Stuff happens.

69°F and .43 inches rain.

Information, either correct or challenged to be correct has long been a TBN strength- the main reason we came here. The good people - the big big bonus and why we hang around.

Cottage tenant got 30 cuyd concrete pour yesterday. They asked us up to see latest progress. Place is looking good, but I think they may be disappointed that it will be likely not be completely finished Nov.

H&F this afternoon

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Stuff happens Drew. Good standup by the dealer. Nice truck!

Well, we may be back to the soil, design phase on the septic. Install guys show up for a site prep, break out the laser and....the questions start rolling.

Full stop.

They will take their concerns, which may be of great benefit to us, back to the analysis phase/people.

Keep your fingers crossed.

No rain yet....guess I need to break the mower out on that back lawn.

I forgot to say, RS, I did a filter change on the wifes tractor the other day. Was supposed to be transmission.

Read up on it, and if you do it quick enough, no fluid loss.

Well I park on a hill, get all ready, get the filter loose....and well it is pouring out of there. I mean like.....pouring... slap new filter back on, hmmmm...that did not feel right.

Go look at manual, yeah, wrong side of tractor. I did the hydraulic and not the transmission.

At least I got the filter right.

Went and got a new transmission filter, do the hill parking, and wallah! Change filter and top off the fluids. All is well.

Never read a manual upside down.

Nice truck Drew, welcome back to the Ram club.

Got the grass mowed so far, plan to grill ribs and thighs later.
We are planning a trip up to Smyrna DE tomorrow to visit a brother in law and check out his new building, after a pass through Ocean City to check out the classic cars at the Endless Summer Cruise. Then back to Salisbury for my grandson’s ballgame. Looks like a busy day.

I'm fine with civil intercourse, but too often it deteriorates into hate and discontent, name calling, derogatory responses
That's why "Friendly Politics" turned to sh*t, and even though I'm into political debate, and arguments are sometimes fun...they just don't belong on TBN.

civil discourse Roy....civil intercourse will get your wife mad at you for sure... :) ;)

waiting for JD dealer to bring my mower, otherwise the day is done.
Cleaned out my car, even remembered the USB memory stick plugged in. Erased all the nav destination memories,
not sure what else to do.
My deal with dealer is whatever he gets at Manheim auto auction next Tuesday, and he is estimating more than I thought, he takes $1k profit.
Plus he does all the paperwork, doc stuff, those wonderful indispensable tasks that dealers want to charge you 699 bucks for.

Ken, I've gotten my propane tank refilled at Ferinos too. Tractor Supply is about 4 bucks cheaper but this place sure is easy in easy out.
Plus while you are getting diesel you can walk 30 feet to get propane. Very convenient.

Thomas, so no other customers there, but they wouldn’t install tires?
Just 2 service tech setting in chairs watch Boston news  kinda left me with sour taste.

69F with a heavy thunderstorm and accompanying torrential downpour @ 15:45. A nearby station reports 1.41" of precipitation so far.

It has The Squeak excited.

Still waiting on grease to show up from Amazon.

Finished mowing on east side and back, just west side left to do. Of course, with the warmer temps the grass is back to growing good and the entire front needs cut again ...

Got fluids consolidated, still need to take them up to the shop, storage in the case of the old hydraulic fluid (for use in the log splitter) and into the waste oil drum for the old motor and gear oil.

Also hauled those sawhorses up to the shop, and compostables over to the pile and added those in.

Moved Kubota out of the way and got Cub pulled inside the garage before it really started pouring.

Looks like the remainder of today will be inside.

Well today had a few different turn of events. I was so happy that the tiller started on the second pull but when I move the choke it died never to start again. I checked and tried everything nothing wrong so I called the local repair shop. They said 6-7 weeks before they can look at it. So for $30 I signed up on the tiller list on the garden's website. I emptied the gasoline from my tiller tank and pulled the rope just for fun and it started right up. I put a little gasoline in it and it would not start again. 30 minutes later I got an email saying my garden was tilled. I did not believe the email but when I went out there it was nicely tilled. It's ready to plant next week.

I think an EGO cultivator is in my future.

Drew you move fast nice looking large truck. Did you get your deposit back on the Honda or are you keeping it active in case you want to trade the Ram in next year?

Thomas sorry about the appointment issue, what you do if tire lose it's air ?

Since yesterday morning until noon today lost 1/2 pound so I'll keep close eye on tire...as they say it will only go half flat. ;)

premium gas was 3.79 at Heaths in Lambertville NJ vs 3.99 in PA locally.
When it hits four bucks, inflation has returned with a full band playing.
Regular was 3.49
Good deal in Canada and Hawaii, but getting less so here

Don, I cancelled the contract and asked for my deposit back.
I'm not going to try to flip it which is always a question.
I just don't want to do business with them regardless.
