I assume everyone seeing inflation everywhere? My wife & I for lunch (main meal) went to a local restaurant, each got a hamburger and split large French fries and iced tea...$40 with tip!
So 2 burgers, 2 teas, 1 ff=$40.
Granted, quality loaded burgers, not fast food. Supposedly grass fed Angus beef.

Burger fries and drink at 5 guys was close to $20 before cv. But yea, high for a burger and fries.

72F and "Fair" @ 21:00, heading down to 64F for the low. Chance of a stray shower or thunderstorm overnight. High hit 83.3F today.

Started off with digging out some more compost from the pile to dry.

Then took the ladder up to the shop and went back and got the 65 gallon tank which was full and started pressuring washing the west wall. Went through 2 tanks of water, probably 65% done.

Around 18:30 I called it quits and took the equipment down to the house.

Ordered a new battery for the Black and Decker hedge trimmers from Amazon, will be here tomorrow.

After that I started mowing with the Cub down around the house. Got west side, back, and probably 60% of the east side done. Underside of deck needs cleaned again.

Need to go take a shower and wash the paint flecks out of my hair.

Hope everyone had a great day ... (y)

Roy, sorry about your wife’s injuries, I hope she heals quickly.

Went to watch my middle grandson play ball tonight, he drove in the go ahead runs in the top of the last inning, then came in to pitch the bottom half. Two strikeouts and a ground out, to get the save.

My FIL gifted golf cart is an EZ Go, 13.5 hp Kawasaki inline OHC twin. Very quiet and plenty of power. Very low hours, convertible rear seat/cargo platform, hardtop and folding windshield. I had no idea what to expect, I’d only seen it once before. I think my zero dollars investment is going to payoff!

Good Morning All

Thought I'd send a note here, as I haven't checked in for a bit. The passed couple of weeks have been particularly challenging since dislocating my left shoulder (strong side) when I fell. All of my function and activities are compromised (cerebral palsy effecting right side significantly) and my wife has graciously pushed herself to take care of my needs, and the hobby farm. A role reversal in many ways, as I had been taking care of her, up until now. I'm struggling when I want to be doing. It will be nice when I can at least hold a pen or my cane, get dressed, hold the steering wheel / drive... but for now, I wait, and have pills as needed for pain. It will take time, I know. I insisted on a Dr Appt tomorrow to see why my fingers are still numb ??? Too risky to walk around on the property, for concern of falling again.

I'm between naps. The weather is nice. Enjoy your day. :)
Prayers for you both to get better.

and prayers for Roy's wifey. I know 2 people that have used a knee scooter and both liked them.

I'll bet that was a fun game to watch! I'm kind of with you on the RV thing.

Now Rich knows who has a backup engine if his Kawi flat tracker breaks down. :)

We had strawberry cake with fresh strawberries topped all over it, with strawberry ice cream...Finnly chose.

Made a pot of strong Texas Pecan coffee afterwards to share with some friends that came over. I put way too much coffee in the filter...hee hee

Had a trail of fireants going into the barn, and into the metal trashcan to get at the chicken feed and cat food. Sprayed some ant killer along the 20' long trail...It looked like a mini freeway, about 5 lanes going in each direction.

Prayers for our team, and our nation. Wife and son are watching the 2nd season of The Chosen. Very good series IMO.

Finally back from town. Ridgeline diagnosed but not fixed.
About 3 weeks ago truck was in for a recall on the fuel pump. Apparently the message has to due with the pump O ring not seating properly. New O ring ordered. Of course will have to schedule another trip for the repair. Kinda screwed schedule for the day. Truck safely driveable.

Might be worthwhile getting an extra pin so you can use it to drive out the one that's in there now and preserve the alignment.

Truth be told, I'm pretty sure I have one ... think they are identical to some (but not all) of the other pins used on the loader.

Thanks for reminding me ... (y)

Could be the factory forgot to drill a grease passage in the one you've got, so it needs replacing anyway.

Don't think these particular pins are drilled - just a groove that is machined around the circumference of the pin (in the center), that allows the grease to go all the way around the pin.

Roy, hope wifes surgery is successful.

David, good you can still use truck.

Randy, watching GS must be a real joy. I liked my Golf Cart very much. But the Mule is so much more fun. Sorry RVing did not work out for you. They are a lot of work.

Mostly, time for gopher patrol. Can they be trapped?

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

Roy, sorry about your wife’s injuries, I hope she mends up quickly.
I think I have the choke cherries removed as much as possible! Back pack blower is the only thing I've found that will get them out of the grass! Mower and rake don't help at all. Darn things are so thick they will actually kill the grass! I've been going out almost daily and getting this much:

Need to start work on the pavers again after the weather cools more.

Roy, hope your wife's ankle op has gone well.

It is back to shortages of essential stuff here. Panic buying of petrol has been going on for a few days now, mostly caused by the way that news stations reported on a shortage of tanker drivers. I will give it a few more days to hopefully calm down before I join the queues.

This country has also been short of, off all things, WIND, both on and offshore. They say not since 1961 has it been so calm, which caused more natural gas to be used for generating electricity. A few other electricity transmission issues have compounded to massively put up the prices on the short term market energy market. Legislation limits how much domestic customers can be charged, resulting in several suppliers going bust. Had an email this morning confirming our supplier had gone too. The government has automatically switched us to another supplier. Electricity will inevitably cost more than before, but so far the transition to a new supplier is a very smooth process, no paperwork required from me, I don't even have to resubmit bank details.

Fortunately one other essential looks to be back in abundance - rain should be falling every day for the rest of the week. Lucky us . :)

58° right now...high in the low 60's.

Wife was sent home...no operation or trip to Dartmouth Hitchcock. According to stepdaughter, we have to make the appointment at D-H which makes absolutely no sense. Or, I'm not getting the entire story...
I can see this is going to be totally FUBAR
Anyway, home again today

Roy, that's adding insult to injury. Hope your wife feels much better soon.

Phil, what a mess. Hope the tree is worth it, as in pretty flowers

another great picture Ron.

Scaredy, hope you are doing better.

cloudy morning with small system coming through this afternoon bringing showers and storms.
I'm headed to church with a gallon of specialty masonry cleaner, made for gravestones, and this morning I work on the five
family headstones there, most starting to get covered with that scaly moss. This stuff has a biocide in it to kill all the organic material
but is ph regulated so as not to hurt the granite. Says it takes about two weeks to fully work.
No rush, no one is going anywhere... :sneaky:
using a stiff plastic brush, will take my garden kneeler with me and will give grandparents, parents and wife a good scrub.
