Coffee is done brewing. 60° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 77° with possibility of rain in afternoon. Tractor show was small. Did allow for time to talk with owners. Some interesting stories. Grass got mowed. Took my aunt home. After having a very relaxing weekend with her. PT this morning. Then work with neighbor to clean out a drainage ditch before we get the 3" of forecast rain the next few days.

Happy Birthday Mrs. Kyle!!! 🎂 🎂 🎂 🎁🎁🎁

Thomas, I will have been retired for 17 years next week. 12 of those years wife and I spent traveling in our motorhome. While I did some consulting for company that I retired from for a few years. I have no desire to ever go back to work. Seems like there is never enough time to get all the things I want to get done. I do have neighbors that need help from the guy that has all the tools. 😃

Drew, Costco and Sams Club have some nice sheds on there sites.

MO, nice view of balloons.

Buckeye, no shoes that have been worn out of the house in house here either. Sure safe on cleaning and wear.

Everyone stay safe and healthy.

Good Morning All.

Good morning! 76˚F heading to the high 90s to low100s. Today is predicted to be the hottest day of the year in central TX. A cool front coming Tuesday will get the temps back into the 80s.

Kyle, wish your wife a happy birthday from us!

Drew, good luck on finding a garden shed.

We were at the Palace theater yesterday when we got a text from a old water volleyball player asking if we were at the Palace theater. She was behind us about 5 rows and noticed my wife's brilliant white hair and my lack of hair. We had a hard time finding her because everyone was required to wear mask. After the show she said that water volleyball had to be stopped in August when 8 players, only the ones not vaccinated, came down with Covid. Apparently the volleyball game was a spreader event.

Sad event in town late Saturday night. The pet resort had a fire and 75 pets died of smoke inhalation. They had no one staying with the pets at night. I think there will soon be a new city ordinance.

Got a text from my niece, she is on a cruise (she is fully vaccinated and was a breakthrough case earlier this year). Her brother, my nephew, bought my old 1947 Farmall A from my wife's brother. That would be his Great Grandpa's tractor.

Good morning! 62 now! 82 later. Rain tomorrow and Wednesday. Cooling off as well.

Lot is seat time mowing this weekend. Didn’t seem to get much else done.

Happy birthday Mrs. Kyle!

No flashlight on the handlebars. Waiting for the owner to get back from Cancun. He is going to call me and make arrangements for me to pick up. Sounds like a quick trip to FL.

Everyone stay safe out there

Bird, temp dropped her to 51 and couldn't figure out why my office was so cold as I was sitting here in shorts and no shirt.
wish I could send you some cooling breezes
Meanwhile I'm getting dressed...

I lived in South Florida for three years and witnessed some of the nastiest tropical weather.
That weather seems to be coming further North, storms are more intense, rainfalls heavier and faster.
More tornadoes.
More flooding.

maybe the hot investment today is sump pumps...

bright blue sky on a cooler Fall day

Good Morning.
Looks like another sunny day in the 90’s here in Wichita.

Nothing different to report about training, it’s going pretty well, but a workout at times.

My neighbor has volunteered to mow for me, when I talked him through connecting and operating the progressive pull behind mower, he was fine until I mentioned that it needed to be greased and had about 50 fittings. He asked if the 90” 3PT Landpride was ready to go, which it is. So he is going to use that instead, as well as the Lazer Z.

Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 5:15AM. Abundant sunshine. High 93F. Winds NNW at 10 to 20 mph.
Yesterday the flood of PSPS blackout warnings started, then around dinner time, another one came calling off the whole thing, citing "improving weather". Then the weather service dropped my zone out of today's Red Flag Warning. So some good news to start the week.

Switched the pump controller over to use the new water level float in the top tank, and installed a toggle switch in the line so I can disable the float switch. That'll save me a trip up the ladder to tie up the float in the future should it become necessary to turn off the pump. Still have some cleanup to do dirt work wise, but it's time to call the building department and schedule the final inspection.

Also got the older laptop boxed and arranged for a FedEx pickup to get it back to Apple for new batteries. And hopefully a new keyboard, which is also being recalled.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Morning all, colder morning at 54F-
Busy weekend of kid doing concerts at Havana's in New Hope and Broken Goblet in Bensalem.

He played guitar as usual, did a bunch of singing and even played keyboard for one song.
Don't know where he gets this capability from. The only way I can play music is the pre-recorded kind.

Trench garding got finished finally, my tractor got stung a lot by yellow jackets. Not sure the tires minded
Need to get pic with tractor in trench...next project, more wood splitting and some bulbs should be here this week.

Aunt fell over the weekend and cracked her head and hip. She has serious heart problems. Will call my uncle later for an update. Hope she pulls through..

Kyle-happy birthday to the missus!
RNG - glad to hear no blackouts for now- think the company CEO should have to deal with blackouts, but doubt he does.

Had to start work at 2am for a system test. not the best way to start the day.
The weekends concerts were so good, I am so proud of my son!

Stay safe and be well.

Good afternoon, enjoying a very pleasant day here, plenty of sunshine and only a very light wind, which my wife says is coming from the east. I like any easy life so did not disagree with that opinion, though my herbicide spraying records for this morning say northerly. If a farm inspector should appear (they can come and insist on seeing such records without any notice), they are welcome to debate that with her - while I retreat to a safe distance !

Ken, my kids are also very grateful that they can do things that are not limited by the genes they inherited from me :)

Kyle, happy birthday to your wife.

"makes me wonder for those of you who have dogs what is their favorite chew toy made out of? "
Our Max's favourite chew toy is made out meat. Right now I can see him out of the window, hunting field voles.

Yes Ken, congrats on your son. Proud parent moment!

The music talent missed me, but my daughter has talent. (She needs to practice, it's like pulling teeth to get her to practice right now)

Music is the one thing my son does without prompting.
The rest is a complete struggle, like any house or yard work.

Good Morning.

79F and partly cloudy @ 11:45, headed up to a high of 85F.

Thinking I might take the full 65 gallon tank and pressure washer up and see if that set up will work to power wash the block on the back side of the shop.

Have some ripe tomatoes that need picking as well.

May take the small hand-held spreader later and see about deploying the E-Coriganite on various planting beds. It's a biosolids fertilizer (sewage sludge), similar to MilOrganite, and supposedly deer do not care for the smell. Honestly, it doesn't seem like it has much of smell to me, and what there is doesn't seem particularly unpleasant.

Beyond that, there no shortage of other stuff that needs done to chose from.

Have rain forecast starting tomorrow through Thursday, I'll wait until after that before making any attempt to dig up plants for transplanting.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable, productive, and safe day ... (y)

70°F and rain this morning with a little thunder, going up to 86° today. More rain possible through the day today and into tomorrow. Probably some boomy stuff to wake us through the night. After that, highs in the 70s for the rest of the week.

Three of the six flush mount LED lights in our kitchen have been slowly loosing LEDs and dimming. One has completely stopped working. I opened it Saturday to see if it was fixable, but couldn't find any parts available from the manufacturer (Kichler). I was hoping to just swap out the pc board. No such luck. Read through a bunch of Q&A stuff on their site, and they seem to just recommend taking them back to the retailer or contractor for warranty replacements. No help there, as we want nothing to do with the electrician who installed them ... who we fired and replaced during the remodel. I looked it up online, and they were supposedly available at my local Lowe's. Drove to Belleville IL only to find that they haven't carried that particular light for a couple of years, having replaced it with another brand. It's special order only. So ... need to order some replacements online.

Wife contacted a local shelter about the rabbit in the barn, and they sent someone to come and rescue it. A young couple showed up Saturday evening, found it under some lumber at the back of the barn, and were driving away with it about 20 minutes later.
"Remember what the dormouse said ..."

Sunday morning saw me standing on the side of the hill by the road with a line trimmer. Not a job I look forward to, but one that has to be done. Never measured it, but I'd guesstimate it's somewhere between 50-60° incline. Got that done just as it was starting to get very sweaty outside. Rain started rolling in around noon, so the rest of the day was inside stuff. Got the kitchen camera mounted on the ceiling in one corner. It used to sit atop the old china cabinet, but doesn't get good coverage sitting on the new smaller one in the corner. Made Wifey happy. Made her even happier when I sat on the couch and watched a couple of movies with her. Life is good.

Happy Birthday to Mrs. _in-_Tex.

69°F and .27 inches rain.

Only watched game yesterday. Got lights and exhaust fan installed in bathroom. Fan too noisy, have to find out why or replace. Pleased with the lighting. Went back out after dark to see how well lit. Those led fixtures do a great job. Need to go back and actually install the switches.

Zoom Happy Hour this afternoon.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
