sitting here kind of sore
back was bothering me yesterday, probably sitting too long in unsupportive seats in church.
But off to PT this morning and she gave me some exercises for my back and some heat for it which she didn't have to do.
Then off to go walking along the Towpath near the Delaware River, since the rains have stopped for a while (but coming week's forecast is pretty wet actually)
and the dirt path is not a mudhole. Very pleasant walk, passed my old personal best, the Texas Eastern pipeline, and then forged North to my destination which was the next bridge
over the Canal. That bridge turned out to be a very small car bridge leading to about 8 homes situated right down along the banks of the River.
I was here in 1955. These people are simply nuts to live there, because it all will wash away again, they haven't built much flood control up river.
But until the big one comes, what a beautiful place to live, down along the river banks. Like a certain children's book...
I was dragging by the time I made it back to the car. Figured I had walked at least a mile and a half.
Back was hurting, starting to sweat, that was all I had in me.
And then to my dismay I took the time to measure the distance between the parking lot and the little canal bridge, and it was only
about 2200 feet each way. 4400 feet. Not even a mile.

So...my next somewhat pitiful goal is to get up to two laps.
several other plodders on the path but pretty quiet walking this morning.
one guy on an offroad bicycle roared past me doing at least 20 mph, there was a real humming in his
offroad tires. Just like a big truck... And then another couple went by in matching offroad balloon tired bikes with big
seats that looked quite plush. They were in no rush.
That return bridge just seemed to get further and further away...
which truly shows why I have to go back and do it some more.
I went from being in decent shape with a bad back two years ago to
a jellyfish last year due to months of being hospitalized.
This house is just too small for me to put in a treadmill so have to get my walking outside which is just fine
because there are interesting places to walk locally not far away.
So I'm sitting here kind of sore.
However since no whining headed out to sharpen those mower blades on my new grinder, first time I've had a white
fine wheel on a grinder. Will report back.
Paul, I used an older version of that light, 100W 7 years ago on the back side of my barn, lighting up some storage areas.
The 100W light lit up that area almost like daytime. I can just imagine what doubling that would be.
And I paid for one light what you paid for two (nice coupon) and you got twice as many lumens.
good deal
