Hope you had a nice Birthday Ken. I miss these announcements as I'm a day ahead of you folk.
Cooler day today but sky is clear. It was supposed to rain yesterday, and it did, but only about 3 spots.
Some jobs to do when it warms up.
Still in lockdown. Masks mandatory if we have to got out for important stuff.
Cleaned the truck yesterday then a high flying bird decided to splatter it from a great height. Had to clean it all again. Yuk.
Next time I clean it it will be straight into the car-port. Delay on starting my new barn due to covid lockdown.
Plumbing order is ready for the house but it has to wait as well. Over $1100. just for the copper pipes and fittings.
Can't clad the house until the plumbing is done.
Cabinet makers can't come to quote on a kitchen till lockdown is over. Life is in dis-array/limbo at present.

They say 98% of patients in hospital with Covid were not vaccinated.

In Austin Texas the numbers are about 80% non-vaccinated have been hospitalized for covid 19.
APH announced that 230 non-vaccinated people were hospitalized between July 19 and August 1, as cases locally and statewide surge.
Fully vaccinated patients comprised only 16.55%, or 47 total patients, while partially vaccinated people accounted for 2.46%, or seven total patients, APH reports.

At age 85 the TDL must be renewed every other year in person, which my mother has to do.
Don, it seems there are different opinions and rules posted different places; maybe some are out of date???? I don't know. But the link you posted said for 79 and older (I'm 81) the license is only good for 6 years. But I obviously got the 8 year license. The link says you'll be required to successfully pass a vision. Well, I expected to have to do that, but I was not given any vision test. I was wearing my bifocals and the only time they were mentioned was when she told me to take them off for the photo ID.

sodamo said, "I did have a TI100. Actually, still do. In a box on a high shelf in my shop."

I'm not familiar with a TI100, but I do have a TI-1766 "solar and light powered electronic calculator" that a friend who worked at TI got for me on 6-19-1984 for $12.67. It's laying here on the desk and I still use it from time to time; never had any problems with it. And of course it's never been charged or anything else. Just a handy little shirt pocket calculator.

Interesting. At the bottom of the page it says 2021 and cites the Transportation code sections. There is not much in that law than can be an an opinion and it should be state wide. It's a mystery. When I took my mom they went exactly by the book - in person, vision test and over 85 good for 2 years only (and she had to produce a birth certificate).

Ken, Happy Birthday Yesterday!

PJ, prayers for your FIL.

Got a nice hike in the mountains today...was 59F at the trailhead at 8am.

Yesterday had a few hours alone with the string trimmer and the zero-turn. 🤫

Oops, thanks, Bird. TI-99

Morning all, back from trip to Key West.
Cloudy here, but got some trimming and other work done outside yesterday afternoon.
Yesterday was my birthday- went to a nice Sushi place in Doylestown.

Still catching up on posts, but need to go back to day job.

Stay safe and be well.

My wife & I took a little road trip today, back roads in S.W. Virginia. The crazy things you see! A nice paved road, farms, nice houses, then...a place with camels (!?!), camel pulling a wagon on their porch...then road goes into gravel (wife "I wanna go back!")...then dirt finally end up at a creek (I wanted to cross...wife yelling ) so we go back finding another way.
