66°F and clear skies with some fog this morning, going up to 93° today. Heat advisory issued for the area. 100° on Thursday, then we drop to 79° for a high on Saturday. Aah, Summer in the Midwest.
Walked out of work yesterday afternoon to find my right rear tire was halfway to flat. Went to no less than four different nearby gas stations only to find that two of them had nonfunctioning air compressors, and the other two had none at all. I couldn't see anything in the tire, so I stopped at Walgreen's and bought a $15 can of Fix-O-Flat. Naturally, I couldn't get it to dispense more than about half of the stuff into the tire. Thought about going back in to get half my money back. It did inflate the tire enough to get me out of North STL City and back over to Illinois. I stopped at a BP station just off I-64 ion Caseyville IL and inflated it the rest of the way. It held the air all the way home, and was still fully inflated this morning. Need to stop at a tire shop today to have it checked/repaired. I was just noting to someone about a week ago that I'm going to need new tires before Winter arrives. That's how it goes, I guess.
Wife brought home chicken wings from Wing Stop for dinner last night. Man, I love wings. Garlic Parmesan and two varieties of hot; all delicious.
Best wishes for your cat, BEF. 16 years is a long life.
Kyle, one of our cats is in the habbit of running in front of us when we walk, anytime he wants attention. Sometimes, that attention is the unwanted type. He darted in front of me once right as I was stepping onto the stairs to the basement, and found himself (accidentally) kicked down the stairs. Amazingly, he still does it. He's also bad about laying down right behind me when I'm doing something at the kitchen counter. I've lost track of how many times he's been stepped on or kicked. A glutton for punishment, that one.
