Still a few of those old grey Fergies around here. My local tractor sales has a couple sitting there. Popular for newbies on lifestyle properties.
I used to work part time for a fellow with a caravan/camper business. He had one for moving vans around in the yard. He had a 'oddball' working for him who used to sabotage the tractor on regular occasions but we could never catch him. He kept moving the distributor so it wouldn't start. Being a mechanic I got the job of fixing it all the time. He eventually sacked the bloke when I saw him sabotaging wheel bearings on a camper trailer.

mostly-gas
How do you keep up with everything? Gotta commend you. I shake my head in disbelief sometimes mate.
Kindest regards.
Doug

55° and light rain right now....feels good with an open window...especially after the 90° temperatures we've had.
High today will be in the low 60's...more rain.
Not sure what I'll be doing today...rain stops, I do have some outdoor work

Coffee is done brewing. 49° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 84° with mix of sun and clouds. Got a lot done yesterday. Table and chairs need one more coat of paint. Helped neighbor clean out some shrubs that were overgrown. Then chipped all that we removed. Chipped another pile of limbs at another neighbors place. Going to help take down 2 trees that are dead on property line today before it gets hot.
Wild flowers out in the field.

Roy, up early?

Buckeye, nice tractors.

Popgadget, your Bridgeport is a lot newer than mine and cleaner. It has round cross beam, 1/2 HP and 1/2" Brown and Sharpe collet.

David, good you got bolts tightened and finished mowing.

Everyone stay healthy and safe.

Good Morning All.

good morning all, damp cool morning, big switch from last few days, high today only in 70's with more rain coming in most of day.
Thankfully clearing out for tomorrow and the fields will all be wet so fireworks enthusiasts won't set the fields on fire.

taking a pail of fresh picked beets down to brother this morning, will have coffee and then plan on doing little today in the rain.
Actually need to pick up a couple bottles of wine at State store but it will be madhouse in their today.

picked up a couple of small US lawn flags and will put them out today; got the main flag hung but a 3x5 flag looks pretty big for this tiny house.
I was really surprised to see that Annin could make a flag set, granted their cheaper one, with pole and holder, made in US, for 20 bucks. I've always bought
their better flags before and they would last three or four years in the sunshine. Never liked to see our flag get frayed...

56F cloudy low 60's for high on/off rain most of today :) .

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plan for today trim much as I can before the rain settles in.

Enjoy your day all.

they sure are, marvelous tractors. thanks Dennis. Summer time is time for tractor shows, I'm hoping the local Grange right next to my church
will reopen. Grange Fair. Been going to the same one for most of my life. Another good/much larger one over in NJ in Flemington. It would be fun for us local
TBN guys to meet at one of these local shows. I like the smaller shows, less walking. Old Time Power Equipment show used to come to Washington Crossing Park, near
Ken, and that was always fun. All those fun chuffing and clicking noises as those old machines were lovingly oiled by their owners.

58 and clear. Yum. Had fun watching a deer running around playfully this morning.

Toppop, thanks for the gly price tip. I'm getting low.

BEF, thanks for posting such nice tractor pix.

Kyle, thanks for words of encouragement and restraint.

Buppies, prayers said.

Son and his new wife came in last night and we stayed up late talking and looking at honeymoon pix. Of course, I'm the only one who can't sleep late. He brought me a coffee to try that they like. It's good, but I'm partial to my own, no doubt.

Roy, up early?
Yep...even with my alarm off, I normally wake about 0300-0315... Of course, I'll grab a cigaret, then back to bed for a few more hours...

Got a text from a guy at work...that handheld chainsaw I'd ordered was delivered at the plant yesterday. It was supposed to be delivered 07 July. Way too wet to use it today, but I would like to have charged the batteries and given it a looksee. Oh well...it's locked in a secure area in the shipping dept.

Steady rain and a gentle breeze has helped cool my ears down this morning, the right ear was particular grateful after suffering from an unexpected Covid side effect of too much time in the sun.

My stained Tiley hat offers great uv protection, however I had to leave it at home yesterday while we went to see friends get married. Pandemic rules meant we had to stay outside the venue for the reception for some hours, only being permitted to go inside while eating. This wedding had already been postponed from last year and it was touch and go how fast the rules would be eased for it to go ahead at the beginning of June. Most restrictions will finish in a 2 or 3 weeks time, however we all had to play by interim rules that had us socially distanced inside the church, with no singing nor bell ringing allowed and everyone wearing masks except for the bride, groom and the vicar. Even so it was a great day for all. Not many wedding albums have pictures of bridesmaids wearing masks that perfectly match their dresses !

LS, sorry to hear of Kassie's passing after so long.

Saw some old iron today

BEF, they all look splendid.
I hang my head in shame whenever I see a Fergie with immaculate paintwork, in complete contrast to mine, which is now more reddy-brown than grey due to rust, dried grease and decades of slowly dripping diesel. A friend tells me not to worry about it, just be proud to own one that still runs "in authentic original condition" :)
