Good afternoon! 88˚F, H I 95˚F, partly cloudy.

Drew. sine you brought up the fact that lithium is used in batteries and grease, I also looked information on it, it has a lot of uses.

In Medicine:
Lithium is used a a mood stabilizer and is a prescribed medication for people that are bi-polar. In fact they were considering putting it in the drinking water recently during the covid pandemic to reduce suicide.

Researchers Suggest Adding Lithium to Drinking Water to Curb...

"The authors of the study say that the next step is to investigate the effects of adding lithium in trace amounts to the water supplies in communities with a high risk of suicide and high prevalence of mental health problems, substance abuse, and violent criminal behavior."

Also from a study In Texas:

"In a seminal study conducted in Texas, communities that had naturally occurring lithium in the drinking water were associated with lower rates of suicide, homicide, burglary, rape, drug-related arrests, and drug dependency compared to communities with little to no lithium in the water supply [2].
Many studies have confirmed lithium’s ability to reduce pathological aggression, hostility, and violence [3-5] and it is one of the only agents approved for hyper-aggression. Lithium’s ability to reduce impulsivity and aggression may be responsible for its significant anti-suicidal properties [6]."

Good afternoon. We had heavy rain last night that dashed down the grass in the hay fields, leaving only weeds standing tall. My legs are tired out from zig zagging through just one field with a knapsack to try and nuke as many weeds as possible before they can think of producing seeds. Unless it rains (or I think of a good excuse), I ought to walk the other two hay fields tomorrow.

Yes Kyle it is fathers day here too, however it is not a long standing historic tradition. It only goes back a few years to when greeting card manufacturers looked over the pond and saw what a massive sales opportunity they were missing. Our daughter has taken to sending me a little something every year, despite me telling her she is only adding to all the "stuff" that will need clearing out one day when I am gone. This year it was biscuits in a tin with a fancy closure - she knows I will not be able to resist adding that to the "one day this will come in useful" pile :)

Wow, that's amazing. Everyone should be on lithium, and we could all get along better.

Got rest of lawn around house mowed.

Watered plants in garden, which it now appears was unnecessary.

Mixed up another 20 gallons of RM18.

Fed fish (except for Super Reds)

Collected up gas cans for fuel run.

Order ready for pick up @ Menards.

The Woman stopped at HFT up in Streetsboro for item, we'll see if they let her use the 20% off coupon on it.

Rain now over ... at least for the moment.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 63° with rain this morning. Heading to 72° with continued rain. Got 2.21" of rain since about 10 last night. Had a good Fathers Day. Not much planned for today. Should be a good conserve energy day.
Hawk got photobombed by a wasp.

Good morning! 68 now, 79 later. Storms are headed this way. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler.

We worked outside all weekend. Yard is mowed, garden tilled, flower beds cleaned and fresh mulch down, etc. it was humid out there yesterday.

Everyone stay safe out there!

Good morning
73 gonna get close to 90 with chance of thunderstorms late in the day.

Yesterday’s steel fab project for son went well, we had a good time working together on it, grandson and DIL came by to supervise.
Spent the rest of the day in the shop and upstairs in the music room. Did go for a walk around the pond, lots of big frogs out.

No outside activities planned for today. Just shop time.

Good morning! Warm and muggy here also. 79˚F, 90% humidity, mostly clear skies heading to the mid 90s, H I will be in the 110˚ range.
Cantaloupe is also in the running as the mystery plant.
The big sprinklers are going off in the back this morning, more humidity but the grass is staying green. The golf course gets it's water from several ponds in the neighborhood
Lost my #1 ranking in HF now #2. One game behind first place. Pressure is on tonight. We still have two people in the card games wearing mask - don't know what their criteria is for them to take them off. Anyone still wearing mask in public? If so what will be the deciding factor for removal?

76° and 88% humidity. My youngest son is taking an analytical data course, and needed a data set to use for the class. I pointed him to my online weather data from my ambient weather station. I’m not sure what kinds of analysis he will be doing, but at least it will be for something relevant.

Chance of storms today, but rain predicted for tomorrow.

Morning all, Weekend weather wasn't too bad, some noisy thunderstorms Friday night.
Got the trimming along the swale/trench and front yard done
Then went and knocked over some paint cans on my foot and decorated the basement with blood.

Not fun and could not go in the pool yesterday, but did go out and have our first dinner in a restaurant last night.

Wife made me oatmeal raisin cookies with walnuts- came out perfect.

Happy belated birthday Ron
Hope everyone had a great fathers day.

Stay safe and be well.

From Lambertville Music store above the coffee shop. They have an amazing used guitar and violin selection.
My kid was acting like in a candy store. this was facing acoustics, front half is electric and he has some way out home made and cutoms too.

Good Morning!!!! 73F @ 6:45AM. Lots of sunshine. Hot. High 99F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.
The forecast sez 99F for a high and HOT, but that's about 10F cooler than we had here over the weekend. I wasn't here to "enjoy" it, though, as the temps at 6500 feet at Lake Tahoe were in the comfortable mid 80s.

You folks have sure been busy; took extra long to catch up this morning.

techDay.jpg

Friday was a big food day, starting off with a huge chicken fry steak breakfast at a favorite cafe, and ending with another huge dinner at a very good Mexican restaurant in Tahoe. Even better, our host for the weekend treated. Between helping set up and then helping folks fix their bikes, I stayed pretty busy. Was real nice to see everyone again, as the event was cancelled the previous year. It was also nice to not see any masks; I didn't put one on the whole weekend. Bike ran great, but still needs a swing arm boot, which I carried along but didn't have time to change. I'd rather do that in the comfort of my own shop, anyway. Everyone was up early to help put everything away, and I was on the road at 8:30 enjoying the cool temps and clean mountain air. The last hour or so was more than warm, and I was happy to roll in before noon. Took a nap and relaxed the rest of the day.

Got a few high spots in the trenches I need to work on this morning, then make some phone calls to line up supplies for the week.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start!

Got back home to Central Texas last night. Checked rain gage. Dust only. No rain in the two weeks we were gone. First tip off was the grass was not high. 81 degrees now and up to 93 with a “heat advisory”. Heat index 110-115. Oh well, it’s a “dry heat“ compared to East Texas with 80-90% humidity.

Hope everyone has a beautiful day today!

/ Good morning!!!! #134,640
72°F and cloudy this morning, only going up to 75° today. Boomy storms woke us up several times through the early morning hours, and it looks like we may get a little more rain as the day progresses. Not hating the cooler temps, though, after 11 days of 90°+, including a new triple digit record on Friday.

We had another graduation party to attend Saturday. This time it was a nephew, Wife's brother's son. They rented a hall at the Moose Lodge in Granite City, so no sitting outside for this one. We also stopped to see her father for Father's Day before heading home. We were able to beat some storms headed our direction. Pictures posted by friends on Facebook Sunday morning showed some severe damage in the St. Charles / St. Peters MO areas. Fortunately, that stuff missed us.

Found our groundhog in one of the traps by the barn late Saturday night, and helped him transition to room temperature. Not gonna miss him.

I'd moved all of The Wife's dog agility stuff when I mowed the pasture last week, but never moved it back in place. So, I did that Sunday morning. It's been so dry here that there was no need to mow this week. I will need to take the line trimmer for a walk along the hill by the road at some point this week, though.

Took a nap yesterday that lasted entirely too long. It was glorious.

Happy (belated) Birthday, Ron.
