We have finally got some hot weather here in St. Louis. Highs in the 90’s.

Did some weed spraying on the driveway, roads and under trees.

It’s amazing how much better the weed spray dies when hit snd sunny v cool and overcast!

Looking pretty good.

More to do but, unfortunately, the hot weather, while good for the weed spray, slows me down considerably.

Have a great weekend all.

a fine haul of potatoes Don. That looks exactly like what I planted, about two thirds red and one third white. I think the reds
are more prolific
, . . .
Correct, most red potatoes plants had 3-5 potatoes and most white potatoes plants had 2-3 potatoes.

The fur babies will be waiting for you at the rainbow bridge, all young and healthy.

Good news! The truck is fixed and I will be going south early tomorrow morning to sanitize it and move in. 1st load out of Brampton, ON up to Field, ON, about 6 hours away. The rest of the loads until I get to Thunder Bay district will be coming out of North Bay, ON.

You all stay safe, I will be online when ever I can

Have a good summer!

This was our guest of honor at our church meal tonight. Our first meal together since cv, no masks. 92 people came and most of this guest disappeared.

Got to 90° today.

Hoed my potatoes last night.

75F and clear @ 21:30, headed down to a low of 63F in the overnight. High reached 86F this afternoon.

Got a text this morning from a friend, he had a 55G tank he wanted gone so I saddled up and headed over to his place. Got the tank and a nice office chair in the bargain as well ... (y)

After I got back I watered the plants that haven't been planted yet, along with the ones planted in pots.

Then I mowed the remainder of the lower front, followed by the compost/wood lot.

After that I dug out the pallet in the barn that had the 5 bags of pelletized lime on it and brought it over here to the house.

About that time the sun was kinda getting warm so I worked on raking up the area on the east side of the house since it was in shade. Got one cartload of grass/weeds/leaves and hauled it up to the compost pile.

Then I did a little weeding on that northwest planting bed.

Did some more tree trimming on low-hanging branches around back.

Followed that up with spreading 2 bags of lime down here around the house and then started on 2 more bags on the lower front.

Was pretty well into that when The Woman arrived home bearing Pad Thai ... so I stopped and came on down for dinner.

After dinner I went back out and continued with the spreading.

Came in just as the sun set.

Headed down to feed the fish here in a minute.

One of the S. fryeri females is holding again, and one of the Cyprichromis males is all colored up and courting ... will be their first spawn ... (y)

Hope everyone had a great day.

67°F and no rain

Off to Honolulu this morning. Avoid the pressure of last minute travel. Sophie’s surgery is Monday.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
Hope Honolulu is good to y'all. Prayers for Sophie.
Morning all,
Started the day on the border with my neighbor cutting up parts of a branch that fell between our yards.
Met him out by another branch that was covered with Poison ivy. He seems pretty nice, I asked if I could drop some trees on the border and he said no problem, and he will have someone here monday to take care of the poison ivy branch.

Then went to other border and made a trail to the large healthy tulip poplar that is covered in vines. Cut through most of them before they choked the pole saw. So far happy with the M18 and use it quite a bit from vines to 16" or so branches.
Hope fully the trail will clear up so I can get to the back of the tree and get the last of the vines if any remaining. That tree is big enough it might be able to cover the front yard, road and house, so I want to keep it healthy.

Watching kid playing at School of rock on facebook live. tomorrow he will be live at a pub, first time since covid hit.

Stay safe and be well.

I had 2 pet box turtles as pets, for years, in our fenced backyard. They would come up on the back porch to eat when we fed the dogs. Hope your son has fun playing music.
